Ela Beach Hotel

I went there to run the Port Moresby marathon, so the location was perfectly located near the start line. I had a wonderful view of the seaside and it was in a great neighborhood for walking around. Excellent breakfast as well. The staff helped me out with transport to the airport.

Although the neighborhood is great for walking around, it isn't so convenient for practical purposes such as getting some food at the supermarket. The closest supermarket was an hour walk away. They do have their own cafe and restaurants, but sometimes I'd like to have my own snacks and bottled drinks.

I got upgraded to a premium room , food was great, large windows enough for natural light to fill the room, room service attendants were great, cool bathroom setup/design, accessible outdoor lounge.

They wouldn't check me in at 11am and insisted on 2pm - I've been to other hotels and they had no problems checking me in earlier than 2pm. The elevator needs a little love. The amenities card expired around midnight on my last night so the fan and light went out but I opened the windows for ventilation and went back to sleep.

Very good location near the beach if anyone wants to go for a walk/exercise along the beach side. comfortable room and spacious, with sea/beach views.

1x pool under maintenance and the other over crowded especially at holiday season. Would be nice to have a bigger pool.

The location is excellent - near the CBD, and with easy access to Porporena Freeway and the commercial district, but with a lovely outlook across Ela Beach and the sea.

Breakfasts are good, but there could be better value, lighter, options. If I just wanted a pastry and coffee, for example, I had to pay for a full Continental breakfast. A Gym would be a nice option!

When they clean the room, they use an air refresher, if i can call it so, which smells more like a chemical weapon. i couldn't breath and that smell was there even after 4 days...

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Excellent service and meals.

Our original room was was small and noisy, but the manager was extremely helpful in putting us in a great room.

Super friendly staff. Very accommodating. Clean facilities. Comfortable beds. Great views and a fantastic location.

Breakfast menu could do with some sprucing up and bit more variety on the buffet. TV in the room did not work.

The breakfast spread was not diverse but it had a good selection of breads and pastries from the bakery next door. Also, the chefs were kind enough to prepare something else outside of their fixed menu

The curtain in the room (420) we were in was hanging loose to the right side of the sliding door hence we couldn't switch on the main light at night to avoid being seen by people at the carpark area.

The location is great. Quiet place with a beautiful view out the sea/beachfront. Friendly and helpful staff.

Check in at 2pm is a little too late. Water was not so hot. Towels were brought in very late.
