Premier Hotel Roodevalley

The reviews say there are potholes and we found nothing 😳. The gravel road is not even 2min drive and no potholes. Maybe they fixed them 😅🤩. Muriel at receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Pride at the Resturant and the chef they are the best. IIWas served breaksfast by Boipeelo who was very nice and went out of her way to make us smile. Everything we asked for she will rush and go fetch. You guys are the best. The food the best. The dam view is amazing 🤩

Our neighbor 😭😭 the lady woke up at 5:30am and switched on her TV! To the loudest I had to go knock at her door to ask her reduce the volume as we were still sleeping 😥😰. My advice is dont book people close to each other especially if it was empty like that. The rooms you can hear next door tv and talks. Ask for privacy if you go here. Otherwise it is a nice lodge

Everything was good Beds were nice No halaal food, but we managed with a few vegetarian options.

-The ACs are not that cool. We booked 3 rooms, 1 room AC worked perfectly, 1 was okay to good, and the 3rd room AC was more like a fan, didn't even cool the room -The activities listed under entertainment/activities are not available on the property. You have to go out. Should not be listed here if they are not available on the property. -Consider having at least a fridge in the room for coldrinks during the hot weather -The lake side is a little stinky 😅 -Restaurant service can be a bit slow

Room: The location, easy access to nature and fresh air. The amount of privacy and space in our room. The ease with extending our stay was done easily and comfortably. Parking area was incredibly close to the rooms and easily accessible.

Room: The shower head was not premier, unfortunately. The streams all pointed in different directions. Breakfast: Ordered from the menu at the restaurant. Unfortunately the fruit and muesli tasted stale - like it had been standing for a very long time. Service: Overall there service was excellent, however, when I requested an iron, it took more than 40 minutes to get it.

The Room was as advertised. The Bathroom was exceptional as well, and I was skeptical as it was not shown on the pictures but turned out to be very modern and fresh. The Breakfast buffets were marvellous. The surprise dinner buffet we had on saturday was more than lovely. The price was also very affordable as hotel food tends to be overpriced with less value for money, this was not the case with the buffet. The views were excepional with the dam offering breathtaking views that one would not believe is situated not so far from the city. All in all, this was a lovely stay and would not mind going back.

TV was small and had very little entertainment. One one night, the sound from the next room was audible in ours, Probably was just too loud due to the rugby fever

The property is located on a very nice plot and it’s so quiet and has that countryside feeling.

Just one or two things that were unfortunately dissatisfying.The room we were in didn’t have a rubbish bin in the kitchen and the towels which were taken for exchange were not returned.Secondly at the pool side where we were reclining the waitress had to wait longer to bring our drinks coz of reasons unknown to us and the replacement waitress was really disappointing as she disappeared without checking up on us since we asked her to give us a moment before giving her our order!☹️

Everything Location,good food,lovely staff. beautiful lake and the place is stunning. From the reviews I read the lake did not stink, read before you book and complain it is not a self catering facility so stop complaining that you can not bring food in it says it on their website. I enjoyed not having to pack foods and let the hotel treat us. Great value for money.

No kids playground only pool and trampoline. Had to go and look for play centres near the hotel that can entertain my busy toddler. Massage was a hit and miss.

Food was great both breakfast and dinner. Good location and dam/river view amazing. Lush and green property clean.

TV not working in our room & having to be moved to another room as tv couldn't be fixed, moved to different side of the hotel was a downgrade from what we had booked and enjoyed 1st night. Pillows weren't comfy for me there, smaller cupboard space/ smaller bathroom. That was rather not a lovely experience we would have extended our stay.

We enjoyed the tranquil location. Staff are friendly, breakfast was satisfying, beds are comfortable and kids enjoyed the pool, trampoline and jumping castle. This is a good place for a quick getaway.

There is no bar fridge in the rooms. Picnics are only available from 11h00, so there is no option for early requests. There is no room service, but staff do respond to requests on the in-house whatsapp number.
