Adhara Express

The hotel is in the downtown, which makes it easy to take yourself anywhere you want to. Rooms are big and spacious, and there's a good variety of breakfast every morning.

There was absolutely no WiFi in the room we had. Fortunately, we got to change a room, but the WiFi there was also almost non-existent. You had to be in a certain spot to connect. Also, the rooms aren't soundproof, so you could hear the noise coming from the pool area as well as people walking through the corridor, especially at night.

The hotel is modern, very clean. The room was very comfortable with the window view on the pool. The stuff was very kind and helpful. They provided us all information related to destination, safety and transport. The breakfast was great, with a lot of options, very tasty. Every evening there was a pool party, guests were having a great time, swimming and drinking coctails. Great value for money. The grand bus station is near by, you can easily get to the beaches and the airport. A few great restaurants were near by, as well as the local market with various authentic products.

The breakfast buffet was very good. The first day the chef spoke English and it was very easy to order an omelette. The fruit bar was excellent with a good variety. Nice remodeled bathroom with a large tiled shower.

The second day the chef didn't speak English and it was difficult to order an omelette. I ended up getting chorizo instead of bacon in my spinach omelette. Someone in the order line translated the word spinach for me. The door and hallway into the room was very narrow. Made it difficult to maneuver luggage into the room. The mattress was very hard.

For us, the outstanding attraction of this property is the proximity to the ADO bus station - even with our luggage it was only a five minute walk. But we also found it spotlessly clean, our room was a good size, there’s a decent sized pool and there’s an on-site restaurant. All in all, better than expected and great for a one night stay. The breakfast buffet is basic but you can get an omelette cooked to order as well as choose from fruit and pastries. Finding a bowl for cereal was a challenge! Ive added some minus points but they’re guidance not deal-breakers. We would certainly stay again.

The listing said that our room had a balcony and coffee machine - it didn’t have either. It also didn’t have bottled water - the first place we’ve found in Mexico that doesn’t provide any. We had a room with two double beds, plenty of space for sharing, but the wash basin is in the room, not the bathroom so you get no privacy.

Adhara Express is an excellent, clean, comfortable and well-maintained hotel near the Cancún bus station, from which we had to travel the following day. The transport from the airport to downtown Cancún was chaotic, so we were glad to check into this comfortable quiet hotel upon arrival. Adhara offers everything that is important to the traveller: fast check-in by amiable, competent staff, a clean and comfortable room, a good-sized bathroom, wifi that works, quiet air conditioning with a comfortable temperature, and a good and abundant breakfast... all for a very reasonable price. In short, Adhara Express meets and even exceeds the excellent hotel quality I am used to in Mexico, which is so much better than the very variable quality in Canada and the USA.

Everything was good.

A very clean hotel with a nice pool. Breakfast was included and we particularly enjoyed the omelets made to order, and delicious orange juice. The staff were efficient and friendly. The bed was comfortable, the room had good soundproofing from the street noise, and excellent air-conditioning.

There was no bath-mat to step onto from the shower. There was just 1 towel ( bath size) per person, i.e - no hand towels, and no face cloths provided. The doors to the rooms closed so loudly ( impossible to do it quietly...we tried) so you are disturbed every time another guest leaves their room .

Good location, near the ADO bus station and 2 minutes walk to the nice Picaña & Grill restaurant (perfect when you arrive from the airport completely tired but starved). Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room with huge confy bed. Nice swimming pool area, with free towels available. Large breakfast buffet : salty, sweet, yaourt, granola,... and live cooking for your omelette !

Only 2 small items : Pressure in shower was a bit too low. And the door of the bedroom has nothing of an acoustic or isolated door (but it seems to be the same everywhere here in Yucatan...) : the 24h/7 light of the corridor is a bit annoying at night...

Great clean rooms, nice balconies, clean cozy sheets & beds. We really enjoyed having breakfast included. A great stay overall and very good location. Many restaurants are just a few steps from the hotel (we really enjoyed 'Smashing Burgers') and heading to the street food market just down from the OXXO.

The hallways echo a lot, so the mornings especially are loud with doors opening and closing. It's non smoking, but our neighbour was definitely a smoker. We heard about the free shuttle to the beach, and inquired at the front desk to see if we needed to sign up or anything. She mentioned just to show up in the lobby the next day at 11am. Great! Next day though we come down just before 11am and were told we needed to register prior and that the shuttle was full. It's a great option that they offer this, and did play a part in us booking this hotel. We don't speak spanish so we figure it was lost in translation and don't fault them, but do make sure you get on the list for the next day before thinking you're going to the beach.

Breakfast was great and delicious, with many options. Hotel staff very kind. Location of the hotel permits to reach many Cancun downtown facilities. Even the ADO terminal is just 5 minute walk from the hotel

Wifi connection is ridiculous and very weak. In the room connection was totally unstable and sometime Wifi was even unreachable. I was forced to go downstairs to the hotel lobby to have a stable connection.

They wanted to accommodate us to another hotel which was much farther away.Because we booked this hotel specially because of its location,we didn t accept their proposal. Maybe because if it the ladies in the reception were quite unpleasant. They gave us room with to separate beds instead of ordered king size bed and more over,bed linen was full of stains on both beds.They changed it after our warning. They didn t manage to refill meal during breakfast time and we permanently had to ask for bread,butter, coffee.. It is not 4star hotel,even for Mexico
