Hotel Walther - Relais & Châteaux

The Hotel is amazing with beautiful ddcorations. The staff is always friendly and very caring. They get to know your likings and are so forthcoming. Every afternoon you can get cake and tea in the salon. The Spa facilities are very nice and clean. The food is amazing. I really liked how the owner Mr. And Mrs. Walther regularly came to ask if everything was in order. They are super friendly to dogs and even prepared a bed for our dog.

My family and I had a great time at the Walther. There was really not much to dislike. The room cleaning was very attentive altough we had twice to ask to come clean the room in order for us to let pur dog in the room. But nothing worth mentioning.

From the moment you see the hotel and then step into the entrance lobby, one has the feelling of being in another, magical world. The elegance, light and design of the classy and spacious interiors and above all, the fantastic staff team and the way they make you feel welcome and special is immediately hitting you like a lightening and you can just leave all thoughts behind and relax. My first surprise was that the team recognized it's my birthday and offerred me the most fantastic gift ever - an upgrade to a suite in the Tower! Simply amazing experience, I will never forget it! The room has a breathtaking view at 180° on the mountains, on top of all the amenities you can think of and still the charm and magic of its history! Definitely a must try even if you've already been at Walther! A welcome note personalized from the owners and a very nice happy birthday decoration of the table at the restaurant were next. The amazing breakfast, the bars and the restaurant, the lobby/ lounge with refreshments in the afternoon and of course the incredible spa and pool areas...you'll not be ceased to be amazed! Thank you so much to the Walther family and staff team for making this such a fantastic stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Walther! The room and facilities (especially the spa area) were great, and the breakfast had a huge selection for every taste, as well as some great local products! I would like to especially mention the staff at the hotel and restaurants, who were simply impeccable, professional and friendly. The owners are always available, and took the time to welcome us, check in with us during dinner and say goodbye when leaving the hotel, which I've never seen before at a hotel of this size. 10/10

Would have preferred a double bed to a twin.

We had a wonderful family weekend at the Hotel Walther. The hotel itself is beautiful, the room we had was bright, spacious and had a nice view on one of the surronding mountains. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The food and drinks offer is tremendous, we've had one dinner at the Grand Restaurant and one at the Colani Stübli and both were excellent. Our 6-year old son had a great time. He particularly enjoyed the playroom and the swimming pool, plus the afternoon cakes served in the lobby (he described the ricotta and chocolate cake as the best he's ever had:) Also the fact that the small and simpler skiing slopes for children (and some older beginners;) are within 10 minutes walk from the hotel was a big plus for all three of us. We will definitely be coming back!

A fabulous hotel, full of old world charm and in a wonderful location. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, nothing was a problem and every request was greeted with a smile. A lovely mix of 5 star service with a friendly, family touch. One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in!

Nothing, it was perfect the way it was!

The Hotel is amazing. Beautiful in every way. The staff are very kind, aware and cater for every need. I brought my girlfriend from the US for her first time in Switzerland and she was blown away when we stayed at Hotel Walther.

Everything was exceptional.

Hotel Walther has a nice personal touch as it is owners-run and properly supervised. We particularly liked the stylish lobby and bar, the delicious food, competent staff and convenience as far as car garage, ski storage, public transportation etc.

Given the high Covid rates at the time of our visit, we would have expected the hotel to request negative test results from all guests. That was not the case.

The hotel has extremely warm and welcoming atmosphere. Mrs Walther greeted us as we arrived to the lobby. During our stay all the personnel were extremely polite and professional, Corona related processes were well considered. We loved the food at the restaurants, including the breakfast. Live piano music in the lobby was soo nice and enjoyable. The spa section was great and relaxing with a pool, and four different kind of saunas´(steam, herb aroma, two separate Finnish saunas). For a Finn it was a heaven! Check-out was kindly handled, car was well washed (by our request) and delivered to the front from the underground garage and last but not least farewell gift to our travels back home. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return. Highly recommend the Walther Hotel!

Very friendly and helpful staff, a quiet room with a great view, a delicious breakfast, and train and bus connections in any direction. A good place for vacation.

An absolute delight with the most friendly, charming and courteous of staff whom catered all our requests including last minute restaurant booking for 8 people! The hotel oozed warmth, character and class.
