Strong smell in lobby, raccoons in hallways at night. Outside of building was worn/dirty. The jungle view below our room looked unkept, with some trash.

Breakfast was excellent loved the wide variety of fruits The staff went above and beyond, loved the staff The staff was best part of stay Spice, Tamarind and Capers food was Excellent salmon to die for

The drinks were all weak, next to no alcohol at all in the drinks The Sodas were always flat My room had broken pipe, staff was there promptly to repair

We loved the beautiful resort surroundings, the pools/swimup bars, wide variety of dining options and gorgeous landscaping. Grounds and beach were very well maintained (despite the excessive seaweed on the beach). Our ocean view suites in the preferred club were very luxurious and comfortable, and the warm hospitality of the staff was absolutely incredible.

The seaweed on the beach and the difficulty getting chairs poolside because many people left items on the lounge chairs by the pools to reserve them early in the morning and then left to attend other activities which seemed inconsiderate of other guests. Also the small portion size in the all inclusive restaurants was a bit disappointing.

The property is modern, clean and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable. Overall the quality of the food is good, with a couple of exceptions. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

The buffet is closed in the evening. You can eat dinner only at one of the four restaurants. starting from 7 pm there is usually a waiting list to get a table, sometimes with a waiting time of up to one hour. The hotel would not give me a straightforward reply to my request for a baby crib. Even the day before our arrival, the hotel wrote that they could not guarantee a crib, that it depended on availability.

The usual weak WiFi problem, even the Netflix/ Youtube channels are useless because of that The dinner time peaks take a lot of extra waiting, one or two restaurants are always closed, but if you get used to it, you can work out the solution easily 😉 👍

The entire resort is outstanding, staff is excellent!! Rooms were very spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. Selection of dining experiences is 5 star, something for everyone and chef prepared!! Pools were all clean and beautiful!! Wait staff kept the drinks coming all day!!! Beach areas were meticulously cleaned at sunrise every day and well maintained throughout the day. Live bands in the evenings were a bonus!! Paradise!!!

The evening theater shows were not the best.

I don’t think ever think I’ve been treated better. The service was awesome. They have a best Team! I would write down so many names but I’d be writing a book at that point. I would recommend this resort any day! Also The room service was great and our room was always clean! Gourmet food!

The only thing is, the rooms are not very sound proof. You can hear everything going on outside in the halls and the rooms. We don’t have kids but we would hear lots of kids being a little loud in the morning.

In light of the COVID pandemic, I was nervous about safety measures at the resort. This resort is BEYOND CLEAN. I am a registered nurse and saw the dedication to ensuring everyone is safe. THEY HAD 100% MASK COMPLIANCE! Not one single time did I observe a member of their staff without a mask covering their face properly! Now for the vacation details- I only travel to adults only AMR resorts so this was our first time at a family resort. The price we paid for our beach front JR suite was definitely worth it. For a similar room at an adults only location would cost double the price! With the preferred club, we had access to the adults only pool-the only location where I didn't encounter children. The restaurants were very nice as we experienced similar dining at the more expensive resorts. We indulged in a couples massage and dinner on the beach as we were there to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary, all compliments of participating in the unlimited vacation club presentation. They are very convincing and charming salespersons, so get ready to be woo'd! I lost my iPhone on our second night and the next morning I went to concierge for assistance. Security was dispatched and gave me my phone after I was able to describe and unlock it. Our beach front room and view were spectacular. We were in 9104 which overlooked the preferred club pool on one side and the ocean to the front, absolutely breathtaking. If you are looking for a budget friendly luxury resort, this is the place!

The worst part of our stay was the view of the sunrise! It looks like a bunch of trash and should be removed! I did not care for the distance I had to walk to get to my room-although I understand that beach front rooms will likely be the farthest from the front of the resort-it got exhausting. The rooms were dated compared to the other AMR resorts we've stayed at, but the price blurs the rough edges, and since it was very clean, no big deal. I will not complain about the seaweed, but it was bad our first day there. I will complain about the loud tractor that started raking the seaweed at 6:30 am EVERY morning. He got the job done because the sand in front of our suite was clear the rest of the trip. I didn't want to wake that early on vacation, but it was the beach front.

The restaurants are excellent, food is amazing, the general vibe is trendy and good for socializing, the night events are fun, the staff is fabulous and kind. It’s a wonderful resort, not too big so you can get everywhere without walking too much, but large enough to not get bored. The spa is also wonderful!

The shower in the rooms has no privacy (no door!) and there’s nowhere to comfortably set your luggage except the bed or on the seating area. The property needs some updates and maintenance, it doesn’t look old but is not new either. The beach area is small and the sea doesn’t have the never ending blues that characterizes the Riviera. There was a lot of sargazo (sea weed) which isn’t the hotel’s fault; they worked VERY hard to clean the beach, non stop. I’m sure in another time of the year, the beach would be beautiful. And the dress code of using trousers in some of the restaurants, is just ridiculous! Who wears long trousers to hot weather?! The Asian restaurant requests reservations and it was the only restaurant that was disappointing.
