Mhonsa Hotel

The location is excellent directly across the road from the Old City entrance. The room was large, the bathroom had plenty of free flowing hot water and the bed was comfortable with pillows that weren’t too soft. The staff were also very helpful with the translations I asked assistance with for directions to give to songthaew drivers. A handy 7/11 straight across the road towards the Old City and 30 metres to the left.

I didn’t have breakfast but I asked another solo guest who was eating and he was happy.

Location is perfect, very close to the old city. Hotel is good looking, with nice Thai vibe. Rooms are spacious, very clean and well equipped. Staff is amazing, very kind and very very helpful. Breakfast is great, everyday you can decide whether you like western style or Thai, I do recommend to take thai option. Pad thai and pork chopsticks are delicious. Honestly everything about this hotel is just great. I will definitely come back here.

The staff was very helpful in renting taxis and letting us keep our bags there overnight, even though we didn’t stay for 1 of those nights. Our triple room had 2 air cons and a separated hot shower from the toilet, plus a mini fridge, vanity section, and hot water plate. the pool was good and clean. There were a lot of places to eat around this area, so you can find a variety of food and drinks. The Scooter Club next door is a good local place to chill.

They didn’t have breakfast available, but since there are so many restaurants and markets right by the hostel, it wasn’t a problem.

The staff were the best part of our stay. Location was great and access to the old city, street food and 7-Elevens were perfect. Pool was on the smallish side but perfect for cooling off after a long day. Scooter rental and massages were within a block away. Breakfast was also awesome.

Our soap and shampoo dispensers didn’t work.

excellent location, only a few minutes away walking from Chiang Mai Gate and a few blocks away from the Old city. Very close to night markets and cafes. staff were wonderful, especially Pop who was always helpful and kind. He was able to organise tours for next day with no hassles and provided great local recommendations for food and shopping. Room was exceptionally clean and perfect amount of space.

For the price I got a good room. Quite big and clean. Staff was kind and laundry service available for good price. Location is just PERFECT in front of the night market in a quiet cul de sac.

At the check in I've been told there is a swimming pool available but the day after I went there and realized the area is closed and the swimming was unused and dirty. I decided to return to my room but I paid the price advertised on Booking.com that of course doesn't do anything to check these situations. Restaurant also not available. No night receptionist. Walls are a bit thin and for couple of days I had a neighbor who annoyed me for the whole night. Reported to receptionist and didn't happen again in the last night. Sheets were not perfectly clean. Mattress was a bit dirty. Overall a good experience though. Would go back.

The location is superb, being 2 minutes to South gate and all its culinary charms, but in a quite cul-de-sac with no traffic noise! The hotel is small but a cut above other hotels in the price range and reminded me of a quality 3 star hotel in Europe. For example, Lighting and power points were available in several locations in the room - at bedside cabinet, desk and also in the dressing area. Noticeably and unusually for Chiang Mai the property has running hot and cold water in the room as opposed to just an electric shower and this was indicative of the higher standards set by this property as was the key card entry system and air con. Rooms are a good size, beds firm but comfy and the shower was powerful and benefited from mixer taps rather than electric. The internet was super fast with90Mb/s up and down.There is a small but nice courtyard swimming pool that was clean and well maintained. Decor was tasteful and quite niche / boutique feel. Upgrade to a large double with sofa recommended for longer stays and there alo good / large triples.I will be accommodating guests for our upcoming wedding here and in general this is a place that I would be happy to recommend to family. It is nice to be able to offer good hospitality without breaking the wedding budget! In fact, the price is an incredible bonus and I guess due the current Covid situation. This is a good 3 star by western standards so fill yer boots at the current price!!! PS There is also an excellent chiropractor 20 yards from the front door which further put the 'crack' in a cracking staycation!!

Front desk was not always manned during the day. But reception could be summoned by phone. I found this reasonable due to the few guests and low prices during the current travel restrictions.

Good cheap hotel near the Chiang Mai Gate food markets. Modern Laundrette just around the corner near a great little cornwr cafe to wait out the spin dryer. Plenty of eateries, massages, exchanges near by and a bit cheaper than Tae Phae Gate or Loi Kroh. Felt very safe at all times, bed was comfy with a daily turn down.

Everything. Location great. Ground floor room, large, comfortable. Staff excellent, breakfast basic but cereal, toast, tea/coffee, fruit and cooked option. What more do you want?

24hr reception is a bit of a comfort thing but when we did need assistance after 10 (couldn't get aircon to work) staff there in minutes. Nothing negative to say. I'd rebook in a heart beat

The room I stayed in had an unpleasant musty smell, the swimming pool was a stinky drain, and used condoms were found in the drawer. The service of the customer service staff is very poor. I waited for half an hour for the pre-booked breakfast and didn't see it. To make matters worse, 10 days of payment was made offline, and they only admitted one week.
