Rido Hotel

Perfect location, just the opposite of Da'an Park. The hotel is 1-min walk to Da'an Park Station, Red line MRT (exit 1) and 3- min walk to exit 6 which has an elevator for those who have luggages. 20-min to Taipei Main Station by MRT. There is also a snack bar on the B1 floor which you can have snacks and drinks. 7-11 and PX mart are also nearby, 5-min walk. The room is spacious. Water pressure in both shower box and bath are very strong which I love it.

The room with big and can open windows and a large park across the street. It only 3 minutes' walk from the TRA Metro station to the hotel. There will be no problem while it is raining. If you have luggage, it is better exiting from the exit #6 instead of #1 at the Diann Park Station, it is only four stops from Taipei Main Station, because the exit #6 with elevator. It services free cookie, fruit and bottled water every day in the room. The connection of WIFI is very good and stable. The hot water in the bathroom is great. The staff will guide you the places you want to visit in Taipei.

Staff were very friendly and approachable. They spoke very good English and were very accommodating with any requests or queries that I had. The location being near DaAn Park is great with a 2 min walk to the DaAn Park Forest MTR station. Lovely cafes, convenience stores and restaurants are right next to the hotel. The original Din Tai Fung restaurant is a 6 minute walk away!! The room was very comfortable and quite spacious for a solo traveller. I only visited the snack and coffee bar twice during my stay but it was very nice to have the option to visit in the afternoons for a pick me up. I would highly recommend Rido hotel to any first time visitors to Taipei.

Shower issue: If the main shower head is used (1 main shower head, 1 handheld), water pools in the shower and then runs out onto the bathroom floor. This is seemingly by design as the floor is slightly angled leading to another drain. Not a big issue for me personally but it isn't something that I would recommend for elderly or less mobile travellers due to potential risks for slipping over etc.

The size , the cosines and the comfort is exceedingly good. Easily double the pleasure of a smaller room. And the bathtub is larger too. You can hold a party here. Very nice room.

I left a box of moon cakes in the fridge for cooling and forgot. Subsequently moved to another room. The luggage’s were brought over to the other room. However, the mooncakes were not. If the chambermaid had done a good job she would discover it, but she did not. I left on the 19th , only discovered it after I left the hotel. The box of mooncakes has an expiry date( usually 3-4 days) so please enjoy the box with my compliments.

Very close to the red line and bus stops, so pretty convenient to get around. Room size is spacious and the hotel location is at an area that is not noisy. Very close to the beautiful Daan Park, so you can have a stroll or just hangout for coffee (Louisa Coffee is at the MRT Station next to the park). Water pressure and heater works fine, also they gave comb, pretty decent toothbrushes and paste, earbuds, shower cap. AC can be adjusted according to your liking. Bed is firm but not too hard, so it is just nice for me. The lady at the receptionist speaks good English, so a shout out to her for being very friendly to me! You can hear faint noises from room next door but pretty quite 10pm onwards.

Old furniture and old bedding. Complimentary snacks and tea/coffee is in the afternoon only, itd be great if can be extended longer during the day.

It was a good place to stay for a few days, room relatively big and comfortable. It doesnt offer breakfast but I knew that so no issue (they actually put some fruit and biscuit in the room for a snack, and tea and coffee is available). Great location near MRT and super easy to go around. Only interacted with staff for the main things and they were nice and spoke some English. I would stay again if I go back.

There were only few sockets for plugging devices to charge, and far from the bed. It really needs more because nowadays two people have at least two devices. Just a multisocket extension cable would solve the problem. It was really the only minor discomfort.

The room was spacious; the bed was very comfortable I didn't want to get up. The bathroom was also big. Everything was clean. I particularly like the door separating the bedroom from the entrance. Power sockets were plenty. The location was conveniently located close to MRT Da-an Park and a convenience store. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk to Yongkang shopping district. Staff, especially the day-time ones (a lady and a man with eyeglasses), were really helpful. When we first walked into our room, there was a strong smell of cigarettes smoke. We called the reception, they sent someone with an air purifier. I complained the smell was still there, he offered us a new room. Thanks to him. I will stay here again the next time I'm in Taipei. Note that they don't have breakfast but that wasn't a problem because I love the food in 7-11.

Nothing significant. Just the bathroom is Japanese style so the shower position is low and the shower barrier is small. If we used the bathtub as it was meant to, that wouldn't be any problem. Anyway, it's not a big deal and we managed.

The location across from Daan Park was a delight. Also the area surrounding hotel is upscale and filled with places to eat and show. I LOVED Dreamer Cafe and a lovely Korean restaurant around the corner. The staff were so helpful in directing me to get what I needed and call me taxi as needed. It was wonderfully clean and well designed and furnished. I would definitely stay here again and this was one of three hotels in Taipei I stayed at on this trip

It would be nice to have an outlet next to bed to recharge phone. There is one by desk which worked fine though

The upscale decor and ambience inside the bldg, comfortable bedroom, nice jacuzzi tub although pressure from whirlpool is too weak. Big park across street and various eating places make life easier. MRT and buses right outside hotel Nice hotel staff Afternoon tea time. I missed most of it but they set a small tray of snacks in my room knowing I was out. That's thoughtful.

Washer/dryer outside in the garage area - very strange. But it's free and detergent provided. Bedroom is too tight. Hope their restaurant starts running soon. Otherwise it's great for the value I paid.

I really liked the view of the da'an park. It was beautiful, especially in the mornings. The room was huge, clean and you got several bottles of water and fresh fruits every day. Also very noble decoration, much like a trip to the 1920s.. And the location was really good, not too far from Yongkang Street and national Taiwan university, around which you can also find great restaurants and shops.

Sometimes you could hear other people through the wall. And it would be nice to have a plug next to the bed. Just minor things though.
