Hotel XYZ

Booked the loft family room, expensive but was worth the money due to the room size. Room is very clean and beds were comfy. AC works great. Wifi is okay, but can be faster. Complimentary breakfast was the best part, so yummy! Great location as it's right in the city centre. Japanese restaurant upstairs has great views and serve delicious food.

Rooftop pool view is pretty but the pool itself and the area around it can be cleaner, tiles are coming off the pool, so not pretty. Very shallow as well. No swimming pools towels that are readily available to use. Had to request and wait for it for a while. Don't order the Margarita, doesn't take anything like it.

The Staff welcoming and polite From the guy who checked us in . I forgot his name but memorable face and voice. From the lady who checked us out ( for the procedure of double checking if anything left behind in the room ) also memorable face . I think if you 2 are reading this u know who u are . Thanks for a lovely stay . Up to 3rd October 2023 Also that included breakfast package with the room is value for money . The separate cost for Dinner also was nice at the Ground floor restaurant and at gelato bar . As for Fyzz Gastro pub American and Greek cuisine it's menu value for money and yum yumm I like it's Halo Halo . As for the separate charge for the hotel wellness spa massage centre thank Rochelle for the massage . I was originally concern about the toilet what I was gonna get but when I used it ok the plumbing works . So ok . Also the bidet included Was a bonus exceeded my expectation

The part I didn't like about Room 710 is the air-conditioning remote not functioning properly . I guess The comfort could also been in my control if I insisted to fix . We only attempt to rectify the situation 1 time out of the 4 night .. I couldn't switch the air-conditioning off because of it without removing the key access card for the room which rwhen removed disable power in the room

Breakfast was very good, presentation was amazing, staff was great. The only thing they missed was getting the food to the table hot. There is also a restaurant on the 9th floor with a great view, and they serve until 11pm a great selection at very good prices.

We killed bugs every day in our room. I could see the hall clearly under the door, and maybe the bugs could find their way in easily. The hot water in the bath was only good on the weekend, almost as if they only turned it on when the hotel was more occupied. Lukewarm at best other days of the week. Internet was hard to get a good signal and phone calls on our cells didn't connect well. The "King" bed is 2 single beds pushed together and a King sheet, and comforter. to make it look like one bed, that is until you sleep on the division.

Very well appointed hotel with a great selection of facilities and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooftop pool was a great spot to hangout for a while and soak up the sun. Breakfast was substantial and there was plenty of choice. Great location. Highly recommend XYZ Hotel.

Occasional sewage smell in the toilet and an electric motor making a clunking sound 100 times per minute outside our room on the 6th floor that didn't get fixed. I could have fixed it in 2 mins if I had the tools and authority. Desk staff had no idea.

Multiple restaurants in the building-I barely had to leave the hotel. They were also quick to initiate a resolution- I called the front desk some time past midnight that my aircon was not cold enough then they provided me with a fan for the night (entire place was fully booked) then they moved me into a different room the next day.

Some minor wear and tear inside the bedroom and bathroom is obvious. Some power outlets not working, mirror light not working.

Great location with the best overall facilities in Tacloban. The restaurants are very good; the spa was relaxing.

I’ve stayed many times (5+) at this property: air con performance is great in some rooms and it takes longer to get cool in some other rooms. Although I have never seen a rat in this property, I have heard noises in the ceiling (above room 306) during a previous stay that could only be rats. I reported this to the main office at checkout and did not hear anything on this last visit.

XYZ is so cool! They have an incredible breakfast - three restaurants that are all amazing including a roof top with spectacular view of the bridge. The room is clean, spacious and so comfortable. The location was good in downtown Tacloban - the weather was rainy so I was extra excited to have the hotel with so many options for food, relaxing by the splash pool or sitting in the cafe when I had downtime and wanted to get out of my room. I love this hotel! Its so modern and fun and they really had the guests in mind with the design and the accommodations!

Great location in Tacloban and plenty of eating options. Pool is relaxing on hot days.

Managing large dinner parties @ Fyzz needs some work. We had a party of 8…all but one staying at the hotel. The bills should have been separated by room number for ease of payment, but the waiter had difficulty keeping some of the orders separate. Then there were some items on the bill where the prices were higher than reflected on the menu….drinks mostly if I remember. Something to check. Otherwise a great stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean . Had air conditioning and a nice shower . They have 3 restaurants located inside hotel . All top notch service !! Stephen for breakfast was always on point and offer great service. Very good range of food on-site. Massage services too . Laundry service is available and was very on point also Location near everything. 5 mins walk to mall area . This is a must stay if in this area. I felt very welcome and comfortable during my stay here .

Im going to recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. Loved the food, the facilities and service. The massage is highly recommended. Next time ill stay longer there so i can enjoy more of the spa and massage. Great job front desk and room service. The food in the hotel is excellent.

The waiting time to serve the food is very long. The pool floor is dirty and moldy. This can be improved and management can take look always. Because sanitation in the pool area is important. Specially for kids swimming there. Pool towels should be readily availble in the pool area. And there should be a staff manning the area at all times for safety.
