Central Park Motor Lodge

Service on arrival was very friendly. The place was easy to get to. Very modern tiled bathroom. Bed was comfy.

Upon opening the door to the room, I walked right into the couch which was covered/hidden by the curtain. Perhaps the couch should have been on the opposite side of the room and the tv positioned where the couch is so it isn't sticking out into the doorway so much. Toilet paper was not the greatest either. Why can all hotels have normal toilet paper we use at home.

The Bed was comfy, the room had a fairly large TV and the shower was very nice. It also had a nice (but small) table for me to work on while i was there

Occasionally there was a strong smell coming from the shower drain, however simply turning on the ventilation soon got rid of it

Our apartment was nice, clean and spacious. New and comfy bathroom. All motel was quiete. Good service. Garry was lovely and helpful. Perfect location, close to city centre, beautiful park just next to, plenty of restaurants around

The kitchen is not very well equipped. There was just one 1 litre pot - impossible to cook for more people. The bin was broken, we couldn't close it. Beds might be more comfortable.

As a touring cyclist I liked my 3 nights stay here. It is about 50 mtrs to Hagley park which is quite remarkable in the centre of a city. Bicycle and walking paths wind their way through. Well I enjoyed it. Shops and resteraunts nearby. I thought the room was spacious. Good kitchen area. Plenty of room in the bathroom.

It is a busy part of the city. Lots of traffic on the road in front of the motel. But what can I expect, it is in the centre of a city.

Garry has the best hospitality you could ask for when staying away from home. He goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable from the moment you check in accommodating to any and every need you have. he is very friendly and amazing with children. he greeted my two year old son every time he seen him with a huge smile and genuine conversation and also a lollipop 😅 The rooms are very spacious and warm for the price you pay compared to other stays I’ve done. overall the owner and property is a great stay and well worth every cent and second ☺️

everything was great

I needed accommodation on a direct route to SX hospital and close to a surgeons follow up rooms the next morning. I have mobility issues and use crutches so needed a ground floor and this motel fitted the bill. They kindly put me into the disability unit they have and that was an extra plus, one I didn't know one was available and two it made my stay much more enjoyable.

Would have liked some written instructions as to how to use the television but as I had eye surgery I doubt that I would have seen much. It came up with Netflix but I was worried that would be an extra cost and I was on a tight budget. I basically wanted to see the usual TV1 etc.

Owner was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, on Riccarton Road and close to Hagley Park. Great dairy/superette right next door that sold a good range of food options for travellers. Great to have electric blankets and good heater in unit as it got quite cold at night. My unit had a fairly new bathroom.

My unit was a studio so the facilities were fairly basic and not heaps of space. Nowhere to hang towels in bathroom for instance. Upstairs units are awkward to get large cases up to.

The convenience of being so close to the city without being in the city! Also loved that even though where were two dogs staying in two rooms beside us, we never heard them at all!

Cooking setup was a slight issue for us but not major :)

Room was well laid out well with plenty of room. Clean and tidy. Bathroom was nice and modern, shower was good. Bed was comfortable. Staff were nice and helpful. Kitchenette was definitely a handy thing, as well as wifi access and tv in the room. Location was great, within walking distance to a main mall, park, town, plenty of food establishments and public transport stops. Was a really affordable stay for the location.

Clean Hotel, Some of the Windows need fixing but nothing worth complaining about. The room was comfy and unexpectedly warm. Good water pressure. The staff was really friendly. Compared to the Hotel we stayed. I would prefer this motor lodge.

The toilet window need fixing the lock came off.
