amazing location and since the extension was added, the facilities have been enhanced significantly

I’d suggest the peacocks should be moved away from the hotel at night as they interrupt guests sleep. despite having completed the on line check in, the check in process was far too long taking 30mins after a long hit motorcycle ride ! the reception staff were quite ‘snooty and superior’ and need to be a little more ‘human and considerate’

location is absolutely beautiful. Building, rooms and facilities are very nice as well. Pool is a bit small, but I do not consider that of major importance. Service is very good. Overall, super friendly staff.

Price/quality ratio was the only thing I found disappointing. We had lunch at the pool one day and it was overpriced for what you get. Also, we had a dinner that was part of a wine experience. The wine experience was very nice and a lot of fun, but the quality of the food was not special. Not bad, but you expect more.

We were staying in 2 of the unique barrels in the grounds of the hotel, as a surprise treat for my Mother’s 80th Birthday! Property east to find, all the staff extremely attentive, polite & nothing was too much trouble! Two fabulous restaurants, á La Carte for dinner and the breakfast was out of this world! Gorgeous grounds, pool area and ambience on the whole site! There was even a wedding going to take place on the day we left!!

Nothing, just perfect!

The grounds are really beautiful. Lots of vineyards to walk through. We did the "harvest experience" and got to harvest grapes, sample wines and port, stomp grapes etc. That was well worth the money and we are so glad we did it. The room was very nice, clean and modern. Breakfast was an extensive buffet with fruit, cheeses, bread and pastries, oj etc. Really nice and great staff at breakfast and reception.

Unfortunately, our room was in the "classic" area. It had smallish windows which were too high for a view and they were really dirty. Just outside our window, they were operating a small forklift which made a continuous beeping noise that was super annoying. Also there was no kettle in the room for making coffee or tea, but they did bring us a small pot of hot water when we asked.

The experience was excellent. The winery is gorgeous and the tasting enjoyable. The grounds are beautiful. Staff is attentive and the restaurant very good and affords the perfect view.

We stayed in the older wing of the hotel (room 11), and I definitely felt the room needed an update. The carpet had stains, the walls needed to be repainted, the windows were dirty, and the drapery was also old-fashioned. For the price we paid for the one night stay, and based upon the high level of presentation by the rest of the hotel, the room we stayed in just did not align and was a disappointment. We also had some construction beginning about 10:30 am that was a constant pounding making it a relief when we checked-out.

The view from our barril to the wineries was simply amazing. The pool area was so beautiful that it was as if it came out of a movie. The staff was simply amazing and very welcoming.

Even though it is a winery hotel it allows small children. The pool area which could be very relaxing, peaceful and perfect to calm down from the city life becomes loud, agitated, messy and simply not pleasant with children playing around, throwing balls, screaming and doing “water bombs” into the pool, splashing water to the guests who are laying around, reading, having a drink or simply trying to relax and have a conversation. Unfortunately none of staff intervened, even though it was visible that most of the guests (mainly couples) were annoyed with all the disturbance.

What a great concept, staying in a wine barrel room in one of the great Portuguese vineyards. Nobody seems to know how good Portuguese wines are. Everything was well done, the barrel was beautiful and comfortable. Wine tour and tasting is not to be missed to see the open, ancient maceration and crushing tanks. Tasting is all top end wines as well. This is a great winery operating with over 60% of its wines still crushed by 8 guys in big, open, stone maceration vessels. Food great, staff great, wine and port superb.

I visited with my wife in February which is an off season for tourist, additionally the weather is windy and cold The property is beautifully located in the nature with birds chirping in the morning, and town church bell ringing… It is truly a fairytale experience. Couples should experience the Suite Room only !!! Worth the experience The staff here are super cooperative and wines definite to try at Quinta Da Pacheca… Look forward to visit again some time soon All in all, I’m glad to make a good choice of staying 02 nights at this hotel

The restaurant must have some more vegetarian options except for pasta and couscous

This is an exceptional 4 star hotel, with service aligned more with an experience you would expect to receive at a 5 star hotel. Facilities and property even better in real life compared to photographs - I was pleasantly surprised on arrival. Complimentary wine tasting was provided in the impressive new cellar space. Wines on property were fantastic, as was the restaurant. The pool area is beautiful, although closed while we were there as you would expect in the middle of winter, but one could imagine wiling away some relaxing hours there.

The bar, while a beautiful space with high ceilings, was very cold when we had lunch there.

We stayed two nights in a wine barrel room. It was amazing! More spacious and comfortable than expected. The breakfast was delivered to the room daily and was huge with lots of choices. We had our own private patio to enjoy breakfast amongst the vines. Very romantic! Our third night was in the original 18th century building that has been renovated and was very beautiful. The wine tasting experience was wonderful, touring the facility and wine making process followed by a sit-down wine tasting with cheese, etc. The wines are very good as well. We also enjoyed the restaurant which served a top notch gourmet dinner with amazing service. The pool was also very lovely and they had a bar for pool side cocktails. We also had massages in the Spa which were also one of the best we have had. The staff went out of their way to make our experience special. The entire hotel and grounds are absolutely gorgeous and the location is centrally located to many Quintas/wineries as well as many restaurants. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend Quinta da Pacheca to others.

I can not think of a single thing we did not like.
