Hotel Convento La Gloria

Having read mixed reviews about this Hotel. I didn't really know what to expect. However on arrival the reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was large with a decent sized bathroom, all very clean. The location is excellent. About a 5 minute walk to the Cathedral and the old town is right on your doorstep. If you want a traditional Spanishey place to stay then this is for you.

The Hotel is an old Convent so it has lots of character however my room didn't have a window so at all times it was very dark and I had to leave the Bathroom light on so I could see around the room. Breakfast is also served around 8am which is quite late especially if you have a tour booked and need to leave the Hotel early.

This is my second stay in the hotel, having stayed as a solo traveller in August. This time, we visited with a group of friends. The location is perfect, nice, and central for the cathedral and restaurants. The hotel is spotless, and all the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Nice comfortable rooms and beds. The power shower in our room was fabulous.and great after a busy day of sightseeing. Nice authentic/quirky hotel.

Would have been great to have a street view rather than an internal courtyard view

The location was fabulous, I had not realised how close to the cathedral it actually was. The room was clean and comfortable and the food in the downstairs restaurant was lovely. I loved the quirkiness of the decor and the history of the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Disappointing that the roof terrace doesn't open and is not accessible until 7.30 /8pm at night. Had hoped to chill out and read so for me I would recommend they look at that. €4.50 for a coffee on the terrace was expensive, especially when you can get the same for €2.00 around the hotel.

The ambience was lovely with old world paintings and furniture. The front desk staff were delightful. Quiet and comfortable with excellent access to historic areas. We will stay there again when next in Spain and will recommend to others.

The beds and pillows were somewhat firm but it worked for us. A small nightlight in the bathroom could be helpful. The shower can leak over the tub so perhaps an extra bath mat would be appreciated. It is difficult to find anything that we did not like.

When i first entered this place i felt im in Seville. Staff was sooo nice. The vibe is sooo great. Interior design, tales and paintings everywhere. Amazing! Location was perfect. Room was so cozy and clean, good AC rescuing from the heat outside. Bathroom was super comfortable. Rooftop bar and the restaurant in the building. I loved this place and i will certainly recommend it to anyone planning to go to Seville!

I loved it.

At really old town center next to the Catedral, and historical place changed from Convento. and very convenient to walk to famous tour spots, many tapas bars and restaurants can be found near by.

Only if you will visit by car, then need to consider several narrow streets to pass, and a distant parking garage.

Brilliant location. Fab room, opening the wooden floor to ceiling window shutters in our room to a view of the Giralda. Loved roof-top bar. Great staff.

Couldn't see into the mirror on the wall, too high up, so took off wall and rested on chair. Would have liked mirror over or on dressing table.

This is a property which has been sympathetically converted keeping lots of the original features. The weather was very hot but the air conditioning was very efficient. The situation was ideal for all site seeing with a a great selection of restaurants and cafes. We have visited Seville many times but this area will now be a favourite

Not having any parking But there is a 24hr parking within a short walk

No room window, no bathtub, very small shower, some noise from the lobby at times. I didn’t like blue-white room lighting

Location was excellent for sightseeing Seville, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was very good for Tapas and drinks. The decor was very interesting as Hotel was previously a convent and this was quite obvious in the decoration in both public areas and in bedroom

As the Hotel is an old building, noise travelled very easily and as such noise from the check in area etc was easily heard in 1st floor room.
