Hotel La Ruta

The manager/receptionist is a friendly and attentive guy. The room has all you need without being luxurious, which I personally prefer. Both room and bathroom were clean and the bathroom is modern. (obviously modernized not long ago) The breakfast was tasty. Overall I am very satisfied. They stick to the basics, but do them spot on.

Nothing to complain about really. A minor detail (that might be pedantic) The room would be more cozy if the light bulb had a warmer colour. The cold white light bulb gives the room a sterile flair like in an operating room. (Maybe this was only the case in my room) It is a small detail but it changes a lot in my opinion.

We were 3 peregrinas sharing a 3 single bed room with an ensuite bathroom and balcony. We had plenty towels to use yet used one, beds were made up. So as a peregrina who usually spends a night in an albergue, this was really comfortable with 3 single beds. Close to the beach, like 1 minute walk. And same distance to supermarket. The lobby was spacious, with adjacent bar where breakfast is served. Our room faced street side, but I had no problems with any street noises. It was also on the Camino (de Norte) hence La Ruta, so easy to find location. Plus, a big plus, one of the most beautiful serene beaches I’ve seen on the camino! Another huge attraction was the harbour and its cafes. Not too touristy, really nice ambience. I wanna come back to this place :D

To really name one: maybe outdated. But it was clean. Not much other facilities in the room, but we didnt really need any! We spent hours on the beach, went out for dinner in town, happy days!

Comfortable room, good size bathroom. Water in the fridge. Hair dryer A small comfortable guest lounge (which we used) Bowl of fruit in the lounge. DIY coffee in the morning As we are doing the Camino del Norte it was a pleasant surprise to find that we rejoin the Camino just behind the hotel Very nice host

Comfy room in a great location in the centre of town with a private bathroom. Close to services.

It would've been great if the hotel's restaurant was open for dinner but the staff were very helpful in suggesting other options

They were very helpful and lent me some plates. Nice lobby area and bar and kitchen. Breakfast was fine. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Rooms were small but that was to be expected.

The staff were great, really helpful and patient. The location was fantastic, close to bars shops and of course, the beach and coastal walks. And it was very quiet at night and beds were comfortable.

Some mold on the walls. Sounds of construction in the building in the late morning while I was still sleeping.

wifi signal did not reach to first floor. I suggest buying a wifi extender for guests.

Great location - great front desk! Also has a bar/cafetería on-site that is very convenient.
