Single Inn Kaohsiung

The spa. Great facility with 4 pools with different temperature, sauna and steam room. Needed it after a long day sightseeing. The checkin staff was friendly and recommended me where I could buy a plug adapter. Room was clean. Sheets and towels were fresh.

The room had a gap at the top so light from the corridor and sound from other rooms came through. They provide earplugs though and I used an eye mask. My room only had one plug outlet. Breakfast was quite simple, congee and bread and spreads but at least something.

I arrived with 2 cases, the entrance is on top of a large staircase. just as I was trying to figure out how to get my large bulky suitcase down the stairs the recpetionist had already come upsatirs to assist me. Same for when I checked out the staff automatically went to get my bag and help me take it up the stairs. The set up is big spacious and chill, and the berooms are compfy with enough space for opening & sorting suitcases.

The sinks & toilet facilities were all clean. The issue was the shower & bath area. More an issue with the molding and peeling of the ceiling & walls. Very unappealing & concerning, for health reasons.

Love the concept. You get your privacy with your mini room and still pay hostel prices. Breakfast was ok. One of the selling points for me was the included onsen (hot and cold pool, sauna) but that came with unexpected extras.

Not the hotel's fault, it might have been a one time thing but the ambience in the onsen was to say the least, seedy. I only went once during my 2 day stay and I saw some naughty behavior from some of the guests. Unless that's your thing I wouldn't choose this place based on the onsen.

FREE breakfast, sauna, steam room + hot/cold bath, fast WIFI, vendo machines at the property, friendly and accommodating staff. If you need something, just ask the staff. They'll give you alternatives to save you a few dollars, when applicable. I also think that SINGLE INN LINSEN really values customer reviews. Having stayed at the property a few times, SINGLE INN LINSEN has really improved so much. They also let us stay in the lounge area after checkout for a 2+ hours for FREE.

They're really strict with breakfast time. Make sure to wake up at least 30 mins before free breakfast ends or you'll miss it. Soundproofing has improved, but could be better. But if you really can't stand the snoring dormmates, just ask the staff for FREE ear plugs.

FREE breakfast, sauna, steam room, and hot and cold bath use included in stay. Cozy common areas. Staff is really accommodating, can speak English. Got a Free room upgrade when some leak happened in our room, proving customer experience is superb in this hostel. They gave FREE midnight snacks last Dragon Boat Festival. They can let you stay in the common areas after checkout. The place is of walkable distance to the Formosa Blvd metro and Liuhe Market and other tourist spots.

Just the temperature during hottest parts of the day, but everything else is comfortable even for someone renting the bunk beds.

The Spa Area was really nice and helped to relax after a long day. There are multiple pools with different watertemperatures. From ice-cold to super-hot. Super good value for your money and close to the station.

There is a big gap at the top of the room so you could hear everything. Like EVERYTHING. The night bevor leaving a guy next to me packed his things at 00.30 am and waked up everybody... You can feel every spring in the matress....

Sauna, steam and hot and cold bath. Slippers. Lockers free to use. Space under the bed for luggage. FREE breakfast - salad, bread and 4 options of spreads, congee. This is a basement hostel. For some reason, the ceiling in our room leaked. So they upgraded my stay to a single room (happened on a Sunday) so they can fix the leak ASAP.

During my stay, it was really hot in Kaohsiung so there were moments when the AC temperature didn't feel cool enough, but tolerable.

The staff is kind and friendly. 日本語が堪能なスタッフさんもいらっしゃっいました！ There is no curtain for the bed and each beds are located closely but the room and bed were clean and I could sleep well. The bathroom seems bit old but it is good to have a bath with such reasonable price. It was okay for me but the temperature of sauna was just warm, not hot. But I guess if you ask the staff, they might change the settings. There is such a spacious common space. At the female area, they also have a spacious common area with sofas and a TV. They keep your luggage in their counter which I feel safe after checking out without any charges, it was convenient! It was quite pleasant to stay here:)

Not really

Bed was comfortable and had high quality and very clean pillow and duvet. Breakfast was very tasty (Chinese rice porridge with good toppings, fresh salad and fruit, and toasts with a variety of spreads). Excellent location within a short walk from the train station.

My door sometimes wouldn't close and, what's worse, wouldn't open. I'm lucky this happened when staff was still on site, otherwise if it had happened at night, i would have been looked out.

The room and bathroom are clean. Air conditioner is also cool. The single room is not that big but not too small either, enough for one person and to put huge luggage. Toiletries and towel are provided so no need to worry

Room partition isn’t sound proof so it is easy to hear sounds/voices from other rooms
