This hotel is lovely - the staff are very helpful and accommodating, there was a nice little breakfast set up, and it's located away from the main center in a cute area with good restaurants and cafes, while still being very close to the center. Because of its location, I got to see more parts of Oaxaca City than I would have if I got a central location and I got to be away from the hoards of tourists. The rooms were clean and decorated with lovely local art and handmade features. I came here as a solo woman and felt safe and well looked after here! Plus having the water coolers was a really nice feature as well to have unlimited water outside your door.

The only issues I had were with the internet, but there were many cafes nearby to work from and the city center also has affordable coworking spots. The staff also worked to get it working again for me, and it's something beyond their control. Additionally, bring earplugs as there are a lot of dogs barking at night - but this is for all of Oaxaca City and beyond and not something specific to the hotel or its location.

Very nicely decorated new hotel which offers fantastic value for the money. The rooms are comfy, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There’s some really good food options for breakfast as well as for dinner within 5 minute walking distance, which was very convenient.

Nothing we didn’t like, only two things to be aware of: Firstly there’s no AC (which wasn’t a problem at all when we were there with temperatures at around 26-28 C every day). Secondly it’s a little walk to the center (15-20 minutes) - but through very nice neighborhoods. Alternatively, the cabs to the center were also only about 60 Pesos.

Location could not be more perfect, it’s just far enough outside the noisy part of the city while still being a short, beautiful walk over cobblestone roads. The staff were also extremely helpful and always available. They helped us with everything from organizing local trips to getting some pedialight for my girlfriend when she got sick. The room and overall facilities were also really clean and nice, including the common area. We worked from the common area for a few days and it was great.

WiFi was inconsistent.

Very nice and helpful staff! They were super accommodating and conscientious about our needs and wishes. There was a mixup with the booking because of an error by booking.com but they didn't make a huge issue out of it. Every morning they served coffee and tea with fruit. Next door is a juice place with more great breakfast options. There was always staff around to do chores around the hotel, guard the entrance and they made sure we had everything we needed. We were there during Dia de Muertos and had a wonderful time. Thank you Santa Cecilia for hosting us and our friends!

Wifi was a bit slow and unreliable during our stay, likely because it was during a busy period. Showers ran out of hot water in the morning, likely also because it was busy.

This place is a gem in Oaxaca. It's close to the city center in a quiet neighborhood that feels very safe. What really made our day was the staff. They were so helpful with all of our questions, gave us recommendations for food and tours, and we're just the friendliest people. I would highly recommend staying here if you plan on visiting Oaxaca!

- I loved the room, its size, design, big windows and a small balcony - The personnel is great, very happy to help with any question I had - The hotel is situated in a very nice and calm neighborhood, with lots of graffitis

- it is a 15-20min walk to the center: personally, it was not a problem for me, as the neighborhood is very nice. But if you have any mobility problems, it may be an issue

Breakfast was good. If you needed it before 8 am the fresh items hadn't yet arrived. Basic breakfast with coffee, fruit and breads.

The temperature of the shower was very difficult to adjust in our room, although our family in another room did not have the same problem. It was either very hot or cold.

Very nice area a bit further from the busy city center, full or art and restaurant options. The staff is extremely friendly and booked us an amazing tour to Hierve el Agua.

The water pressure in the shower is very weak and regulating the temperature is quite hard.

Incredibly kind, attentive and helpful staff, great location - easy walk to city center, all shops/services needed just a few steps away. Great place + great people, I'll come back as soon as I can.
