The hotel room is spacious. it has a separate bath area and toilet area. I booked a room with western bedroom with a Japanese style tatami living room and private bath tub. The spacing is very good and enjoyable. It also provide public hot spring bath in ad hotel facilities.
The parking lot is a block next to the hotel and it wasn’t indicated clear enough. Once I arrive, I parked in front of the hotel and was aiming to check in and ask for the parking area. A staff come by and asked me to move the car away (park to the proper place before checkin) first. The staff did show me where is the location of car park. Overall experience is good but the tone the staff instruct me is a bit not peaceful.

The room was very big, with separate Japanese-style "living room" and two western-style beds in their own bedroom. We also had a private Onsen bath in our room. It felt like luxury for a not-so-terribly-high price. The restaurant was great but we only had breakfast there. The hotel Onsen was clean and nice too but it was our first true Onsen experience so it's hard to compare. Staff didn't speak much English but was very nice and helpful. We profited from the seaside location of Ito for swimming in the ocean, both at Ito beach and at the Penguin beach nearby. We also rented a car for a day and visited Mount Omuro and Lake Ashi (Hakone), which allowed us to drive through the mountains and have wonderful views of the Pacific, the countryside and Mount Fuji that showed up right in front of us several times. I chose Ito as an alternative to Hakone and both my wife and me were very happy about this choice!
Difficult to find anything that we wouldn't have liked.

I am surprised the hotel does not have a better rating. It's a really nice Wellness hotel. The beautiful outside Onsens was what we wanted. And it was affordable compared to other onsen hotels. The staff at reception spoke good English. Also in the restaurante, we had an English speaking waiter. The food is excellent. Book for dinner at least once!. We had a Japanese style room and didn't know what that meant, but you have your bed on the floor, which was a great experience. The town is cute, like a holiday area in more rural areas is Europe. Supermarket in walking distance and food options.

The staff at this ryokan were so sweet and helpful, especially the wait staff at dinner. They did their best to describe all the different dishes they served us, which at times was very difficult since some ingredients did not translate well from Japanese to English. The room was spacious and quiet. We had the option of sleeping on western style beds or futons. We also had an in-room onsen which was heaven!!! So wonderful to return to the ryokan after a full day of sightseeing to a wonderful multi-course meal, a hot shower and a lovely soak in the furo.
The ryokan was a little bit off the beaten path. It would have been nice to have a view of the beautiful Ito coast. The only thing I would suggest would be to have softer pillows available. Unfortunately, the pillows provided were very hard and uncomfortable.

Decent 4 star hotel/ryokan with touches of nice Japanese Design. There are two sofa chairs and a little table in the sitting area by the window and a tea table with four (!) zaisu-chairs in the center of the tatami area. Windows in the room can be opened to let in fresh air. Building was well heated, room felt cozy. The Private Onsen Rooms (with a view) in the Public Onsen were great. Outdoor and foot bath. Location is good, with the center of Ito with lots of restaurants and shops only a short walk away (so is the beach). Free Parking. Altogether the pros outweigh the cons. Will definitely be back.
We stayed two nights and booked the Standard Room. Although we are used to sleeping on futons, this one feels almost too hard. If you want a bed, book the Premier Room (which is twice as expensive). Another problem is the tea table and the four(!) zaisu-chairs we had in the room. You don't really know where to move them to make room for the futons. With the futons laid out (which you have to do by yourself), the room suddenly feels blocked. The sofa chairs look nice, but they are quite uncomfortable to sit on (because it was winter, we spent most of the evenings in the room). So there is nothing to lounge around. Lightning is not great either. Staff at reception are a bit condescending. Doors close at 24:00 hrs. Lobby is nice, but lifeless.

We booked the room with a private onsen. It was spacious and comfortable. The kaiseki dinner was delicious and the restaurant staff were very helpful, they provided me with a reclining chair/bed for my 4 month old who can’t sit up yet and I was able to enjoy my dinner as my baby fell asleep in it. Dining is very family and child friendly.
Had to pay 100 yen for toothbrush which seemed odd to us but it’s in line with their efforts to be environmentally friendly

Laforet Ito is a beautiful hotel with good customer service and lovely facilities. The onsen in the room was lovely and felt so special. All staff were lovely from bringing our bags in on arrival to fitting us in for an evening meal. The meal in the restaurant was lovely on the pricier side but you get what you pay for.
Finding restaurants in Ito was challenging definitely book somewhere to eat particularly when visiting not in high season

EVERYTHING. the onsen was great. The rooms were big and comfy. We didn’t even sleep in the American beds as the futons were so comfortable. The amenities were cute and useful. The ac was accurate and responsive. The breakfast was AMAZING. We loved it.
We were not allowed to check in early, but that wasn’t really an issue as they held our bags while we took a stroll around the coast. Our bags were already in the room when we returned. So I guess this isn’t really a dislike!

I liked our room with an onsen. My family and I enjoyed it because apart from the bed, there is also a futon that we can sleep on and I was happy because there was baby rice😊 because my baby is eight months old. They all have what I'm looking for especially for the baby.
everything is ok to me but I just suggest that they can change their blower in the room. It's weak because it's so small. when there is a fast walk, the hair does not dry immediately

Very clean. Close to Ito station (around 6 minutes’ easy walk) and supermarket is just nearby. Relatively new hotel in the area with traditional Japanese vibes yet modern facilities. We stayed in the Japanese/Western style mixed room with in-suite onsen-like bath which was very nice but somehow the water was dripping over night which kept my husband awake.
The front desk staff was English speaking but came across as a bit cold. The breakfast (buffet style) was lacking in variety and the taste was just average.
