Savoy Hotel

Big room that actually had one large bed and another smaller one. Clean and comfy.

Parking is a bit tricky as it's underground and the space is very tight.

The location was perfect. I could walk to the park along the river and to the old town. The room was very nice. I liked the minibar, the electric kettle and free green tee. The TV was also nice with many channels in different languages (Romanian, Italian, German, English), etc. The WiFi connection was really good and easy to use. The staff was helpful and friendly.

I think that the electric roll-up shutter was not working because I could not roll it up completely. In any case, my room was facing the interior patio and I didn't miss a great view.

The room is large and very comfortable, very clean and the staff very friendly and nice. We usually arrive at the hotel late in the evening and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Breakfast is well organised.

The latch at the bathroom door was broken down

The room was very large with a small living room accessible through stairs. The bed was really comfortable and the wifi connection fast and reliable. The hotel is close to the city center and to the university.

The shower was rather small and the water temperature was changing quickly from hot to cold. The breakfast is normal and maybe I was expecting something more from a four stars hotel. The hotel is big with a lot of light and I do not understand why the breakfast is served in a small dark room with very small windows.

Comfortable beds and pillows, good breakfast, very good morning coffee, very close to the city center and the water bus station, good advice and maps for sightseeing. We managed to park the car at the hotel - not a lot of space, but it's the city center...

The lobby was renovating (needed), the facade also needs some work, too. Most rooms have view towards some backyards. No mosquito nets at windows. Some shower curtain needed not to fill the bathroom with water.

The location is brilliant, near the Bega shore. 10 minute walk to the city center. The rooms are enormous, clean and have all the necessary facilities. You can find parking spots nearby, even though the hotel doesn't have any.. The staff was polite and fair.

Some more info related to the near-property parking would help, so you know what to expect when you get there. You can park, round the corner, for free during the weekend and for small fees during weekdays. Minibar wasn't cool enough and the bin in the bathroom was defective, however these are all minor things.

Very nice hotel with a somewhat retro style exterior, and a very modern interior, overall creating a great feeling of well-thought space. Unfortunately, parking was fully booked but the receptionist advised us to use street parking which is free over the weekend. The room has a bit outdated furniture, but everything works, all facilities expected for a 4* hotel are present, and our 1-night stay was seamless and comfortable. Breakfast is very nice, with great coffee and a variety of options offered.

I would suggest the staff to pay more attention to the coffee machine as it was either requiring maintenance or empty of liquids, while being in huge demand by the guests. It would a be great to have at least two machines for such hotel, I think. There is no accessible entrance and the stairs are quite steep, but all in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Rooms are spacious and in very good condition. From the street view the hotel doesn't look big at all, however it looks like there is a whole new section which was built later, which is not visible from the street. The hotel has 3 floors and a nice transparent elevator. There is 4th floor with just a few rooms which are accessible via stairs. The hotel has an excellent location. Perfect for a few days stay.

The mattress was too soft, but this is just personal opinion. The breakfast could have more options available. Had to book 2 rooms for 2 adults and 2 children as there were no other options available.

Everything. you just cross the little street and you are in the old town area, and in the starts of the boats, You are in the center of things , a beautiful park, a mooring of tourist boats, restaurants, all in just one minute of walking. the park is near the water, the room was great- not quiet for those who are sensitive to noise though, the noise that comes to the room is monotonique and loud from the boats speakers ( i really dont understand how ppl could even sit there you cant hear a word one says ) .thank the staff -helpful and nice, hello to lovely Luminița and thank you dear waiter Wise man ,that gave us good advice . the restaurant is Top Notch in quality and taste. we loved it.

nothing. all was PERFACT.

We booked a room with balcony. It was with a view on the river and the orthodox cathedral. Across the bridge is the car-free city center with numerous terraces and shops. The park and walking paths along the river are also across the street from the hotel. A minor point could be the traffic on the road in front of the hotel, but in the night that was not a problem. The hotel looks old fashioned from the outside, but in the back there are rooms in a new building and the elevator between them is all glass. There is a free parking under the hotel. The room was pleasant with a good bed, two chairs and a small table, a bureau, and bathroom with a large bath. With the roller blinds you can darken the room well. Breakfast was good and the lady who worked did a good job paying attention to the food and guests. Wifi was very good.

In our room (108) the glass the glass wall by the bath was not on the place where the shower was but on the other side. So I do not understand the funcion of it. When we took a shower all bathroom was wet. But that was the only thing we did not like.
