Hotel Bema

The location is excellent, walking distance between two subway stops, one of which is Central Station. lots of restaurants and also grocery shops nearby. The bathroom is large and the shower very good. We only met the receptionist once, very easy to self check in. Plus: there’s a microwave oven for communal use. We chose the no breakfast option. If you want breakfast I understand you are given a voucher for a nearby facility, so be prepared to walk there in the morning.

The topper on the mattress was a bit too soft for my comfort, and the pillow a bit too high, but this is personal taste.

Super well located (10 min walk from the train station and from the main attractions/city centre & restaurants). Very clean, comfy beds and very calm at night even though the window was on the main street. Very simple but all you need for two days visit.

Not to the hotel responsibility but the private flat above has been doing some very loud buildings over the 2 days where we stayed (so couldn't rest in the afternoon & woke up early sunday morning) which was a painful experience...But the hotel reception helped as much as they could, as they were not notified in advance by the flat owner.

Location is good. Hotel informed me in advance that for the check-in time it would be closed so they send door code and every other detail that needed. Hotel is old building but clean and facilities work well. There are some restaurants and 7-11 nearby.

Things that next guests may consider: there was no toothpaste and toothbrushes, no slippers, no robs, small towels. There was no wardrobe. My room was on the ground floor and was quite small. These things aren’t really a problem if you are prepared or you’re staying for a short period. This review is not a complaint, I’m just informing people who will decide to stay at Bema.

Room 16 with an inner courtyard view was quiet and dark at night which meant a good night sleep. The shower was better, but still had some mould in the grout. The bed in this room was comfortable. Staff were very helpful in moving us to this room. It would be nice if the reception was staffed for longer than 9am to 3pm.

Room 19 was facing the road, the Venetian blind was broken, the curtain was thin and barely covered the window. Therefore, the room was noisy and bright at night. The shower was small which meant the shower room floor got wet. There was quite a lot of mould in the grout and the light over the mirror didn't work. The bed in this room is not very good. When I moved my wife was propelled up. Therefore, we asked for a move after one night.

Aside from the excellent location and the friendly and helpful staff, for an economy hotel it had some surprising amenities: a nice coffee service and a mini-refrigerator in the room; wooden hangers and a huge umbrella in case of rain; nice artwork and a Christmas star lamp to plug in. Also, a microwave in the hallway. Of course, the price was unbeatable— I came the week before Christmas and got 2 nights for slightly over $200 US dollars.

I was a little worried when I learned the reception desk closed before my arrival time at the hotel. But the hotel handled it very efficiently by emailing me the code to the front door and the number of my room, which had been left unlocked with the key left inside. No problem at all.

Friendly staff, location, great breakfast at nearby restaurant included. Loved the ease of late night check in with door code and key in room. Reception only available from 9 to 3, but staff still stored my luggage for me after check-out until my flight in a secure location that I was able to access.

Street noise a bit loud, and could block out street lights without a sleep mask.

Such a cute place with the nicest staff, in an area central enough, but not so central you get the noise with it. Amazing bed I would have liked to take home with me. Would also like that kind of water pressure in my building. Also, big thanks to Guven again, for not only replying within minutes to a question asked only hours before my arrival, but also for carrying my big, heavy luggage to my room cause I had hurt my back (carrying the big, heavy luggage).

When I checked out,I forgot my backpack with very important documents.The manager on duty emailed me and when I did not respond,he went to the central station to look for me.He kept calling me and he also extended his duty time.Finally,I was able to come back almost two hours later.I found him waiting and very concerned about me missing my flight at Arlanda.He then drove me back to central station to catch the Arlanda express. I am forever grateful.What a selfless individual.

I loved the hotel very much and I plan to be staying there when am in Stockholm.

Location is great with several metro and bus stops nearby. The central station is also a walkable distance away. We've checked-in early but the staff kindly accepted our luggage and moved it into the room once ready.

The staff-attended times are a bit short (check-in closes at 15:00), but they are still reachable via phone. I've called them once to clarify the check-out process and he got the call right away and explained clearly.

The location was convenient for me . As I made a mistake about under-booking, I DID receive a lot of help from reception who found me a room in the Stockholm Hostel which at first worried me but it was 100% fine, scarcely anybody there and all was well. A lovely park in front of hotel behind which roads lead down to the main shopping street.

All was fine except that I failed to make a note of the open hours and various codes of reception.
