Beautiful historic architectire and interior design, restaurant available, spacious and attractive two room suite, ample and spacious parking, breakfast pre-ordet.

I booked a room specifically with sleeping for three with a sofa bed in the suite. When we arrived, we were given a suite with only one bed. Since we do not share a bed, this was a problem. There was a suite next door with a sofa bed but the lock on the door was broken so it was not available. The front desk staff was terrific in solving our problem by giving us a second room. But stiil, it wasn't ideal.

Our room was lovely, the bed was of a good quality. The bathroom had a bath which exceed my expectation. The gentleman on reception was really helpful. Dinner was wonderful, well worth the money.

We took two rooms, one in the hotel and the other across the car park, we had asked for rooms to be close. Breakfast was difficult because apparently, we needed to have booked the evening before, however it was sorted out quickly, having said that breakfast is expensive for what is on offer so, it left us thinking maybe it wasn't worth it.

we were walking the Camino del Norte and stayed for a night as it was just a short walk of The Way’. palacia was a little bit of luxury in the middle of nowhere. spacious, attractive bedrooms with large comfortable beds and exceptionally clean & sparkling throughout the building. beautiful design of the Palacio, friendliness of the staff. wonderful 3 course meal in the restaurant and good selection of buffet breakfast.

The welcome was warm, each of the staff were friendly and professional. They did everything they could to accomodate us to provide an excellent meal, when the restaurant was due to be closed. The hotel's refurbishment is beautiful and a joy to experience. Being so close to the port is helpful, yet it is also in a quiet oasis of nature.

There is nothing we did not like. We will return to this beautiful hotel.

Rooms very clean. Beds very comfortable. Interesting menus.

Problem getting from car park to entrance with 2 disabled people steep from parking to entrance. Would have been useful to have steps that flattened out the steepness, or graduated ramp.Three shallow steps to reception rooms. Difficult for disabled. Very little seating in communal areas.

This hotel is a tastefully renovated old building.The continental breakfast was good and the onsite restuarant provided excellent meals and service. Sat Nav took us to the door and the onsite car park. The hotel is about a 15 min drive to and from the Santander ferry.

We had nothing to complain about other than the weather! Over which the hotel have no control!! Will definitely consider staying there again when in that neck of the woods.

We loved the spaciousness of the room and the fact that there was air conditioning. We stayed at the hotel during a heat wave, so the A/C was greatly appreciated. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was quiet and the beds superb. We also loved the delicious breakfast. We wished we stayed longer.

My husband would have preferred more privacy between the two sections of the suite.

Good location, close to ferry port of Santander. Safe parking. Good sized room, quiet, bathroom well appointed. Beautiful restaurant, excellent quality food both for dinner and breakfast, the waitress Elena (or Helen as she preferred!) most friendly and efficient, her recommendations for food and wine faultless.

Very pretty decor in the main rooms downstairs, apart from the bar which seems like an afterthought. But any drink you would want is available. The room was a good size and clean with an air condition actually working

I would have liked to have the choice of a normal continental soft pillow to replace the long hard pillows provided

A beautiful building, good location near Santander and very comfortable, tasteful and spacious inside. Excellent value for money as accommodation, we had a wonderful time. The restaurant was pricey but with high-quality food and service.
