This hotel provides the great value as it's quite close to train station (walkable distance) and come with affordable rate (if compare to many hotels around St.Moritz). We got room upgrade, this is unexpected for us. Room is super clean and cozy. All staffs are also kind and friendly. Especially a guy at breakfast room, he's so kind and very helpful.

1) Pillow is too soft for us. But we found similar in other hotels we stayed here as well. 2) This one may not relate to hotel but would like to add as note for other. There is a better way to walk between St.Moritz train station to hotel (especially if you carry a luggage). At train/bus stations, you go left there is a way go thru parking lot and go up with elevator to upper section of road. This is much more convenient than drag a luggage along the main road. There is no clear sign at station!

Hotel was located a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. Lovely atmosphere with a charming interior, decorated with old pictures from the Cresta Run & old artefacts like wooden sledges. The restaurant & bar terrace has a great view overlooking the lake. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We booked the hotel's driver/car to take us to the train station on departure which was great.

Friendly staff. Nice breakfast that was included. If you arriving by train, don't use Google maps. Instead use the escalators that will take you up to the streets closer to the hotel. Beautiful view from our room of the lake.

The room was gigantic though I booked a small double room. Also had a partial view of the lake.

The direction to the hotel should be stated on the website. Similar to a lot of others who stayed at the hotel, we followed Google map and pulled our luggages uphill from the train station. There is a much easier way and you will thank me later - when at the train station facing the main road, turn left towards the flags and look for the big signboard. The 3rd one on the signboard will state 4 mins to St Moritz Dorf. Make sure you pass through an underground carpark and follow the yellow lines and you will come to the escalators / elevator. Take all the escalators to the very top and walk towards Palace hotel. From there, you can follow the Google map path and it will lead you to the hotel.

It was easy to drive to. There was free parking but they warned you before you arrive that there are limited lots. However when I was there, more guests traveled by public transport than by car. So there were plenty enough. I was early an so we’re many other guests. But you can sit in the bar and enjoy a beer and the view from the terrace. The hotel has a more vintage decor yet there are very modern facilities. The lift is small though. The room was not big but had most facilities a traveler may need. A surprise was the Hansgrohe shower with digital control of normal shower, rain shower and jacuzzi like massage sprays, everything from temperature to strength controllable from a digital panel. The room was clean. There is a tv with English channels, kettle with a couple of tea bags, toiletries, hairdryer, but no fridge. All the staff were super polite and helpful. Wifi was good. The breakfast had a great selection and was good. Note if you stay more than a day like I did you get a transport card that entitles you to free unlimited bus rides around the lakes and to as far as Maloja, and also free gondola rides to Piz Nair and Piz Cortasch. You can catch the buses at Schulhausplatz, a 6 minutes walk from the hotel. The whole area is lovely and deserves more than a day stay.

Nothing much. A fridge will be great.

This was a very well maintained old hotel with modern upgrades in the bathroom. The dining hall was old elegant very well maintained. The service was friendly and attentive. The view was picture perfect. We had a balcony that overlooked the town and lake that we enjoyed with a bottle of wine. The communication prior to arrival was excellent offering a fee pickup at the train station. The room provided two bedrooms with three beds, though one bedroom was the pass through to the bathroom, offering my friend and I our own privacy.

The view from the balcony could have been better if the tall trees were trimmed.

Quirky old world style hotel. Our room was large with a wonderful view. The continental breakfast served buffet style was good as was the fondue with had for dinner (had to be ordered a day in advance as not a regular menu item). The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the station. Be sure to cut through the Design Center parking garage and if you have large suitcases take the elevator rather than the escalator to the top floor. As you come out of the Design Center turn left and it’s about a five minute walk from there. A taxi will cost 20 Francs.

The bed was comfortable but the one pillow very flat so if you want to watch TV or read in bed the carved headboard is very uncomfortable.

I found St. Moritz quite ugly to be honest (architecturally), but this hotel was a true gem, one of the few older buildings in town, with a magnificent view to the lake and with a central location. The interior of the hotel had lovely old-time charm, and it was in a perfect condition. As a cherry on top, there was a giant polar bear (teddy bear) in the lobby. A polar bear fan can’t but give 10 points. The staff was nice and relaxed. My classically stylish room was a small double, but it seemed quite large to me, the bed was comfortable, and the room had a minibar and a kettle. The shower was very modern and exciting. Breakfast was also quite good and the breakfast room was beautiful.

We had a beautiful corner room which had large windows on three sides. The room has a panoramic view of the lake and surrounding mountains. The corner desk enabled my husband to work without having his papers all over the room. The breakfast room is spectacular! The breakfast was a great way to start the day.

We live in Australia where smoking is prohibited almost everywhere so to be exposed to cigarettes indoors was something we found very unpleasant. This only happened in the bar area which I know is allowed in Switzerland.

The room was nicely sized, with a glorious view of the lake and the Alps. The hotel had a comfortable old-fashioned feel, with lovely antiques in the common areas. The room was comfortable with 2 chairs and a table and a small desk. Breakfast was good, with the same beautiful view, and wonderful service from the staff in the breakfast room. There is a nice, quiet common lounge near the breakfast room, with games and sofas. The hotel is central (though a steep walk up from the train station), with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. We also benefitted from the transit passes loaned to us by the hotel, and took several lifts up the mountains for walks and views.

Two minor issues: first the headboards on the bed are uncomfortable and it would help to have extra pillows. Secondly, a kettle was provided with teabags, but no coffee, in the room.
