The view from my room was amazing ! My room was very clean and big ! I'm a fan of K-drama and I loved staying in this place because it was starred on 'Crash Landing On You' .

To get to the nearest public transport you have to go through a lot of high stairs and narrow roads since the hotel is on a kind of hill. If you have difficulty walking or you are not very sporty then I would not recommend this hotel. But of course, you can easily get there by taxi.

I loved the traditional style of building and interior - refreshing change from all the modern hotels. We had a fantastic view of the port area. Great location too - short walk to the main road where you can find metro and bus stops. Not far from Busan Station either. My only issue with the room - which was large and well-resourced was the pillows - not that comfortable for me but maybe I’m fussy.

It doesn’t really provide any vegetarian options for any of the food on the menu - which was a little frustrating. Not many places offering vegetarian options nearby either but the front of house staff found and booked us a table at a restaurant a short taxi ride away - it was a really lovely little place that we would never have found on our own.

Great architecture work by an Australian designer in 1979. Huge building is filled with traditional Korean motifs. This is true gem of Korean architecture and really hope this property will continue to be maitaned and inherited to next generations. Corner suites are spacious with great view worth for additional money. Breakfast buffet quality is also satisfactory. Hope it presented more Busan local dishes and ingredients.

Hotel sitting on a hill can be both good and bad. In the middle of summer accessibility on foot can be challenging to/from the downtown - but taxi fare to Nampodong and Busan station is cheap. It reminds me of Hilton Seoul (closed unfrotunately) sitting on Namsan mountain. This iconic historic buidling is visible from everywhere in Jungu district.

The Commodore Hotel was the very top hotel in Busan when it was inaugurated in 1979. Some of that past glory is still apparent, particularly the majestic entrance and the lobby area. The location is also good, with bus stop (nr 43) right next to the hotel, making for an easy trip from the Busan Station. The room was also quite comfortable and the breakfast was very good.

I attempted to have dinner in the hotel bar/restaurant, encouraged by the menu displayed outside. Once seated, however, I was told by a non-English speaking waitress (I used Google translator to communicate) that that menu applied to another restaurant that was now closed. In that case, why was the menu displayed? The available dishes consisted mostly of cheeseburgers, which prompted me to walk out and search a restaurant outside, as I did not travel to Busan in order to eat cheeseburgers. Another issue which I found terribly discomforting was the filthy windows from the outside. Looking out the window from my hotel room was practically impossible due to the layer of dirt outside. The hotel must find a way of cleaning the room windows from the outside.

I left my phone in the taxi on the way to hotel, and staff doing night shift on the 1 Jan has helped me to retrieve it back by calling KakaoT and translating English to Korean with taxi driver. Very grateful for his help!

breakfast is disappointing for 21k Won, as buffet food dishes are cold and not much variety…

Excellent view and friendly staff. Food options at the hotel were very good, and location was excellent. Basic refreshments were restocked daily.

Breakfast was a bit pricey, and beds are fairly hard. That's common at asian hotels though.

Room was great, big, clean and comfortable. Love it. The hotel is so beautiful. Staff are very kind and attentive. View? No - there is no nice view overlooking from my room's window....

Hotel's location is not great. Quite difficult to commute between hotel to places by local bus.

The location was good and the building itself was super interesting.

It is an old building but ok. We asked people from front desk to help us to order something in Korean and they said they couldn’t do it!

it’s location was perfect and the views from our room were stunning

the people outside the lobby area in front smoking- maybe should have a designated area a little farther away from the front door so one didn’t have to walk through clouds of smoke to get inside lol

I really liked the interior of the room, the beds were super comfy and room was spacious and very clean.

I think the bathroom would not mind a fresh up - however it is obviously still totally ok - if not the newest. What i was disapointed of was the fitness room and the swimming pool - it was closed and therefore not existing. So it would be just ok to say that there is no swimming pool. All in all the Commodore is a great hotel.
