Hotel Castilla Alicante

Perfect location near wide and beautiful beach where is everything (restaurants, bars etc.); close to tram stop - beautiful way to city centre (approx 25min and only 1.5 eur); there is also bus stop but we didn’t use it. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast really good - good coffe, pastry, veggies, cheese, ham etc., just a little boring about warm food (sousages, bacon and scrumble eggs all the time). Bed was very comfy :)

Walls in that building are not so soundproof. We were unlucky cuz monday to friday on our floor stayed group of teenagers (school trip). They were noisy at night, running on the corridor, slamming the doors, screaming….. Teachers could’t control them. Advice to hotel: next time rent all floor for that kind of group cuz people on holiday want to rest (not wake up at 3 or 4 am cuz of unbearable kids.

Room was excellent and felt modern. The staff spoke English and were very polite. There was a safe and hairdryer in the room. Beach towels could be hired for two euros. There was a supermarket that was open all hours a one minute walk away. The beach was less than a five minute walk. Excellent hotel for the price we paid.

As an English person, I love tea, so to have a kettle in the room would have been amazing.

there was free on street parking. My room was terrific and I greatly enjoyed my first stay in Alicante. The hotel was very close to the beach but also surrounded by shops, restaurants etc. I tried the pool, which was open at the end of December, but it was unheated. The bed was large and comfortable and I enjoyed the balcony, for sunlight without leaving the room

There was noise about 3 am and I'im not sure if it was from a local club or car parked nearby.

We liked the location near the beach, the good state of the room, clean and good condition of the furniture. Lovely shower. very Comfy beds. It was a quite time of the year. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment. Was it quiet in the hotel or good soundproofing?

there is no privacy in the swimming pool from surrounding streets. Anyone outside have visual access to the swimming pool area. We asked whether it was possible to vacate the room 1 hour after official checking out time- as our flight was late in the afternoon, and they said no. They offered instead to keep the luggage and use of the hotel facilities- including the swimming pool. Instead we had something to eat in the cafeteria, limited choice and food was unremarkable.

Really close to the beach, and plenty of high quality restaurants and bars. Also, just outside you have connection to a bus and tram stop. The balcony was nice and spacious, along with the whole room. There is room service for food and drinks ~ but we didn’t use it since the selection was limited and we have dietary requirements.

The interior isn’t the best, especially in the lobby and the downstairs area with the bar and restaurant. Breakfast was limited. There was basically only bread and toppings like ham and cheese. Some of the staff didn’t come off as the friendliest.. but still got the job done! 🤠

The location was perfect, having the beach in front was very practical. We also used the pool: nice, big and clean (no pool bar though). The hotel was also very well served by public transport, that we used a few times to go to the city center. Room was clean and spacious. We didn't book the breakfast, so cannot judge this.

Usually hotels provide a towel for the pool, I had to rent one (2€, with a deposit of 10€, which was returned when I returned the towel). We had some noisy neighbors talking late at 2am in the morning in their balcony and we could hear the whole conversation (with our balcony closed).

The hotel exceeded all expectations! One thing is that the hotel was absolutely lovely and clean. But what made the stay perfect was without a doubt the wonderful staff. Have never come across such nice, friendly and wonderful hotel staff. we encountered a personal problem at the beginning of our stay, and although this had nothing to do with the hotel, the staff tried to do their very best to help us. Although there was absolutely nothing they needed to do. I feel super safe, and respected by these employees. All in all, I certainly felt taken care of. Always greeted with a smile and I will definitely be back. Very rarely have I experienced such good customer service and this is something I will forever brag about. Sad to have to check out. The hotel was incredibly clean, nice. Very localized to everything you need, and if there is anything you need, the staff are right there and beyond to help you. I have honestly never experienced such good customer service. Really appreciated. It's the little things that really count! Almost feels like I have become part of the hotel's family. Will 10/10 go back, no doubt. Deserves more than 3 stars. They made our Alicante experience absolutely perfect.

Excellent location to the beach and very friendly staff. I would like to mention the staff member Athilla working at the reception, he was polite, friendly and professional. Easy access to Alicante city centre through Tram service.

In regards to the value of money felt the room was a bit could have had a better decor. The fact that it did not have a standard coffee making facilities was a disappointment, in a superior hotel like this a fridge could have been a standard, but was told we had to pay for it as we did not book a superior room. Wifi could have been better, was very unreliable.

The Air Conditioning was working great. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good. The room was spacious and had a great view and the location of the hotel is perfect. Just a few steps from the beach and with restaurant s and supermarkets nearby as well. Everything was clean and well maintained.

The bedsheets and the towels. The towels need a refreshment and the bedsheets are like a hospital bed. They need to change those as soon as they can. We could hear the people from the room next to us talk even if they weren't loud, that's the only other bit that they could improve upon… noise isolation. Other than that everything was great and we had a great time.

The reception was open when I arrived, they had messaged me to confirm my time of arrival. The check in process was straight forward. The room was larger, and the bed as a double when I was expecting a single, which was fantastic. The bathroom was kept very clean, and the room was in general. Bar staff where pretty friendly and the prices for drink where very reasonable. The beach was a short walk away. Plenty of public transit close by, several busses stopped right outside the hotel.

The air conditioning unit was a little louder then I would have liked. The times the rooms where cleaned seemed to change each day which was a little odd.
