The staff in this hotel were exceptional in particular Matthew who was on the day shift for our stay. Nothing was too much for him and he was always so helpful with a smile on his face, he must be exhausted when he goes home. 😄 The bar staff, dining room and the other reception staff were just as polite and helpful too. They are the making of this hotel.

We had one tiny problem with an otherwise lovely room in that the bathroom (standard twin, 1st floor) smelled a little and if we left the bathroom door open it came into the bedroom. It smelled like pipes but it wasn't overpowering but a little off putting. Tip: an extra few shelves in the bathroom for toiletries, this is a recurring problem in a lot of hotels. The sushi bar staff let the hotel down in our experience in that they did not take our orders even though we waited and pressed the bell supplied 3 times. This impression we got is that they weren't really bothered about the customer unless they were sat downstairs at the sushi bar. We went there twice and it was the same each time. Shame.

Staff so friendly and helpful, room a good size and bed really comfortable plus large, there was two bars two restaurants a pool, plus plenty to do in the surrounding area, the balcony was also nice to use in the afternoon when the sun was round on the marina the windows and door were amazing for keeping the sound from the town out.

The floors are tiled which is good but make sure you have something warm for you feet, I was ok, also earplugs if you have amazing hearing like me, the first night I was woken by the sound of scraping furniture on the floors, I could also hear the music slightly in the room from the music playing in the 5th floor restaurant,

Central. Comfortable. Staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. Breakfasts were outstanding and music was delightful.

One very small lift, the other one was broken throughout the whole of our stay. Wardrobe was very high. Unable to hang any clothes all week. Shower head was very high and water ran down wall so was very inconvenient to use. On two or three days dirty cups and glasses were not removed or replaced. They changed the restaurant midweek and the new arrangement and menu was not nearly as good. English translation of menu was virtually illegible. Very casual atmosphere. Plates of food carried across main reception area. Menu was of poorer quality.

The room was clean and comfortable, and looked like it had recently been mainly redecorated. We moved rooms and we accidentally left a small bag of souvenirs but they returned it to us which was really nice. The staff were really helpful throughout. Breakfast has a huge selection and a great view. Pool area is nice but was a bit busy the day we went up. I’d agree with the comments about paying a little more for a view of the Marina - you can see the beautiful old town just behind it.

Unfortunately the bathroom fan in our first room didn’t work and there was some mould on the sealant, but they moved us without question. I think it was a little pricey; even in our new room the furniture looked a bit tired.

Since we last stayed at Hotel Eva in 2009 it has transformed itself into Eva Senses. The change hasn't done much other than a general spruce up and redecorate. The rooms are immaculately presented if a little on the small side - but that's how they were built. The rooftop swimming pool is still as good as it ever was. The buffet breakfast (complete with live piano accompaniment) is still great and the location, next to the marina, is just right. Not cheap, but very high quality.

Faro is a livelier place than it was on our previous visit and the area can be quite noisy late into the night. The double glazing and quiet aircon mean that sleep isn't a problem but sitting out on the balcony can be a less than tranquil experience.

The hotel was lovely and it was in an ideal location. It was very close to the Old Town with lots of options for food and drinks. It was also very close to the Ferry to get to the beach. We loved the rooftop area and watching the sunset and planes taking off/landing while having a drink in the cabanas. Breakfast was lovely every morning with a great selection of hot and cold food Bonus: the AC in the room was fantastic

The pool could have been a little cleaner. We found it to be quite dirty inside the pool a few days we visited the pool area I wish there had been a few more umberellas available by the pool. While we found we never had an issue with getting a bed/lounger, only a few have an umbrella and it was very exposed in the sun.

The outstanding breakfast --> food selection, location in the 5th. floor with view on the marina and most importantly the presence of the "Maestro", the musician who plays the piano live during the breakfast time providing a mesmerizing experience that I have never witnessed before. 1. No pool towels available at the pool area, but rather I had to put deposit of 10 euros as a deposit for each towel, then I have to bring the wet used ones to the front desk staff each time I need to replace them with a new one 2. The limited parking space around the hotel

We have stayed in the Eva before and come back because we appreciate the warmth of the welcome, the efficient, courteous service, central location and delicious breakfasts. We book a room on the marina side so that we can enjoy the view. My wife is disabled and she finds it fully accessible; the bathroom has a walk-in shower and the hotel is on the edge of the pedestrian precinct so it is easy for her to get out and about. The hotel transfer service is excellent. We enjoy spending time over breakfast on the top floor with its views over the town and the Ria Formosa.

The breakfast selections were very good. The only thing missing was an egg station where one could request eggs or omelettes cooked to one’s liking. It was great that there was live music at breakfast. The WiFi was very fast. The location was very good - would have been much better with the harbour view rooms I think, especially when each room had a balcony. So thoughtful that they gave us a bottle of wine on the day before we checked out.

Didn’t always get a top up of the coffee, tea and milk supplies or water in the room. Had to request from housekeeping. The bathroom did not have sufficient shelf space.

We arrived early as we were booked for a morning flight out from Gatwick to Faro. Our plan was to initially drop our bags of at the hotel and explore a little (find good food for later on) until we could check in. The hotel staff were so kind upon arrival, and had a room readily available for us the minute we got there. However because that room had a different view from the one I initially booked, we opted to just wait for our allotted room anyways. The hotel was absolutely fine with us doing so, and was even kind enough to let us use their facilities whilst we waited until 3pm. The lady (whose name I unfortunately cannot remember) that greeted us also gave us a map full of amazing places to visit for food, and sight seeing, that we tried out on our 3 day trip.
