Hotel & Talasoterapia Zelai

Zumaia is a famous place for wild nature and relatively high waves. The hotel is located on on of the most beautiful places, the beach is 2 walking minutes away. The view from the room windows is dierctly to the ocean and hils located near by. The city is small (achievable in around 5-7 minutes by walking). If you would like to be alone in the nature, in 10 minutes you will find peacefull place around. It is a paradise to those who like wild nature and small beaches. The water boiler was inside the room (tee and coffee available as well), additional bonus point. The hotel is also very flexible: if you do not need havy breakfest, you could take a very good coffee from the bar and some cake. You also reserve dinner at the hotel (which is tasty and inexpensive) . If you travelling by car, there is free private parking space at the hotel (another very big plus)

There was nothing to dislike. Short advice: Zumaia is also achievable from San Sebastian by bus. I would also recommend to buy drinking water (available at the hotel bar (2.5 Eur / 2.5 Liter).

We had sea view room on the 3rd floor, and it was really nice! The view was amazing! The Hotel is slightly outdated, but we loved it for it`s absolutely incredible location! The beach, the walking pass, the small town nearby gave us absolutely unforgettable experience and impressions. It was one of the best places we stood during our North Spain exploring. We also liked spa! yes, it`s outdated but still very good in terms of set of different Thalasso spots and general quality. And indeed this is the best place to relax and worm up after windy day outside!

The location was very special indeed, overlooking a glorious beach, and very convenient for walking El Camino. The room had everything we need - nice toiletries, comfy beds, decent bathroom, even robes. The breakfast was very good.

The breakfast waitress was not at all friendly. One might say grumpy in fact! It was a shame that guests had to pay to use the pool. In the end, this wasn't too much of a problem, as the weather was glorious and the beach a minute away so we could swim in the sea.

Perfect place, with unique views to the beach. Having a SPA in the same hotel is also nice. The food was good, especially the breakfast.

I understand that being so close to the sea and having a thalassotherapy facility is a constant battle against the elements, but in my opinion some places of the hotel need a little bit more maintenance.

Amazing location! And free parking. Very clean, good views. Only stayed one night but would go back if I’m the area.

The directions linked in booking.com are not accurate so it took a long time to find. I recommend search the hotel and get directions that way. The mattress in the room we stayed had a bit of “roll together”

The best location in Zumaia. Comfortable rooms, nice front desk staff.

- The spa is extra and it wasn’t explained to us until we asked. - We stayed two nights and our room didn’t have toilet paper even after it was cleaned after the first night.

Close to city, sea and trails. Beautiful places just 10 minutes away (both ways along the see). Tasty restaurant (fish). It has teapot in each room and preety tasty breakfast, but expensive (12 euro).

View on roof more then on the sea. Wasnt totally clean - ants in the bath and dirty miror. It doesnt Say it has parking availble.

Amazing chap at reception, we do not remember his name, but he is a genuine asset for the hotel. Thank you for the hospitality. I saw a few negative comments about the breakfast but this was excellent with traditional Spanish item.

The location was amazing. Sunset, sea view and cliff view were just breathtaking. The spa was wonderful. The restaurant offered great food and the staff was friendly.

There are opportunities of improve on the cleaning and dusting the room.

It is a bit overpriced for what it is - rooms are quite basic and overall the hotel is a outdated Having to pay more for use of the swimming pool.
