El Santuario Resort & Spa

The place is a very relaxing place however for some reason dinner is served with very upbeat music which is not at all consistent with the theme of the hotel. We felt like we were after hours at some club. We asked the manager to please change the music and play something more ad hoc three times and we were totally ignored. Also privacy, we took some yoga classes and at some point the teacher was taking pictures without our consent...Anyway good experience just a little off by small details.

The resort is beautiful and the food is fantastic.

The spa was disorganized and the staff were inattentive. Probably the worst spa I've been to. The resort and food were amazing so it was surprising that the spa was not that good.

Room was great, view was amazing

The food in the restaurant was not good Asked for a orenjada and given a sprite. We had to explain its suppose to be orange juice with soda water We also got the cauliflower dish and it was completely oversalted, we had to send it back Coconut shrimp was completely over priced We got 6 shrimp on a bed of lettuce The brownie was really good

The facilities are beautiful, it makes you feel like you are in a real sanctuary. the view from the bedroom is so calming and even more enjoyable from your private pool inside the bedroom. The (climatized) pool area also nice. many activities available to complement your stay, some free, others at a cost.

Food is ok but not great.

Beautiful location, tranquil, lovely, spacious rooms with private pool and lounge with a spectacular view, Good yoga as part of the stay. Terrific spa with amazing massages. Lovely restaurant. Attentive, friendly, efficient staff. A great place for a relaxing getaway from Mexico City.

Facility is beautiful, but could use maintenance of aspects affected by humidity. My windows didn't open easily and I had to call staff to open and close them, and they were unable to resolve the problem during my stay. Also, the screen on the window for bugs only covered the opening partially so the room filled with bugs in the evening when I came back and turned on the light. Even a scorpion appeared! Food in general was great, but on a chicken sandwich I ordered from room service one rainy evening the chicken was dry and didn't seem fresh.

The view from the pool is amazing! The restaurant is good, everything is clean, good Wi-Fi, there is meditation music everywhere which turn makes the place super calm, this place is magical! Good for couples!

We told the staff I was going for my one year anniversary with my partner, booked 2 months in advance and the gave me the last room with no view to the river. It’s an expensive hotel, I expected they would take this into consideration.

It's like heaven on earth

The wind in hallway kept making the door shake which sounded like someone's trying to break in

Beautiful views

The hotel very nice but would not be a good choice for children or people with mobility problems. Stairs are irregular, steep inclines and many different levels in the room.
