Hotel La Garapa

Breakfast was delicious-all home made! Staff delightful and really helpful. Hotel lovely. Pool (closed for winter)side beautiful. Hotel grounds -olive trees, orange and mandarin trees, pomegranate trees, lavender, rises, yucca, get the image. Spectacular sunset. We had our own private terrace in the shade too. Easy to get from granada station-tram then bus-bus won’t take cards or contactless. Sort before getting on. Short bus ride from Hotel to Granada and up hill to Monachil-a must for walkers. A bit of a gem of a place

Really loved everything about this hotel. It was very hot (high 30s) when we were in Granada and it was lovely to relax here and cool down with a swim before dinner every night. The room was great and much bigger than we expected. Lovely bathroom too. Breakfast buffet very good with plenty of choice and we had dinner at the hotel on a couple of nights. Evening meals have to be pre-ordered but definitely worth it as food was great. Staff very friendly and helpful, and gave good information about local restaurants, buses, taxis etc. Lovely quiet location. Possible to walk to centre of Granada if it wasn't so hot, but bus stop is only a few minutes walk away, with regular and cheap buses to the city centre. Highly recommend staying here if visiting Granada or Sierra Nevada.

No complaints at all

The location was what we wanted, away from the fuss of the city, it is a quiet nice place not too far from La alhambra, only 10 minutes by car. We decided to pay the parking at La Alhambra and go by car, which was great as it is in a short distance from the hotel and it saved us suffering the 40 degrees temperature, at least until we could. The room was big and comfortable, breakfast was very complete with some local produce, which was a bonus. We also loved the pool.

Nothing really, I would only suggest the management to buy some mattress toppers for people like us who suffer a bit the firmness of some beds, and in summer it would be nice to have the access to the pool open until a bit later, but all in all almost a perfect stay. I would recommend this place to anyone and we are looking forward to come back one day.

Very helpful and kind personnel. We got tips and service we didn't even expect. Room was big and all necessary was included, even separate towel for swimming. Swimming pool was nice. Beds were excellent. There was a small fridge in the room. Breakfast was very delicious and everything was fresh. There was plenty of parking places and short distance to city center. Highly recommend.

Some noice could be heard from corridor.

Although close to Granada and in a generally urbanised area, the location is very calm and quiet, at the outskirts of the village whith several restaurants nearby at walking distance. Swimming pool is excellent, and great to relax after a day in the Alhambra (Granada). Excellent breakfast in nice setting. Very friendly reception. Private parking on site.

We travelled as a family and loved this tranquil hotel and the quiet neighborhood. The rooms were clean, cozy and well equipped. The staff was friendly and helpful. The buffet in the morning was great with a wide selection. We also enjoyed the pool and the mediterranean flair of the hotel.

Amazing place to stay. Very comfortable hotel with friendly staff and nice breakfast. Swimming pool was really nice too. We also got information about how to easily get into from reception, complete with bus schedules and map.

Great location for visiting Granada- frequent bus service (every 15-20 minutes) within 5 minutes walk. Much easier than driving into and parking in city centre Gates to property locked at night -very safe. No problem for guests to access though.

Quality of the mattress, fringe with mini bar in the room but mostly home made products for breakfast (delicious vanilla custard). Aurora at the reception was very helpful.

Little details in the bathroom e.g. small shower cubicle, tap which was too close to the hand's basin. Overall no biggie just to notice.

Everything! This is a little gem in Cajar run by a family (very nice friendly people) Very quiet peaceful place with positive vibes. we stayed in the studio that was situated in the garden surrounded by fruit & veg plants, oranges, pears, cherries, tomatoes and more, chickens …next to the small pool overlooking fields and the city of Granada. Fantastic breakfast, homemade cakes and marmalades, most goods straight from their garden, freshly laid eggs, grape vines lined the driveway… Perfect location only 15min away by car from Granada city centre ; we walked and cycled few times too and its very easy! Secure free parking, very clean, our studio was very spacious with high ceilings. Highly recommended!
