Art Hotel Kristal

The Hotel Kristal is the perfect spot for your holiday in Bohinj. The location is just far enough from the hussle-bussle of the main town and close enough to walk to the lake within minutes. The rooms though on first entry had a strong cigarette odour, they were immaculate and cosy with a lovely balcony and facilities were in top condition. The restaurant staff were exceptional. Fantastic knowledge and service, kind, understanding and they made the whole hotel experience. The chef is unbelievably talented - in your visit it’s a must to try their 3 course set menu. You will not be disappointed. We did not get to try the SPA, but found it difficult to find out availability and what was on offer. However, the lady in check-in would call the therapist for you to find out what he can do. Overall, great value for money and a lovely hotel. Would recommend :)

It is a really nice small and cozy hotel made in wooden alpine style which give you very warm feeling. Hotel is placed near main road to Bohinj but it somehow hidden and is really quiet which we really liked. Room was really nice and clean. Dinner meals were mosty excellent and really tasty. Deserts were even better as they have their own "chocolaterie". The staff is also very kind and professional. Lake Bohinj is 10 minute walk away.

I don't have any major complaint. Maybe the breakfast was somehow averege for us altough you have various food to choose.

An exceptional hotel in the perfect location for a winter or summer visit to an absolutely beautiful area of the fantastic country. Staff are very friendly and helpful, service is excellent and the food either for breakfast or evening meal is delicious. Located perfectly , with a ten minute walk to the local shops and the fabulous lake Bohinj and a ten minute drive to the wonderful Vogel ski resort.

There isn’t anything we didn’t like. Service, food and location are perfect and the staff are brilliant. There is nothing to change in our opinion just keep doing what you are doing.

Very cosy hotel with quite friendly and helpful staff. Nicely situated close to Bohinj lake with ample free parking space. The family suite (booked via booking.com) is huge and consists of 5 places, of which 2 spatious bedrooms and a huge living room with cosy sofas and TV corner... Breakfast buffet with quite ample choice and opportunities tot make your own waffles. A hotel with a heart and character, bronging you immediately into a holiday mood, also thanks to it's comfort and many facilities... Conclusion: the ideal place to Shah of you want to visit Bohinj lake and other parts of Triglav national park!

I think this hotel may be the best Bohinj and Bled region has to offer. It is clean, staff is good, and it is 5 minutes to Bled lake by foot. Breakfast is ordered with the waiter, and eggs are really tasty. Espresso isn't bad either. I liked bar and restaurant area. Rooms are cleaned daily. Parking is large and free. Beautiful paintings throughout the hotel. There is a lift as well.

Hotel is situated near the road which I assume can be very busy in the season, hence there could be noise issues.

Lovely hotel, decent service and good food. The hotel atmosphere was great, the room was comfortable and the dinning room quite cosy. Above all, it is the hotel owner’s imagination and creativity which shines through and makes the place unique. I loved the idea of an Artists’ colony which is organised at the hotel on annual basis, whereby each artist leaves a painting of their choice behind. This gives you the special feeling of being part of the story and one can just about touch the energy created at this place. The owner Alenka was a great host, made me feel at home and this holiday really special.

There were some initial admin complications mainly due to miscommunications with the Booking.com agent, however we managed to resolve this later on at the hotel.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Easy to access the nearby attractions by car, like Bled, Lake Bohinj, Ski Center Vogel or Kranjska Gora. Parking is easy in the hotels parking lot. The breakfast and the dinner is fine, special thanks to the guy who served us in the hotels restaurant during our stay, we really liked his morale! To summarize, this is a great Hotel which i can advise to everyone, and i am pretty sure we will also come back one day!

The room was very comfortable with a balcony looking onto a small garden onsite. The food at the restaurant was delicious (we had breakfast included with our room and also had dinner there one night). Parking onsite and just a short walk into town.

Very minor - would have preferred that the reception asked for the local tax payment when we checked in, instead of when we were checking out and in more of a rush.

The hotel was really conveniently located from the lake. It's only a short walk. The breakfast was decent with a large selection. The restaurant was fantastic. I really recommend the pork steak. The rooms were cute with nice wooden furniture and the Art around the hotel corridors was an interesting touch.

Our room was just above the kitchen, and as a result, on the first night, I was woken up early by music coming from there. Although after I complained this did not happen again. So I'm really grateful for that. The pillows weren't very comfy.

nice hotel, very simple. very nice owner - we were not pleased with the room & she found a good solution for us. very good Restaurant for dinner ! ~ 35 euro PP for 3 dishes great breakfast - huge verity!

the pictures at booking.com for the room were misleading! a combinations of all rooms options. lucky us the owner was able to switch our room to a better one that meet our expectation that were based on the pictures.
