Hotel Aeroporto

The bed was very comfortable and fresh and the room airy. My prime reason for booking the place was an early night and a good night's sleep before a morning flight. the room was perfect for this and check-in was very easy. close and walkable to the airport

No plug in the sink. So when I had a shave I had to keep the tap running - a waste of water. The narrow entranceway to the car park and reception area. No facilities for an evening meal, so had to head out - in the end, this worked out fine with a couple of places nearby, but not always what you want.

The clean, Portuguese style of the hotel was a pleasant break from the mass-produced modern US-style hotels. With polished wood and thick, genuine marble surfaces, it gave an air of timelessness--yet matched with modern security features. Breakfasts are available with a good range of options. Having a bath, rather than just a shower, was something I wish other hotels would emulate. Lighting was comfortable, glass doors to a balcony with a full-width shutter made the room feel larger and bright in daytime. The bed had warm covers, with additional blankets provided, if required. Being only a short walk from the airport was very convenient

The 2 wall sockets were located too far from either the desk or bedside tables, making them difficult to use for charging. A simple extension cable from the outlet to the desk would solve this problem but a few sockets over the desk with a USB charging socket built in would be the ideal. The TV provided was large and bright but the remote control was almost unusable. The mattress was typically Portuguese--rather hard, but not uncomfortable. A rubbish bin would be a worthwhile addition under the desk.

The hotel is well maintained and managed. This impression we get with the first step into the lobby. Although it is a standard house - not high end - the founder put importance on every single detail and did not save cost for materials etc. The room was very spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. Super close and convenient to the airport but quiet. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast looked very rich and tasty but although it is served already from 5 a.m. we did not have the time to enjoy it because we had an early flight. Great value for money.

It is hard to find something. Actually it was perfect for our needs.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Perfect location for the airport which was a short walk away. Good, reasonably priced cafe nearby. Basic amenities but ideal for an overnight stay. Our room was air conditioned and reasonably priced. It had a fridge with cold drinks which could be purchased . No sound from the airport.

The room we stayed in was on the ground floor near the walkway to the road. The noise of people pulling wheeled suitcases along the pathway outside our window was quite loud. No coffee making facilities in the room.

Very beautiful, clean and spacius bathroom with a proper bathtub. Really impressive! There was a complimentary water in the fridge - a nice surprise, as for the Portuguese hotels which dont like to spoil their guests with generosity ;) Polite staff and helpful. The location was perfect given the proximity to the aiport, bus and train stations. Wonderful local restaurants nearby.

Lack of shampoo in the hotel bathroom (unbelievable in other countries such as Japan where we live) and no possibility to buy it at the hotel. The linen was not comfortable and was falling off (just a bedshit on a blanket or so).

We chose this hotel due to walking proximity to the airport (the distance is 7-10 minutes walking to the terminal). Also what was good is 24h reception and quick check in-check out process. The room is big enough and comfortable. What I like is cleanliness and a quite comfortable bed. Also as a big pro - availability of the early breakfast. It starts from 5 a.m. and lasts until 10 a.m. which is quite practical for early travelers.

A bit loud due to the road close to the hotel. The toilet was not secured to the floor and was wobbly, so we had to be very careful when using it.

Very much a European Hotel, that is to say, the guest is to be regarded and respected, the staff is well-trained, professionals interested in the care of their guests.

The facilities are older yet worn with age rather than by neglect. If you're expecting a modern/contemporary hotel go elsewhere. If you want a comfortable, old-world stay where the staff are attentive and capable you should stay at Hotel Aeroporte. The only flaw, for me, was that WiFi was only available in the common areas but not in my room.

The hotel is in a proximity of an airport and very convenient if one needs an accommodation between the flights. Breakfast is good and served from 5 am, which is perfect if you need to leave early. The room is fine, big enough and equipped with all the necessary things.

I guess it is not the case with all the rooms, but mine was literally just next to a road and cars kept passing all the night. Even with earplugs and closed windows it was still noisy and I barely slept.

The room looks brand new and beside being few meters away from the airport there’s absolutely no noise that can disturb you

it’s a very minor complain, but the room is separated from the main building. So if you need to reach the reception or the dining area; you need to walk out. It is few meters away, it takes second to arrive, but it could be a problem if the weather is unpleasant or for those that might have mobility problems.

The position is perfect for overnight stay when you have eraly flight, definitely. It's several minutes on walk. I guess, you should book your stay there quite early because the hotel is popular thanks to its position... The good and busy restaurant O Banquinho with fair prices is very near.

Some wall socket could be near the bed, not on the oposite side of the room. But it's nothing horrible.
