Cantagua Hostel

The staff were so cool and kind here. They really enjoyed having my practice my gringo-español with them! ;) I loved the breakfast, location, and how social the hostel was. I would love to come back here in the summertime when it is peak season. I feel like it'd be easier to meet even more new friends there. The actual hostel itself was just so cute and lovely and clean. Great bathrooms too. The beds were fantastic as well. I can't wait to come back to Valencia someday and stay here again!

Honestly, there wasn't anything that I disliked. Everything was fantastic. (I know that isn't helpful feedback, but it truly was just a perfect stay!).

Super cozy interior. Especially the „get together area“ looks super nice and makes it super easy to get to know people. Nice staff which are organizing trips, game nights etc and are in general super nice and helpful if you need anything. The hostel was also very clean

The air condition. That’s actually limiting so much potential. Even if you are having a super nice conversation, playing games or eating together with your new friends… it just doesn’t make as much fun as it could when it’s like 35 degrees inside because the AC only gets switched on during the night. Sometimes we would even go outside for a quick walk because it was cooler there. I get the environmental idea behind it but maybe like don’t let the temperature exceed certain limits where it gets uncomfortable

super social hostel with almost only solo travellers, always doing things together also within activities organized by the hostel. whatsapp group for all guest. a big living room with kitchen so that you can hang out together and meet other guests. really clean rooms and comfortable beds with curtins. One of the best hostels I’ve been to.

the hostel was amazing the only thing which could be improved is breakfast it was very simple with only toast, tee, coffe and orange juice. no eggs or fruits but for 3,5€ you cant ask for more so its fine. there are boxes which can be used to store your own food as well.

Super nice hostel and helpful staff. Very good location in walking distance both to the old town and the City of Arts and Sciences. You can also rent a bike at the hostel, though they are not in the best shape. Bathroom very clean.

It would be better to have the sinks in the bathroom rather than inside the room as this easil wakes up people who are already sleeping. Unfortunately every night there were people coming in very late or leaving very early so the sleep was not the best.

The rooms were very comfortable & it was great to have the privacy curtains for your bed. Also the beds had a little shelf where you could keep your things & lockers below the bunks. The common area was very relaxing and clean. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Staff cleaned each room & it’s attached bathroom every day which was nice. Our room was so clean!

A couple of nights the AC wasn’t on and it got very hot and stuffy in the room. Not a big deal but just make sure to ask that it’s turned on! Also there was a pretty bad sewage smell in the common room that would come & go. Hopefully it was just a temporary thing.

This is one of the best hostels I have been to! It's clean, well located, the staff is friendly and willing to help, the common area is comfy, the bed has curtains for privacy, and the locker is big. They have a WhatsApp group that you can join and be updated about activities promoted by the hostel and also what is happening in the city (events and places to visit or eat). You can leave your luggage with them before the check-in or after the check-out for free. It's a hostel that makes it easy to meet the other guests which is nice for solo travelers that wanna share experiences and not feel alone. I recommend it 100% and would be here again for sure!

The staff were warm and welcoming, helped me with my questions and were polite. It was very calm and quiet, a really nice vibe. But saying that they did have social things organised which was nice if that’s what you are looking for, I’m a nervous wreck so it is not something I can deal with… but they do actually do karioke, games, movies nights and beer pong. After 11:30 is strict quiet time so if people want to move on out they can. So it caters for everybody. I would have booked to stay longer if I could, but they were completely booked up. Really impressed and thanks for the beach recommendation, not touristy and quiet. No complaints at all!! I really appreciated the shelf next to socket for all my nonsense. You also get a reading light! Felt very safe and service. Thank you so much for a wonderful two nights stay. Lorna

From the moment you walk into the hostel you can tell it's different than the big hostels. The feeling is much more intimate and cozy. With only about 30 beds and a central common area, it makes being social easy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is air conditioning to keep the rooms comfortable overnight. The atmosphere and people were some of the best I've experienced in Valencia. Stay here if you can!

The shower drains could use cleaned out since the water becomes a lot around your feet.

It’s a place worth checking out. It’s a small hostel, which was wonderful. There is a breakfast available. They have a WhatsApp group that you can join to keep informed of anything the Hostel has planned (quiz night, walking tour etc) and for everyone staying the to ask arrange to meet up somewhere or do something together. Hostel owners really seem to put their heart in what they are doing. The cleanliness was good. Large area under the bunks for plenty of storage space (lockable). Kitchen facilities are great. Super location, easy walk to get to from train station (20mins). Would stay again.

Staff is very kind and fun. They propose plenty of activities to integrate everyone. The kitchen is well equipped and organized.

The air conditioning stays on between 9pm and 9am, but it is not mentioned anywhere that there is none during the day. If you ever want to sleep a little longer or come back to rest during the day, you almost die with the excessive heat in the rooms. The disabled bathroom's shower has no door, so when you shower, the water goes everywhere.
