Hotel Midtown Richardson - Kaohsiung Bo'ai

The location of this hotel is excellent, just 3 minutes from Exit 3 of Houyi Metro Station. It is close to Heart of Love River, Kaohsiung Takka Cultural Museum, Supermarket, a few local cafes and restaurants in the vicinity and there is a post office. The cleaning lady is very responsible. It has washing machine and dryer on 10th floor, is relatively powerful. At night the surrounding area is safe. The receptionists are helpful. When I am in Kaohsiung, definitely I will book this hotel again.

The towels are a bit coarse, it would be nice if the laundry company added fabric conditioner to it. I arrived at around 11am, it would be helpful, if I can check in a bit earlier than 3pm.

A very nice and comfortable hotel in a convenient location. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly.

FYI, not necessarily a bad thing, but having slept in several of their rooms it is good to be aware that some of the rooms have a separate toilet without a sink, which is instead situated in the room. In addition, the windows can be quite small. But overall the rooms are very comfortable.

The staff was extremely professional and helpful. They could answer my requests very quickly. The location is very convenient, just a few minutes from the subway station. There is a night food market not very far. Overall it was pretty clean.

It's a little noisy. You can clearly hear the voice of people talking in the next room. The room desk is small, not great for working.

Clean and pleasant. The house keeper does a great job despite that we have many suitcases in the room. The hotel is in a convenient location.

The shower door is not sealed so water gets out which made the floor wet. We had to make sure we face certain direction we we shower so water doesn’t get through the hole.

The location is superb. Just one block away from MRT station. The hotel room is not particularly big but good enough for business trip. The housekeeping ladies are very kind. The hotel uses machine for check in and out, it is good not to hand anything over to a receptionist during pandemic time.

During pandemic, the regulation prohibits ppl from smoking in public. There were a couple of times I could smell the smoke in the passage while I waited for the elevator. Not sure if guest could smoke in the room without activate the smoking detecting device. Not the hotel’s fault. This place doesn’t have its own parking. It doesn’t matter to me as I didn’t drive a car.

It’s located in the main road it’s super clean the staff are super friendly & helpfull coin laundry & water dispenser available will certainly stay in this hotel for my next visit! thank You!

the room a bit small. not too comfortable for my big lugage.

the window view was great. my kids said, “nothing like watching traffic while eating take outs.” they still had fun playing hide and seek with each other though.

it was not as spacious. need more walking spaces. the staff was polite, but not exactly friendly

Hotel is 2 minutes walk from Houyi mrt stn and about 2 to 3 minutes walk to Love River. There are nice cafe within 1 minute walk from hotel too. Will definitely book this hotel if I were to visit Kaohsiung again.

Bathroom is small and not much space to hang your clothes.

Really nice bathroom and near the MRT station. Check-in staff was helpful and able to speak English.

The aircon was making weird sounds the entire night and the lobby smelled like smoke. We got a room near the lift and it was not the most pleasant experience.

The room was comfortable, the mattress was just right in terms of firmness. The location was ideal -- it was a stand-alone building with good elevators and a very cool, foreigner-friendly self check-in.

The room was comfortable, though the AC took a while to cool the room. The bathroom was also not completely sealed from the room, which made things not so comfortable. The breakfast (priced at 150 NTD) was not worth it. Having breakfast outside is better.
