Best Western Grand Hotel Guinigi

Staff were extremely helpful, friendly & spoke excellent English. The facilities were perfectly clean, room was comfortable. Plenty of available parking off street.

This is a nice hotel, with dedicated staff, nice rooms, good breakfast and not bad location. I was happy with room comfort, bed comfort, bathroom equipment, breakfast quality and helpful staff. Would stay again.

First day cleaning was perfect. But last day I was playing with my son on the floor and I thought that it was not vacuumed at all. Busy road is nearby - but it's not a big problem with closed window. Small details in the bathroom need attendance. I also think it is a bit too expensive for it's value.

The air conditioning kept the room cold, which was fine. We could not figure out how to adjust the temperature. The towels were fluffy and plentiful, as two of us had a triple room. The hotel was a short and easy drive to old Lucca. The hotel has free, off-street parking, and we always found a spot to park. The room was cleaned and resupplied daily. We used the laundry service for our jeans, which came back as scheduled. We dined at the hotel once, and the food was very good. The room safe worked well as did the elevator.

The breakfast buffet was boring. The scrambled eggs were cold and slimy (every day). There was an abundance of sweet pastries and an array of meats and cheeses, but no variety. Each day was the same. The shower stall was very small and the floor had large lumps for traction, but those bumps hurt my feet. We had no view out of our window, which was blocked by the third bed. The internet/wifi was sporlactic, and the user name and password were changed without notification.

Excellent reception by well English speaking staff willing to assist in any way possible. Large and very clean room. Outstanding brrakfast.

Bar requires additional help. One person to deal with the customer, prepare orders, prepare snacks, deliver order to tables and deal with payment is too much. It caused excessive delays to service.

Awesome staff, location, parking, quiteness, family and pet friendly,, AC, large bath (bath tub and shower) and room size.

Although the breakfast was quality good it was poor in selection but for 10€ could not expect much.... and....at one point there were ants in the room (no idea from where) Wish the shower had an opaque door not transparent

Parking in front of the hotel. Large, clean bedroom with excellent bathroom. The kettle in the room is always a plus. Air conditioning effective. A really full breakfast for only 5 Euros

The restaurant was disappointing (although the service was good). The meat was well below standard for Toscana. The hotel is in the country some distance from Lucca; absolutely no way of walking into town. Strange that they added 1.5 Euros to the bill for a bottle of water from the fridge, particularly in that the total bill was around 230 Euros.

Very nice accommodations, excellent food and service. Had both breakfast and dinner at hotel, quality and selection were outstanding. Room size and furnishings were as good (if not better than) as expected.

Popular hotel for tour groups, therefore, could not get dinner reservations one night and had to have sandwiches in the bar. The hotel is NOT walkable to the center of Lucca, but had no problem driving in and finding parking.

Fabulous hill top location. Very good quality dinner and breakfast. Rooms modern and clean. Convenient location for one night stop when travelling in car North/South

Big climb between room and restaurant, only suitable for people with full mobility. Trade off for nice hill top location!

The room was very spacious and clean with nice decoration and furniture. Very nice the marble bathroom with big bathtub. Good policy about drinking water. Nice balcony with sitting area and view of the hills.

The shower cabin could be improved, the door is not easy to open and water leaks from the bottom. An extra bin in the room would be useful, I have found just one bin in the toilet. A king size mattress is comfortable if it is one piece, if you put together to small mattresses to make it bigger it's not the same thing. I did not like breakfast, it was very cheap and poor.

The hotel was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast had varied dishes, but the same every day. The room was very clean and spacious.

The location of the hotel is a little far from the sights of the city of Lucca, but if you have a car it is no problem.
