What an incredible property! Literally half a block from the restaurant and bar zone of playa del carmen but in a very quiet street where there is no noise whatsoever. The rooms are so nicely decorated, we truly felt we were in a 5 star hotel. The pool area and lounge were bigger than expected with lots of sun or shade. I honestly think this is one the nicest properties we have stayed at, it was truly that nice.

Everything was great

An absolutely beautiful boutique hotel - it is centrally located, close to everything (near Walmart and 5 minutes walk from the bus station). Everything seems to be new in the property. My room was cute and nicely decorated. It was on the 1st floor (room 203) and had a hammock and chairs in the balcony in front of the room. The room was refreshed every day by the cleaner and it had an amazing scent whenever I was coming back to the room. The aircon was working property and was very quiet. When you enter the property the first thing you see is stunning pool and sun decks where you can relax. The hotel has only a handful number of rooms, as such, the place is never crowded and is very peaceful during the day. The hotel also provides vouchers to enter one of the beach clubs - as part of the voucher you are entitled to use their sun decks however there is a minimum consumption required from you. The beach club is located 20 minutes walk from the property (it is a nice walk though).

The place itself is very peaceful, however it is located near the clubs in Playa del Carmen so you will hear music at night. You will be given complementary ear plugs, but if you are a light sleeper you might find the music to be too loud to sleep. Out of the 3 nights when I was there, I found it difficult to sleep the first one (then I kinda got used to it ...or maybe I was just so tired after my travels). The internet is quiet slow. You get your own Netflix in the room but you are not able to see the movies without longer interruptions. It was OK as this was my holiday, but I wouldn't be able to stay there if I needed to work remotely from there - @dear staff - something worth looking into as an improvement.

Aalada is stunning! It is hard to believe this hotel is so close to Quinta Avenida. You feel like you are in the jungle with the beautiful trees and gardens all around. All you can hear are the birds. Our room was beautifully decorated, the bed was comfy and the amenities in the shower smelled so nice. We loved that we could walk to the beach in the morning and have a wide variety of options for breakfast so close by. Aalada was perfect and we can't wait to return.

Good communication via email, WhatsApp and their personal online portal. Easy to find and only 1 street away from all the restaurants, bars and shops. Room was good, nice shower, toilet was a bit cramped but not an issue. It's silent enough during the night, you hear a little bit of music from the clubs but not too much that it wakes you.

The only thing that was not nice was the bed. We are quite tall so we are used that our legs don't fit but this time the width of the bed was terrible. We laid back to back the whole night, no room to turn, sadly to say this was the worst bed we had in our 3 weeks of travel in Mexico. The sunbeds downstairs at the pool are bigger.

The property was beautiful. It looks just like the pictures. The rooms we reserved were lovely, they were very modern and very clean. The hotel was within walking distance of the beach, stores, and restaurants. And the staff was the best, they were extremely attentive and helpful.

We had a rental car and there was only one free parking spot in front of the hotel. Otherwise you had to pay a machine with pesos (coins only, no credit cards), but the staff at the property helped me with this. But once we got the free spot, we didn’t feel like we could drive anywhere or it would be too much hassle to find a place to park again. Also, this wasn’t really a place for families. It was quiet the first night we were there (a Wednesday) but the second night we heard very loud music from one of the venues nearby until nearly two in the morning. Probably lots of fun if you’re in your 20s but not so much if you’re middle aged like me and go to bed early.

Beautiful little oasis in playa del Carmen. Room very clean cozy and beautifully furnished in minimal/modernist Mexican style. The pool area was gorgeous and calming, perfect when coming back from a long day of exploration in the heath. The staff was always helpful and fast responding on the chat. We had trouble with our luggage and they where super efficient in helping us. Also booked taxi for us with very short notice. We loved it and highly recommend it.

Honestly these are just minor points as we really liked it overall: - pillows were very chunky so not as comfortable for your neck - we would have loved to meet our host and see the face of the lovely people we spoke to on the chat. It’s an apartment complex with no reception so you’ll only meet the cleaning staff in the morning and the rest of the guests.

The property and rooms are just beautiful. We loved the vibe, the location, the look, the service. The communication with the hotel was prompt and very helpful. Literally everything is walking distance. From restaurants, delicious and cheap street food, bars, clubs, to shops and boutiques, beach access and shopping malls with major stores like h&m, zara, bershka etc, everything is right there. Even though it’s a street down from 5th avenue, once you step onto the compound it feels like a little oasis of relaxation and tranquility.

Minor issue that didn’t bother us very much was our shower which wouldn’t get hot.

Aalada was centrally located - just a couple of blocks from the beach and shopping, easily walkable to many activities. The hotel was its own little quiet, clean oasis once you enter the gate, from the bustling city center. No lobby-style checkin, made it very easy and convenient to checkin from my phone which saved precious vacation minutes. I have stayed in many hotels all over the world and this was easily the cleanest I’ve ever visited. The hotel and its architecture are beautiful.

The very nearby nightlife can get loud, but Aalada was thoughtful enough to provide eat plugs on top of their decently sound-proof amenities.

The location is the highlight. Walkable to all the places around 5th Avenue, and at the same time quiet even a block away from Coco Bongo nightclub. The staff was responsive and courteous, although we had almost no contact with them as it was a hotel with no reception. The photos are trustworthy to what the room really is. Great value for money!

The water in the washroom was salty. Both shower and the sink. This scared and bothered me a little since I was already swimming all day in the ocean, and all I wanted was to take the salt off by showering in the hotel. Also, the room is somewhat dark.

The Zen Like tranquillity of the place. The spacious room. Everything worked. There were plenty of sun beds either in the shade or the sun you could choose. We loved our personal hammock! The whole space was clean and minimalist yet very comfortable. Our room was supplied with a Fridge a microwave oven and a coffee maker, and 2 plates 2 cups and 2 sets of cutlery. They provided a communal water dispenser that dispensed Hot/ Cold or ambient water which was brilliant! Great TV that provided Netflix as well as other channels. It was easy to get in touch with Melina the Concierge who was very friendly and helpful. Great location barely 2 minutes walk from Coco Bongo and 5th Avenue. Lots of local shops & eateries on the doorstep.

There were no chests of drawers . No map was provided of the local area.
