Hotel Villa Rosario

Villa Rosario was an exceptional hotel in every aspect. It is gorgeous inside and out. Located on the beach and the beautiful long promenade, one couldn't ask for a better or more stunning location. The hotel rooms were amazing - spacious and very well equipped. High end furnishings. Breakfast was superb. There is free covered and/or uncovered parking. I have looked forward to staying at Villa Rosario for several years and now that it has occurred, I cannot wait to return. This area of Asturias is charming.

Absolutely nothing.

This is a beautifully restored historic property in a great location, right on the Cantabrian Sea. Our room was spacious and elegant. We were thrilled to have a beautiful, deep balcony on which to rest after we arrived. Having Ayalga on premises is a huge plus. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had on our trip. Staff at reception and in the restaurant were top notch.

Nothing. It’s impeccable. The only improvement I could suggest would be to provide outlets on each side of the bed. It was challenging to charge our devices.

Fab location right by the beach, terrific breakfast area overlooking the sea. The bikes could be parked in a subterranean garage across the road under the sister hotel.

The bar was only available by bringing staff from the main building. Also we requested twin beds in all rooms but were presented with a double bed for two Rufty-Tufty bikers to share in one of the rooms. To the hotels credit, they did resolve the problem after a bit of tactful negotiation..

Location, location, location! Where the countryside meets the coastline - stunning seaside setting, enjoyed watching the local surfers. Excellent local walks nearby. Need to book for the local cave with prehistoric paintings but museum was very interesting to visit regardless of missing this, Short walk to the marina and a large choice of good restaurants. Good quality breakfasts. Treated ourselves to the taster menu in the hotel dining room overlooking the sea, had some amazing, unusual dishes, great service too.

The hotel was not able to provide walking guides/information which the tourist information boards did. Would have been useful if this was available at the hotel.

Location fabulous, right on seafront. Very welcoming staff. Spotlessly clean. The chambermaid was lovely, ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. We had a room at the front with a balcony (102) and seating which was very nice. Parking was easy at sister hotel opposite underground. Dinner in restaurant was limited but very good with excellent wine. Nice breakfast. Lovely seaside town with wide promenade and clean sandy bay.

No bar at hotel and limited places on the seafront which were very popular

A lovely seaside hotel in a beautiful spot, in close proximity to the restaurants and next to the beach. A quiet restful spot with helpful staff and a very comprehensive and tasty breakfast. The restaurant now has Michelin status so the food was exceptional but cost more than a ‘standard’ hotel restaurant. However, if you didn’t want to pay Michelin prices, there are dozens of Spanish and fish restaurants within easy walking distance. A delightful quant hotel on the beach - recommended.

Stunning former private residence, beautifully and sympathetically adapted into an elegant and comfortable hotel right on the seafront at Ribbadesella. Spotlessly clean and very well-presented with friendly helpful staff and a Michelin starred restaurant with views across the Atlantic. We didn’t dine there but if the breakfast is any guide, it will be fantastic.

There was nothing to dislike! I just wish we had booked for a longer stay.

Great beachside location and an easy walk to the town. Hotel is in one of the properties built by returning emigrants to South America and Cuba. Lots of wood and historical furniture. Excellent breakfast in a conservatory next door. We had a lovely room with high ceilings and two small balconies, superb bathroom.

I loved everything about this property. The staff were incredibly helpful, calling the caves and restaurants for us to help us make bookings. The building is stunning - something from a wes anderson movie. Plus the location is right by the ocean. We had an incredible breakfast with several courses. I did not want to leave!

We stayed for two nights at Hotel Villa Rosario, bed and breakfast. It was an interesting stay at the end of their summer season. Lovely place quite unlike other parts of Spain we've been to. The front opens onto the beach and the main town in about 10 - 15 mins walk away. Lovely hotel, excellent breakfast. It would be a good spot for exploring the Picos De Europa mountains.
