Posada de la Aldea

I had stayed here before, for a wedding. Its a nice and quiet location. Friendly staff and they have a restaurant, heated pool (which is relaxing) and spa onsite as well. Walking distance to the main square and across the street there is a restaurant named "Hecho en Mexico" which i recommend. I returned with friends and it was their 1st time to SMA and they were pleased to have stayed there.

Pre-pandemic the restaurant had breakfast, lunch and dinner. When I was there June 2022 it was only open from 8-12p. Besides that I personally dont have negative things to say. We had a great stay.

The property spacious with nice landscaping statues, benches, flowers. The lobby very large and clean and nicely furnished. Nice restaurant and friendly staff. Food was good. Breakfast buffet on weekends. The pool was great with lounge chairs and water was pumped with warm water. Bedrooms were spacious and very clean.

It was okay that there were aerobics classes in the pool but it wasn’t fair that guests staying there could barely swim in pool while aerobics going because of outsiders coming for aerobics. Sometimes there were two sessions on same day.

Location was terrific! Minutes away walking to the main square. The grounds were very rustic and kept the vibe of San Miguel. This appears to be an old Catholic monastery with signs of that time period seen throughout the property which is very nice. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff very friendly. Will definitely come back.

My room view was of a dry creek bed with a parking lot. Otherwise no complaints. Should've upgraded to the courtyard facing rooms, but our stay was too short to make it worthwhile and we were seldom in our rooms anyway.

The location is pretty comfortable, has large parking lot and just outside the narrow street in the center of city making arriving with car with no issue. It is like 8mins walking distance to the center so perfect. The garden is just so gorgeous and super well maintained. The room is very clean and with double window so is very quiet in the evening

The main building where the room is located is a bit old style. Decoration and furniture are old, the AC position is not very comfortable. But does not matter that too much for us.

The location is great, 5 minutes walking to the downtown. The room very confortable. The bathroom very well and clean. The shower excelent. The beds very good. The gardens beautiful. The parking lot perfect. The elevator very good. The restaurante only for breakfast. I did not use it.

The frontdesk and lobby… Dark, no decoration… it is a shame, because the hotel is very good. Close the front desk there is a fountain, it could be gorgeous space, but it is not.

•I lost card key for room, on last night there and was charged extra at checkout. I don't typically lose hotel room card keys but have had it happen a couple times in the past and no U.S. hotel or motel has ever charged for a lost card key, that I am aware of. The cost of the charge was less of an issue, than was the principle of the charge, since this seemed to me, to be such a minor deal.

Beautiful hotel, courtyard, view. Would stay here again. Great location. Lovely room with more than adequate storage and comfort. Great service from Eric at breakfast. On his day off, slow, cold coffee, etc. Excellent strong hot coffee, omelet, and papaya. Staff friendly and helpful if approached.

Why are all communications from booking.com coming from "Rokin Hotel through booking.com" for all my other hotel bookings (including the Posada de la Aldea) that have nothing to do with the Rokin hotel? Clogged sink drain. Poor lighting for reading.

The location is good, very close to the city center. The building is beautiful and the garden has many plants and seats where you can look at the place. Also, the parking is large, and it has ceils to sun protection for the cars.

At the night, the noise was high. We heard what happen in the hall and up floor more than any hotel. The room was frugal, and it could have a bit more light for my liking. Also, the internet coverage was low, and the TV didn’t have streaming apps.

The staff were very nice. The hotel was really beautiful--amazing gardens. The bed was hard but surprisingly comfortable and the pillows were excellent.

Mainly I would have liked more fresh air in the room--ie for the window to have been open, airing the room, before I arrived. But this is really common these days. So many hotels seem to clean with chemicals and then leave the place closed up, when the experience would be better for the guest of the room was aired.

This was a great Hotel :) We enjoy the stay! The decoration is amazing! I love this little Hacienda and I love that it was really near to the city center! It was super clean! the staff was kind and we really have a great time :) thanks

All was great! just the swimming pool is not very warm ^^ it's of course not cold but not very warm ^^ but it is super clean and really we appreciate the fact of having it :) we love this little Hotel!
