Great hotel. Grounds very well manicured. Great rooms (and we’ve tried a few during our stay). Nice location right on the beach, yet not too far from the city or the harbour. Belle Epoque charm remains overall after the remodeling.

A heatedpool would be nice this time of year. Not clear if you end up with a room with balcony if you book a room with seaview.

A spacious luxury hotel just over the road for the beach. A nice rooftop bar. Very helpful staff. The food and service in the restaurant were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

NOTE TO READER: IT’S A LONG ONE ☺️☺️ My stay at Hotel Miramar was one of my best experiences, and I have stayed at many 5 star hotels, primarily with work but also for leisure. The photographs alone actually don’t do justice, you need to experience it for yourself, this hotel is amazing! It has such culture infused into the modern and sometimes contemporary designs. The exterior and interior design is so intricate, well thought out and simply indulgent for a design enthusiast like myself! My review is based on my experience, expectations, from booking a hotel that I had no prior knowledge of and how some hotels don’t represent the information provided at booking. I LOVED a number of things, only to name a few; Checking was smooth, efficient and a delight! I was given the choice to view and choose the room I liked the most. I got provided all the necessary information about the facilities, reserving a table for dinner, the amazing spa, poolside services, rooftop bar. I was very particular about cleanliness, honestly if I could score higher than a 10 I would without a shadow of doubt! My room was cleaned 3 times a day without me asking, and they also offer turndown service which was a welcomed and pleasant surprise. Dinner was gorgeous from freshly baked bread, the cocktails, the salad! Can I take a moment to appreciate the tomato and feta salad, simple but sooo soo tasty I genuinely will be going back for seconds! Everything is fresh fresh fresh like so fresh it’s unbelievable. The spread of breakfast options caters for everybody, I was so tempted to stay one more night so I could have dinner and breakfast again but had a scheduled trip to Marbella. I could write about my experience all day, but in closing, the Teams are consistent from arriving at the hotel, the lobby, reception, concierge, restaurant, to housekeeping!

Stunning hotel, beautiful pool area, fabulous roof terrace bar looking right out to the beach/sea. The staff were lovely and location wise, it was only a 15 minute walk to the Centre and 10 minutes to the Port. It was a 10 out of 10 from us!

Excellent location for beach, town, and museums. Staff was amazing in terms of adjusting to dietary requirements ( pool and room service), offering good suggestions for restaurants (concierge), gracious supplies of ice and smiles (bar and pool), perfect car service (concierge and the team at front who kept smiling despite the scorching heat!) discrete and efficient cleaning (Room services and throughout ), and a warm welcome and support (reception) .

Breakfast room can get noisy during peak times which is a shame as the location is great. It's a choice between a full sun and quiet breakfast or an air-conditioned one but a noisier.

Spectacular hotel! Very friendly/helpful staff in every function of the hotel. Rooms were exceptional—decor and detail was amazing. Breakfast was among best ever…worth the add on. Lobby and grounds are very picturesque. Easy/immediate access to beach; or outside pool area on grounds is nice alternative. Malaga Central area is 15-20 min walk.

Only minor complaint was drinks and food on the property (e.g. at pool, etc.), while good, were very, very pricey. Convenience may be worth a splurge or two…but, if you are on a budget, you can get very good options at a fraction with walk or short taxi.

A wonderful old grand hotel, across the road from the beach and a 15 minute walk into town. A lovely pool, we had a city view room (side of hotel) but you can still see the sea (i suspect we where upgraded but it wasnt mentioned). Good value for money even though expensive, a lovely experience and a top hotel. There is also a wonderful rooftop bar and terrace.

The pricing is quite odd. Cocktails and alchoholic drinks quite reasonable for a 5* hotel. But a coke by the pool 6 euro and a sandwhich at lunch 21 euro. We tended to eat out for lunch, some high end beach bars and lovely authentic spanish bars nearby.

Great location on the beach, a short walk to the old town with shopping and restaurants, a beautiful hotel, and the staff were amazing. The breakfast was one of the best I've experienced lately with lots of options. The room service menu was reasonably priced for the food quality. We always had enough towels, and housekeeping was great at replenishing what we used up. They would also leave lovely notes for us.

My least favorite thing during our stay was our shower. Every time it was used, you had to be very careful with the doors or there would be water all over the floor. The lights were also a challenge to remember the correct switches; however, I do appreciate that more places are using key cards to regulate energy usage when the room is not occupied.

Buffet breakfast was superb, fantastic quality and definitely worth booking included with room. Pool was lovely and everywhere was spotlessly clean.

Hotel is actually on a busy main road so there is constant traffic noise from the sea view balconies and around the pool. Bathrooms are inappropriate for guests other than couples as there is no door between the bath and the bedroom. The hotel needs a bit of maintenance, the linings were falling off the curtains in the bedroom. All food and drink in the hotel and the spa treatments are unbelievably and unnecessarily expensive. You even have to pay to hire bikes despite paying about £400 a night to stay in the hotel.

Location was wonderful overseeing the beach and close to many restaurants and places. service was excellent at all levels; staff in the front desk were very nice. Rooms were nice, comfy and clean. Breakfast was excellent with varieties of food. Staff at breakfast were wonderful and helpful; hotel is very beautiful with a touch of Al-Hambra Palace decoration, and nice flowery smell. The Hotel arranged for my daily trips to Granada, Cordoba and Sevilla with a private van, driver and guide that met my expectations.

The daily trips to Granada, Cordoba and Sevilla with a private van, driver and guide were a little over priced. The rooms are smaller than in the pictures.
