Van der Valk Hotel Hilversum/ De Witte Bergen

This was mine and my husband's 5th time staying at the De Witte Bergen and was not disappointed! The toiletries that were offered are nice and wonderful fragrance. And it was nice to have a bar of soap instead liquid gel soap on the wall. The restaurant service, cost and selection was excellent, along with the daily breakfast. The location is wonderful and we always travel to Laren which is 6 miles up the road to enjoy the local fair and seasonal indulging of the Poffertjes. The new Casino is definitely a draw for additional entertainment once the onsite restaurant closes at 9:30 pm.

the construction going on during our stay. The website did not make it obviously known that there would be a YUGE renovation during our stay and early morning noise of drilling, hammering, etc.. the lighting in the bathroom above the sink could be better. The blow dryer is not at all what I'm used to and it made my hair extremely frizzy and poofy like a French poodle. I would offer a standard type hair dryer as well. I would also include magnify makeup mirror and facial tissue, that are typically available in most 4 to 5 star hotels these days. I would lengthen the hours of the restaurant serving till at least 10:30 pm as well

extremely friendly, attentive and helpful STAFF, even towards customers who come with several dogs. The hotel and the surroundings are perfect for checking in with dog(s) (I travel with 3). The BREAKFAST was absolutely great: extremely diverse, from multiple types of baked goods to muesli and granola, all kinds of eggs, multiple types of cheese and meat, fruit + yoghurt, fruit juices and x-possible types of coffee. Much was freshly prepared in front of the guests and the breakfast lounge was absolutely comfortable. Curious: the little robots that bring the food to the tables in the restaurant :)

the cleanliness in the "hidden corners" (behind curtains, etc.) in the rooms. I am extremely afraid of spiders, but had to remove several spiders and their cobwebs before I could go to sleep without fear.

Superb breakfast, comfy bed. Despite being next to two motorways it is remarkedly quiet and we could open the window in our room. As we were travelling by bike we appreciated the good facilities for bikes. The restaurant and breakfast room are both spacious, which make is relaxing.

The air-conditioning in the bedroom was noisy but we did not need it.

Breakfast was great!! The room had a good size but did not look like the pictures of that room category (pictures were more modern / spacious). The town is lovely and has everything you can want and a relaxing atmosphere.

The room we had seemed a bit old / outdated - it could be modernised - especially compared to the lobby and restaurant. Also the air conditioning in the room did not really work so the room was pretty warm even during the night. Beds were twin beds connected to make a double bed (which is not a great bed for a couple as it separates).

The place was awesome, the staff was extremely friendly and professional, the hotel was really clean and everything was awesome. The amenities were great and all in all it was a great stay.

Everything was awesome and I could not find anything wrong or something that I don't like.

Perfect location to park up and get train to Amsterdam. Good sized rooms and fantastic breakfast

While the mattresses (twin pushed together as double) were comfortable trying to keep them on the bed was problematic also no real control over AC

Everything was perfectly in order. I was there to attend a funeral, so I did not spend much time at the hotel, so I dont really have too much to say. It was perfect for the purpose of my trip. Staff were lovely and I thank you all.

The service was great from the begining, they accomendate us even when we went to the wrong hotel, service was great in both hotels. Will defo visit again

Location but it needed that location for the beautiful scenery so cant be mad at the location. It made the hotel feel private

Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, bathroom spacious. Food was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Only 30 minutes drive to Amsterdam and close to Hilversum and Utrecht.

The TV did not work.

Large room, clean, with tea/coffee. Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

If you do not have a car, getting to the hotel is pricy, as you have to take taxi (public transport is not an option). Price of the room was on a higher side.
