Hotel Villa Trompenberg

A real little gem with lovely rooms and shared space area - you can see an interior decorateur was at work here, with great taste and lots of love. Everything in really good shape, comfy beds and nice bathroom. Lovely staff and really nice breakfast room, also to read a book. Nice lounge music. Good choices in the "mini bar"

It was quite a walk to the station. But you can take an Uber (though one time there was no Uber available) for about 12€ or the Bus. One time it was raining so hard that one of the really nice employees drove us to the station, that was so lovely of him. Our room was on the second floor - the stairs (everywhere in the Netherlands, it seems) were really narrow and small, especially when coming down. Ok for us, but nothing for elderly people or a disability.

Hotel Villa Trompenberg is truly a boutique hotel. It is wonderful in all respects. The rooms are spacious, clean, nicely decorated, the beds are super comfortable, bathrooms are impeccably clean. Breakfast are fantastic and pretty much custom prepared each day. Car parking is free, easy and right outside the front door, what more can you ask for? The honor system for bike rental use, extra coffee, snacks and drinks is a wonderful way of providing guests with pretty much everything and anything the could possible desire.

There was nothing we did not like, we have no tips or suggestions for improvement.

The hotel is beautifully sited in a lovely garden, with very nice public areas inside and out in garden. The staff, especially Nadine, and last day, Rihanna were attentive and so helpful with every aspect of our stay. We loved being close to Amsterdam but not staying in that hectic, hot city, swarming w tourists!

The stairs are very steep but carpeted for safely.

The location was outstanding. Trompenberg is an old but beautiful and comfortable hotel and room number 3 is out of this world! Hilversum city itself is just awesome. I loved the woods surrounding Hilversum. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Because this hotel is old, you can hear other guests walk in their room above you. I assume this will be only in room 3 because that’s the only room available on the ground floor.

We stayed in the superior suite and it is fantastic. Particularly the conservatory and garden which are attached to the room are very pleasant hangouts, especially in summer, when we were there, but I guess it can be just as wonderful year round.

There is nothing that is not to like about this place.

Unique, very interesting decor,rooms tastefully decorated, beds comfortable. Excellent heating system, allowing the visitor to regulate, very clean.

The hotel is very self service and although you have freedom to come and go, to help yourself to drinks and food, ( honesty box system) it fell short if you wanted any service, with no tea making facilities in the room, €1.50 for one cup of tea, you make yourself and carry up two flights of stairs, I thought lost the hotel a star

Wonderful self-service concept. Was a little skeptical at first but once there, we loved it. Breakfast was wonderful, decor beautiful, the few staff we met very nice and helpful. The room and bathroom were very nice. We also loved the Trust bar.

it’s a self service hotel and I personally prefer a more personal touch, but it can’t be considered as a negative aspect if you don’t care about this. My room was are a bit darkly decorated

Lovely stay. Breakfast was delightful. Nice selection at the honesty bar. Room was gorgeous with a view of the gardens.

No elevator. Be mindful you will have to carry your luggage up/down stairs.
