Thavorn Palm Beach Resort Phuket - SHA Extra Plus

The property is amazing in overall, The location is best, karon beach is not very busy and there’s a nice walk by the beach outside the hotel, close to supermarkets, nice street food, massage places and shopping… the room is spacious, the balcony has a nice view, pools are big and kids friendly, food is nice the ciao restaurant and sweet talk cafe, the best part is the petting zoo which my son loved so much, the staff are all very nice and accommodating, thank you Eddie especially.

The noise is a black point in this hotel, they don’t have the keep quiet sign boards in the rooms area, so you will have kids playing at your door step early morning, the housekeeping staff needs to respect the guests when they rest they are very loud and sometimes they even singe while cleaning, the walls in the rooms are not noise Cancelation so you will hear everything from your neighbors, Thé breakfast is very bad, not many choices and the quality of the food is very poor, for poeple who don’t eat pork you won’t eat at all, most of the options are mixed with pork and ham!!! We skipped the breakfast many times because it wasn’t worth it!

Pool areas were great. Good location in a quiet area, beach just across the road. The Italian restaurant Ciao was amazing, highly recommend it!

It’s not 5* hotel like booking.com is advertising it. It’s nice but definitely not 5* quality. Room was very basic, had only one bedside table so had to use the only chair in the room as the other “bedside table”. At breakfast there were little birds flying around (it’s an open air restaurant) and eating croissants from the bread table, not really hygienic. Lots of guests were feeding the birds, saw staff telling people to stop feeding the birds a few times.

-Amazing staff and welcoming -Room size and cleaning -Variety in food and prices -Perfect location, beach just across the street and little shops around the area -If you're a family is a perfect vacation for the Kids 'cause you have many options for them to have fun, for couples and romantic gateaway I'd rather choose another place. I went with my mom and was fair enough 'cause we spent most of the time chilling in the pool away from the slides and pool's bar. -Breakfast full of options and tasty! -Our room was far away from the lobby but was a perfect place to not hear anything o anyone (checkin in/out all the time) I've choosen this hotel 'cause was one of the only hotels with good reviews and not many complains BUT I'd agree with some of them regarding the cleaning of the pool (between the tiles greenish fungus) and the poor english knowledge of the staff when it comes to comunication. It was ok to understand eachother but when it comes to explanations or asking for specific things,the misunderstanding was always present. At the moment of the check in we got our room 45mnts after 15.00 and the twin bed wasn't present but the mistake was fixed right away. Great experience after all! I'd recommend it if you want to relax and chill.

Just a few things to improve that I've mentioned below but nothing bad.

Service was excellent, all staff were friendly and very helpful. Location was perfect, not to far from Bangla Road, just a short Tuk Tuk ride. Beach was very clean not like Kata, and some fun size waves for body surfing.

The bed was a bit hard and lumpy.

The ambient of hotel is really lovely and exotic with lot of green areas, hotel rooms are clean and specious, the location is very convenient, just opposite to Karon beach (that we find one of the best on Phuket) and just 5 minutes walk from local shops, bars and restaurants. There is a tuk-tuk (taxi) station right in front of the hotel with fixed prices so you can easily explore Phuket (including other nearby beaches, Patong, Phuket city etc.). Swimming pools and restaurants in the hotel are very nice, especially pizzeria Ciao & ice-cream shop. Also, we and our son enjoyed the most mini-zoo with animals, that is really a big joy for the whole family, the lady helping us to feed the animals was so kind and helpful, highly appreciated. Generally, all stuff from the hotel was great (including Ms. Jenie from desk).

Slides for kids were too fast and not safe enough as lot of kids got scratches and hotel generally needs renovation (especially hotel rooms & bathrooms). Breakfast is fine but still could be a bit better.

Very good and relax. Went for my wife’s birthday, the room is perfect enough for 3 people. Breakfast is good, staff Eddie is helpful

Great resort with beautiful beach right in front. Nice swimming pools and nice rooms. Big breakfast with almost everything you want.

Maintenance activities during our stay 2022 summer pools did not have working filters. Only one restaurant was open. Slides in the pools are for kids. Karon beach is not the nicest place to stay while in the Phuket province. Has had a big hit of Covid lots of shops and restaurants are closed.

the pools were giving all the kids hideous rashes and the water seemed like it could have been cleaner

Large property with good facilities and in a decent location

There are 3 pools on the property, but we found them quite dirty and ended up using the pool on only one day.

Location, staff, hotel activity.. Kids and family friendly..

No Halal choice in breakfast,,
