Grande Hotel da Povoa

Everything about the hotel was really perfect. It was much better than I expected. We had a wonderful room with a view of the beach and the location was terrific. I only wish we had stayed longer and I plan to go back.

There was nothing I didn’t like. Even breakfast was pretty good for a free breakfast.

Just cross the street and you are on the beach! breakfast is not exceptional but is good, and the staff is helpfull and nice. cost/value relation is very good

no place to park, but the parking next to the hotel costs 5€ a day Late night drunk people leaving the casino, one day made lots of noise!

Great location, in front of the beach, which provides you during your stay a great view. The breakfast was included and it was very delicious, the staff is EXTREMELY friendly.

The Air Conditioning was not working properly, but the staff provided a ventilator which helped a bit to battle the warm weather.

Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location and decent value overall. Good chinese restourant just at the hotel. Great breakfast!

Parking is not cheap and hard to find if you are first time visitor.

hurt my foot a few times on the small floor mounted door stops, one in the shower room and in the entrance way. not easily seen and injured my toes. air con noisy and not working. thankfully the room wasn’t too hot.

The room was big with a king size bed. Very clean. Loved the decoration. Bathroom was clean very practical shower cabin. The balcony facing the sea was amazing the views of the beach stunning. Loved the breakfast with lots of choices. Very good for the price. Definitely will book again.

The location was great and the room was comfortable and clean

There was a electricity power cut during our stay and the hotel was very slow to restore energy to the rooms even though the cause of the power cut outside the building appeared momentary and rapidly cleared up. We were in the dark in our room for over an hour.

Nice majestic old hotel - feels like another world. Lovely rooms. Staff facilitated us storing our bikes overnight as were cycling along the camino. Lots of nice restaurants nearby in the lovely resort.

Location right on the coastal route was wonderful. Upscale accommodations. Balcony was wonderful as well as the bathrobe for lounging. Breakfast was exceptional. Very clean, comfortable, safe, private.

Bar/restaurant was closed for a private event.

Awesome room, best in the hotel, and not expensive compared to some of the other places we stayed on our trip. We had a great view over the whole beachfront. Fantastic bed, very comfortable.
