Bad St Isidor

A perfect stay along my trip. The location is perfect, in the middle of the mountain, thus the view was perfect. All the property was very clean, glowing, like I didn't want to make it dirty. And I got the view as well from the bathroom. And of course delicious food for breakfast and dinner. This is a family owned hotel, and they managed themselves, and all of them was so kind, Bernie, Dorris, and also Pietro. They always kind to bring and pick me from the cable car. Perfect.

Please note that we have to use Kohlern cable car to go up the mountain, and from there still about 3 km down the road. So for a solo traveler without car like me, better you call the hotel to pick and bring you to the cable car. If I can suggest, maybe it will be very good for the hotel to provide shuttle bus. But anyway, the owner always ready when we call them.

Stunningly peaceful location with miles of walking in the mountains right on the doorstep. A bit of a journey into Bolzano but even without a car it wasn’t difficult - the owners offer free shuttles to the cable car but it’s also a lovely walk to it as well! Wonderful 3 courses of home-cooked food every night & a great breakfast in the mornings. Rooms were simple but exactly what we needed, and very clean. Views from the balcony are absolutely beautiful. The pool area is well-maintained and we loved the fact that it’s in the middle of the meadow rather than being all tiled etc! The owners are excellent hosts & they speak Italian, German & English. We stayed for 3 nights which was ideal for us not having a car, but you could easily stay for longer if you had some transport to explore a little more widely and have this lovely little hotel as a base!

The hotel staff and restaurant staff were exceptional. My wife is a vegetarian and they prepared wonderful meals for her. The setting was great, the room comfortable. We enjoyed the included Bolsena pass, we rode the gondola into town and took the bus to the Iceman museum--all fees included with the pass. We wish we had stayed longer. Danke

The furnishings were a touch dated but we didn't mind as the room was quiet and comfortable.

A perfect place to enjoy a peaceful holiday. Our room was clean, cozy and practically furnished. Breakfasts were tasty, with delicious bread and pastry and very good coffee. We have also appreciated the pool located in the middle of a meadow, where we could do our morning yoga exercise and refresh in the cool water without disturbing other guests. The hosts are very nice people who put their hearts into their work and this amazing place.

While the room was not too big, it was very cosy and the beds were comfortable to sleep on. The dinner was incredible and had a great variety of different dishes. Each dinner was better than the previous one! The service and staff was ever so pleasant and kind and the owners were absolutely the sweetest. The hotel had a wonderful view out the window of the nature, mountains and the wonderful sunsets.

The only thing we might say that was the downside is the lack of time we had to spend in this hotel.

It would be good to pay attention to impact of cigarette smoke on nonsmoking guests. We got smoke in our room from a nearby guest when we had the window open. It was hot weather so this was a bit of a problem.

Extremely cozy and peaceful getaway very close to the center of Bolzano. Hosts were superwelcoming, and both dinner and breakfast – delicious and local. Enjoyed every single detail, up to a handmade soap in the bathroom instead of liquids :) Thank you, that's certainly a place to come back for longer – there're still many unexplored routes near Bad Isidor!

Everything was amazing. The owners are incredibly nice, the hotel is very clean and the location is amazing. The food is amazing. We loved everything about it.

Everything was perfect. They were always there to make our stay the most comfortable possible. The restaurant is totally recommendable, even for us that we are vegetarians. The road to the place it is a bit narrow and with many curves but the view of the valley is worth it.

The host was really helpful and friendly. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and I 100% recommend taking both. The view from the balcony was incredible. You should meet sunset there. My husband and I really enjoyed this hotel. Thank you so much for hosting us.
