Quiet hotel, good atmosphere - Breakfast is alacratic style selected on the day of check-in. Mostly Thai food which from the popular restaurant in Chiang Mai that everyone should give it a try. But if you don't like Thai food, the hotel also provide others such as ABF or spaghetti. - The staff is very kind. When you've been there for many days and feel bored of food. You can tell the staff what you want to eat that are not in the menu and they will order it for you which is very convenience I really like this place and i will be back again. I was a little nervous when I read all the reviews. But it's not that bad at all. Everything is better than expected . Staff can speak English fluently, and always wiling to help with smile.

Delightful. The hotel suited us perfectly: a secluded place with a beautiful park area, with amazing gourmet food in an Italian restaurant for lunch and dinner, a separate cafe, nice smiling staff ready to help at any time. 100-150 baht on Grab taxi, and you are already in the city center. Gorgeous clean well-maintained rooms, snow-white linens. Breakfasts: look at this volume. We were also delighted with another bonus: the new gym. Thank you all!

The Merchant Villa Chiang Mai has the friendliest and most helpful staff. They really take excellent care of you and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and special. The food was great, the room was amazing, and we everything was squeaky clean. Also there: the most amazing orchids you have ever seen. Best value for your money, lovely place!

Too far to walk into town and at times difficult to get a taxi. I didn’t manage to get a glass of wine the whole week I stayed there. The bar was just for decorational purposes (no staff or drinks) and the wine shop wasn’t open. There was an Italian restaurant on the premises but it was freezing so we didn’t go there. The pool was being refurbished but they let us use another (but not as nice) pool.

For breakfast, they serve popular dishes from local restaurants, which you can pick from. Plus the Italian restaurant (sipolle) is a must try : crab gratin is d best

Quiet area, swimming pool with salt water and jacuzzi, lots of plants and brilliant garden. Caffe and restaurant were excellent. Good breakfast and helpful reception.

The location is great, with a big beautiful garden and a lot of places where you can read or work. The rooms are big and very nice with a lot of extras includee: complimentary water and juice. The breakfast was good and also you have included in the price also two drinks per day at the coffee store near where the coffee is great.

great location if you want to relax and unwind a bit from the busy city. Just 15 minute drive to the center and within 15 minutes driving you are hiking in the jungle. friendly staff and clean rooms. Place has a lot of potential.

rooms could use a little remodeling but as they are upgrading all around it I can imagine this might happen soon.

Great experience staying with this hotel. Surrounded by mountains and nature. The room and bed were comfortable. The decoration of the building is luxurious. Breakfast is served in a la carte style. Mostly are Thai food and ordered from famous restaurants in Chiang Mai. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Around the hotel, there is space for weddings, private parties, etc. Nearby the hotel has a coffee shop, wine bar, Italian restaurant.

Large, comfortable rooms. Huge bathrooms and comfortable beds. Lovely grounds, and being away from the city provides a nice vibe. Good selection of options for breakfast (cold and hot disches)

Staff is very well meaning and helpful, but had difficulty communicating in English on some occasions
