Hotel Lucerna Mexicali

I LIKED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. THIS IS CLEARLY A 5 STAR HOTEL. STAFF IS GREAT. ROOM SERVICE IS THE BEST AND FAST. I WAS EVEN ABLE TO TRUST THE BELL MAN WITH MY CAR KEYS TO GRAB MY STUFF I LEFT IN THE CAR FROM MY WEDDING CELEBRATION 🍾 THE TIP WAS WELL WORTH THE SERVICE. THE ROOM WAS REALLY CLEAN CLEAN AIR THE BED IS EXCELLENT I SLEPT LIKE A KING. I WILL DEFINITELY VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN.

I ate at all the restaurants. No complaints, the food is excellent at all locations, breakfast is very pricey if you only want a couple eggs.

There is no refrigerator in room. Also the room at best is dimly lit at night, not enough if you are trying to work at the desk. Also, the desk chair (not desk chair) was not comfortable for long periods, did not roll or adjust height.

Two pool areas and a very good mexican breakfast. Very kind people. The hotel is an enclosed facility with more buildings and restaurants. The Italian restaurant has the best Ceasar salad we have ever had, though the prices are higher.

Double beds are too narrow - not OK. The cold water in the pools. But we stayed in exceptionally cold period, I understand that a desert city doesnt need heated pools much.

4th time staying there over the past 5 years. The staff are very professional and polite. Now that Covid is an issue, it was nice to be able to have dinner in the outdoor restaurant. Food was very good. There is a pharmacy across the street with great prices compared to USA. 2 of the top seafood restaurant in town are just a short drive. Parking is very safe. Security patrols the grounds. Good wifi. It's on a major road and centrally located so it is easy to go anywhere. If I go out at night I leave the car at the hotel and take an UBER...very cheap.

You can not adjust the volume on the TV. It is pre-set. That means you won't be bothered by the TV from the next room, but it also means I could not watch the TV - I could not hear it, and I am not hard of hearing. the wifi worked well, I was able to stream Netflix, Hulu, & Amazon on my laptop with no problem. Would be nice if there was a coffee maker in the room.

The hotel was located very close to the border crossing in Mexicali. Very comfortable place. The staff were outstanding, and very eager to lend any assistance I needed. English was spoken by all staff and was very much appreciated. The Italian restaurant on the property was exquisite. I highly recommend the Osso Bucco! The waiters were all very helpful in recommending items on the menu. They chose perfectly!

What an amazing hotel and the staff there was incredible. Right from checking in to leaving they made me feel like I was extremely welcomed. The location and atmosphere was amazing.

Was slightly disappointed in the restaurant service. The hotel staff set such a high standard and yet the staff in the restaurant was not even close.

Everything else, was great the customer service from the waiters,the bell boys where very attentive and nice. Security guard Francisco was an angel. The hotel pools, the terrazza bar. Everything very wheelchair accessible. I hope I get the opportunity to go back.

The first night the air condition wasn't working all night, and there was a huge bubble in the bathroom sink ceiling ready to pop.And the bathroom wasn't accessible for my wheelchair. But the next day unfortunately we had to pack again and move rooms. Ugh! But after that everything was great.

Francisco I think he is a bellhop, was amazing He had a great attitude and wonderful knowledge of the facility. I wish I had cash to tip him but we WILL be coming back and I’ll make it up to him.

honestly the bathroom had some questionable stains and there was someone else’s hair stuck to the wall

Everything! It was absolutely beautiful! The service was amazing, everything was super clean and smelled really clean, felt very safe along with where we parked the car. Overall super safe and clean.

The only things I can say is that the heater didn’t want to work but it wasn’t very cold in the room once we got under the covers it was fine. Also our key card stopped working but they fixed it for us and it worked fine after that!

My husband is Vegan . The restaurant did not include vegan options in their Menu , however they gave him options and were able to put together a Vegan dinner for him. Excellent Service. The person that guided us to our room was really polite and informative .
