Carrick Lodge Motel

A lovely motel situated in the heart of Cromwell. Very close to supermarkets and restaurants. Our room was lovely- very comfy bed and great bathroom facilities. It was very quiet and the room was very big and had everything you needed. The wifi was excellent and the TV had all the sky channels.

It seemed expensive versus other equivalent properties in other areas of New Zealand.

Tidy, renovated motel equipped with essential amenities, conveniently located within walking distance of all attractions. The manager was enthusiastic about providing recommendations for places to visit.

The bed, while a tad too soft for my preference, didn't detract from an otherwise perfect experience at this property.

We decided to stay in this hotel due to its positive reviews regarding cleanliness. This hotel was above all the reviews - it was spotless. There were no dust bunnies under the beds, no random hairs stuck in the towels provided, no smelly bathrooms with water marks, no marks of previous cooking in the kitchenette. As some additional bonus: electric blankets, very friendly manager, ideal location, fresh milk instead of 15ml portion milk packets. Highly recommended.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, table space for remote working, off street parking, self-contained facilities, excellent heating, and great wi-fi for remote working. The staff went above and beyond as I checked in very late and checked out very early - they had even put the heating on for me before I arrived so that it was nice and toasty!

Helpful and central to main tourist places. Lovely clean room. Having a handy laundry/ Clothes line with pegs/ wifi/ TV sky channels / air conditioner - just the little extras made all the difference.

Nothing- it was great however we loved the idea of having a Spa bath in our room ( we don’t even have a bath at home) so was a little disappointed that the Spa bath in bathroom did not work ie: the jets wouldn’t work.

Carrick Lodge Motel would be one of the nicer motels we have stayed in. The room was very nice with all you need,extremely clean, great parking and just across the road from restaurants and shops. I would recommend staying here ..We definitely found it a nice relaxing place. Great customer service here as well.

The service was amazing, heaters on when we arrived so a warm room, help sorting out laundry, they were out to make sure we felt welcome and that they generously looked after us during our stay. Awesome showers, a comfortable room and well thought out kitchen, good parking, and really clean and tidy.

Perfect room to land in after riding a motorcycle for the day. The room was warm, clean and close to the venue of our Rally. I couldn’t have got a more perfect place to stay. The owners were lovely. We will stay again for sure.

Bob was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location was great with only a short walk from cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. The room was warm and had everything we needed. I would absolutely recommend Carrick Lodge to anyone wanting to stay in Cromwell.

Property was super clean and tidy. Kitchen and bathroom full of essentials required for our stay. Excellent local knowledge given to us for the surrounding area. All up great place to stay.

Hard to find some cons for this accommodation apart from not having enough time to stay longer.
