Hotel Waldegg - Adults only

Me and my husband had the loveliest stay. Even though it was a one night stay, it felt like a whole perfect weekend. The staff was exceptional - professional, kind, helpful, funny. They really made us feel as home and as valued guests. The room and view was amazing, spa and saunas just what we needed. Breakfast had a bit of all the main things: some bread, salmon, hams, some fruit, overnight oats, nuts and seeds, plus they made lovely omelett and pancakes. We will be going back.

The location is amazing as it looks over the mountains and the town below which is made even more beautiful by its green nature. The hotel shuttle was a blessing as the more than friendly owner of the hotel and his amazing staff would drop us off and pick us up whenever we called for them as everything is always less than 10 minutes away by car. We have never been to a hotel as clean as this one, I was surprised to find that our room was cleaned 2-3 times a day . The Thai restaurant had excellent quality food and was truly authentic ! The owner and staffs’ friendliness and helpfulness truly made it feel like home and we were sad to leave at the end of our stay.

From the reception, the the cleaning staff to the restaurant staff - they were absolutely fabulous! Although this is not a new hotel, it is solid with beautiful facilities that are well-maintained. The spa-area was quiet with an outside jacuzzi with views of the mountains. We could call the hotel at any time to fetch us from the town center. The restaurant on site offered to make us dinner that were not on the (Thai) menu. I hugged the girl that took us back to the station - that's how nice they are!

Wow. I don't think I can do this hotel justice regardless of what I say! They are incredible!! The staff is amazing, the views are to die for, the wellness area is super nice, the hot tub outside is a bliss, the breakfast is good, the rooms are new and clean... Really! Amazing. As a tip, once a month they have a pop up restaurant which serves crazy delicious food by a renowned chef. I'm a foodie and have been to several famous restaurants in Switzerland and around the world and I can tell you this one is totally worth a visit!

Nothing really! Everything was perfect!

the staff was incredibly nice and helpful, they helped me organize the activities for my day and made reservations to nearby restaurants for me. the view was incredible, from the rooms and the restaurant. the Spa and gym were very well equipped and clean, everything was perfect.

the restaurant closes at 8:30pm but they help you find restaurants nearby and drive you there if you don’t have a car.

Amazing stay, delicious breakfast, great views, excellent room, love the town.

Shame buses stop so early as we prefer to get around on them (not the hotels fault) but easy to get a taxi, or walk down into town. Hotel also very happy to drop us off in town so not really an issue.

Top location in Engelberg for the view and long sunshine hours. Wonderful terrace for outside dining even in wintertime. Nice spa with panoramic indoor pool. All the rooms are facing the valley, with a view. The restaurant location and ambience are nice, the half board menu is not traditionally Swiss, but this may be a welcome change with some Asian dishes. Good breakfast, with nice choice of warm food freshly prepared. Staff is very helpful and owners nice hosts.

Some details of the structure may need renovation even if it is very well maintained and the rooms, restaurants and spa are very recent. A bit pricey, but on a sunny day it is worth it. Room a little too warm in winter even with the radiator fully closed.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were able to use e-scooters and e-bikes all the time during our stay. The spa was also amazing.

Hard to think of anything and I am a veteran of 4&5 star hotels. highly unusual for me to find nothing wrong!
