Calaponte Hotel

A lovely hotel with clean, spacious comfortable rooms. The staff are lovely too, always cheerful at breakfast (which was a good offering), attentive around the pool at lunchtime, and reception super helpful. The food was pretty good. The pool and pool area are the best thing about the hotel. So big and spacious and not crowded at all. I would stay here again. It’s 5 minutes from polignano by tuk tuk (Mario is your main man) or a 30 minute walk.

Some people may prefer a hotel in the centre of town (very few have pools however)

Extremely clean room, recently refurbished and.quality bathroom. The toiletries are great quality and our room had its own private terrace which led to the pool. The pool is enormous and so well looked after, we loved the lifeguard who was so chilled and friendly. Breakfast was good continental style with strong coffee and lovely staff. Just 30 min walk to nearby Polignano a Mare. Very happy with our stay at Calaponte!

For a four star hotel I was surprised that there was no room service, however a small menu was available for collection which we did one night - a delicious artichoke pasta dish. In the whole hotel there is not one ironing board and iron which frankly isn't good enough and I was surprised that this wasn't available. No coffee machine or kettle.in the room which again is not 4* expectation.

The overall impression was very very good. The style and facilities were perfect. The food was delicious, and the range was not that high, but it was enough of everything. Stuff is polite and responsive. Big parking, the beautiful hotel territory with lots of greens. The weather was perfect even in November.

It was a bit cold and humidity was very very high in the room, so our swimsuits didn't have a chance to dry. The price for wellness is way too high (50 euros per person for the 75-minute private session). The property is reachable only by car from my perspective.

The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and it was lovely to have breakfast overlooking the beautiful pool. The staff at this hotel are very kind and friendly. The location is great-the hotel is in walking distance of Polignano San Vito and it’s also easy to hire a tuk tuk for transport. We really enjoyed our time at Hotel Calaponte and our stay was made extra special by watching the antics of the kittens who played outside our patio in the evenings. It was refreshing to know the staff looked out for them. We shall definitely return to this hotel.

Calaponte Hotel resides just outside of the beautiful city Polignano a Mare, with a walkable distance to centrum or beaches near by. The hotel itself is really nice, modern looking and has a good vibe to it. There's also great space for parking, so if you arrive in a car, there's plenty of space for you to park! The staff are forthcoming, and are very helpful and kind, and they speak English very well! I arrived early, but couldn't check in until later, so the kind lady asked if i wanted to leave my luggage at the hotel, which i happily said yes to, and when i came back to check in later, they had already placed my luggage in my room. The hotel room was spot clean, nice and comfortable, with a very big comfortable bed, but you get the option to split it in two, when booking. The bathroom was just beautiful and pleasant, with a great shower and towels which gets replaced everyday. The room also comes with a small terrace with a table and two chairs, if you fancy relaxing outside in the shade. There's also a pretty big attractive swimming pool, but since i traveled in October, i didn't make use of it, that being said, i do regret not having brought my swimming shorts, since the whether was nice. ;-) Sadly i cannot give my opinion on the food, even though i had the option to eat breakfast for free, i am simply not a breakfast type of guy, maybe ill try it next time! I had a delightful stay, and i would definitely choose this hotel again!

A laundry basket would have been cool as well. Since there was none, i was forced to put my used clothes into the closet. The hotel could use a gardener, who maintains the weeds growing from the ground, and the bushes from overgrowing. Lacking menu card in English. WiFi wasn't great. Some apps didn't function while connected.

Beautiful pool area, and very well served (inc. table service for food and drinks). Room was spacious and comfortable. Location is a little out of town which is great, but has access to nearby beaches.

There was only one plug socket in the bedroom, which was slightly frustrating when it came to charging devices etc!

We had an amazing stay in Calaponte Hotel for 3 nights while travelling around Puglia. The grounds were so well maintained, spotless rooms, excellent breakfast buffet and lunches available. The pool was amazing and was always monitored by a life guard. To walk into Polignano would take about 20 minutes, so as we have a young son we would typically order a Tuk Tuk from reception for the 5 minute journey which would cost about 10 euro. Highly recommend staying in Calaponte Hotel.

lovely room with outside seating area overlooking the excellent pool. Didn’t try the spa so can’t comment on those facilities. Nearby town is pretty & travelling to it by Tic Toc was fun.

if I’m being picky it was the harsh lighting in the restaurant during the evening we had to eat inside due to the weather, subtle evening mood lighting would be better .

The room and bath were large and comfortable, the terrace with a pool view. We checked in after 1am and the front desk was open - one of the reasons we picked the Calapone - the other being parking was available which we wanted because we would be so late. The breakfast was wonderful, the staff helpful and sweet and it was a good value, especially by US standards.

Everything was so easy. Staff very pleasant to deal with. Pool was amazing, and nice and chilled. Rooms were big and super clean. REally enjoyed the stay here.

Reception in need of a redecor to go in line with chilled vibe of the hotel.
