Hotel Kavia Plus

if you’re looking to be away from the hotel zone, this is the perfect location in the center of Cancun. hotel is modern, clean and the staff is friendly.

standard rooms have windows on the inside of the building, good to know as I didn’t see it mentioned. basic things such as fridge, coffee machine, anywhere to put your clothes, hooks for towels are missing. gym is really just for show as no weights. pool is more of an evening pool as has no shade. bring enough cash to settle your bill upon check in as this is the only place in Cancun where my card was declined by the machine and they won’t let you get in your room unless your bill is settled even tho they have your card print from the booking.

A nice roof top pool Pleasant English speaking receptionists Comfy room with a balcony . Good Air con and shower . Good value for what I paid for 6 nights . Lots of places to eat locally also .

The only draw back was the early morning cleaning in the rooms . You could here them working . But overall no fault at all it was great value .

good location! 2 min walk at parque de las palapas! a lot of local food, no need to go to restaurants! 10 mins walk from the Ado bus! infront of the hotel there is a mini market oxxo which is like the 7 eleven store! I felt safe because there is a guard outside the hotel! I like the pool at the rooftop very relaxing! a lot of restaurants around, you can buy souvenirs from the palapas very good and cheap!

noisy, you will hear people closing their door room! you will hear them talking, the wall are very thin, so if you have a light sleep you will wake up often like I do. Problem of the shower, there is no cover so when you shower all of the water goes around the bathroom! and the thing near the headshower when you can sit down like a chair, it's very unconfortable! I don't thing that is really hygenic to sit there, and it's hard to shower because you cannot move the head of the shower

the hotel restaurants mexican breakfast was delicious the swimming pool lovely an clean an refreshing, the man who cleaned it every morning was very friendly, infact all the staff were nice we had a great stay an would return

Comfortable beds and clean room. Nice rooftop pool with nice view. Walking distance from central market and ADO bus terminal.

Got a message from the hotel saying that I needed to check-in by 6pm otherwise my booking which I had already paid for, wasn’t guaranteed. I messaged them back saying that if I would have known about this policy I would not have booked this hotel and asked for an extension of 7p just in case as I was coming on bus from Merida and never got a response from the hotel.

super clean ! safe area was down the block from a small food area with bars and lots of food options. live music and performances. market outside open all night., theres also night markets. Super friendly staff speak both English and Spanish. Has a nice Sercuity guard and staff on site 24/7. About 10 minute walk from bus transport to airport. Their pool was relaxing and fun to play in. really a great area!

Bargain hotel downtown - but beware, you get what you pay for! What's great: excellent staff, they speak English. Wonderful location, about 10 minutes walk from the ADO bus station, but far enough from the riffraff. Literally a block away from Palapas Park, an excellent area for food and entertainment. Walk to a ton of other places. An absolutely delightful rooftop terrace with great views of Cancun. No, it's not possible to see the gulf from there. But everything else there is to see (which is not much) will be viewable. What sucked: surprisingly enough, there was NO CHAIRS in my room!!! Soundproofing leaves a lot to be desired. The hotel provided what I needed - a weekend stay on a budget. No more, no less. Clean, beds reasonably comfy, has shower with hot water (sometimes needed to let it run for about 5 minutes). Would I come here for a wonderful vacation with a girlfriend? No. Would I stay here again if I needed to spend a night or two in the city? Yes.

Put chairs in rooms!!!!!

Modern, minimalist design, light and airy, excellent AC, clean, inviting, with a beautiful view from breakfast eatery on top floor. Mercado 28 in walking distance (15min max), many restaurants, grocery stores, drugstores, and an amazing fruit stand also walkable. Comfortable beds. No street noise. Nice elevator and stairs. Floor-to-ceiling window in the room with blackout rolling blinds. Window for bathroom above the shower. Outstanding value for the price.

Didn’t warn us that pool was unusable (being re-tiled) in the middle of July (2022). Water pressure super low in shower, and difficult to adjust temperature. No sitting place in room (simple chair next to window would be nice). Tiles (1-inch squares) x 4 missing from shower floor in rm 605. Only 1 hanger in the room for four people. Doors (?and walls) are super thin, you can hear everything from other floors because sound carries up the ventilation spaces between the corridors. The AC’s bright temperature indicator light lights up the entire room at night—really annoying and hard to stay asleep with for some people who don’t require a night light.

Very comfortable bed, nice staff, very clean place (and I’m difficult on cleanliness so when I say it’s clean, it’s for real). Right in the middle of everything, close to amazing restaurants and close to the bus (12 pesos per person) if you want to get in Zona Hotelera to enjoy the magnificent beach (free access to the beach).

We had several stays there, and one time we got a room with plenty of fruitfly. That’s a bummer, but not that much of an inconvenient. Also, don’t necessary expect a balcony, you might only have one with a view of the corridor.

Rooms were nicely fitted. Pleasing blue colour throughout and minimal, lots of plug sockets for USBs and nice lighting. Bed was great, very comfortable. Nice to have mini coffee maker and good coffee. Breakfast was good and the service was excellent from staff. Very near ADO, and although on main road it was quiet. Pool fabulous but see above for comments. I would def return for a night..

I think somewhere to hang things is needed, no closet. Balcony faces 'inland' so you're not paying for anything extra. It would be better to have hammocks in rooms. Pool could do with more sun loungers as soon as 2 or 3 couples arrive they are full, a bit gutting for solo travellers.
