the rooms and the gardens

chaos in the restaurant at dinner and at breakfast time. people were running about but didn’t ask us were we ok did we want or need anything and no one came to clear the plates or give us the bill. waited 45 mins for dinner. breakfast was busy, when we were seated we weren’t advised of how to order breakfast. when we found where it was it was all gone. got the bare minimum for breakfast. asked for coffee 4 times and was brought tea. some of the toilets weren’t cleaned. leisure centre pool changing rooms needed more cleaning as well.

Killashee Hotel is extremely well kept, both exterior and interior. The hotel was very clean upon arrival, and we were greeted by Karen, the receptionist, who was very welcoming and friendly. Megan at the front desk was very helpful and very attentive also. We had dinner pre booked at the Oak & Anvil. The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Cocktails were very nice and a decent size too and very well priced. We received a warm welcome upon arrival to the bar by a lovely lady who seated us. The room was clean and spacious and very comfortable. The room had a Dyson hairdryer, which I think is worth a mention. We would highly recommend a stay at Killashee Hotel.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. The stay overall was very nice and relaxing.

Nearly everything! The bed was so comfy, big bathroom, lovely decor throughout- and especially the huge seating area with a bar/TVs.. very welcoming staff, lovely conservatory serving snacks etc

The breakfast unfortunately didn’t live up to the other very high standards!! The plates were cold, most of the breakfast was cold ..(9am)..bare minimum yoghurt/fruit/cold meats platter/cheese.. plenty of the “Irish “ breakfast stuff but cold.. offered only toast, no other variety of bread. Wouldn’t put me off going again though! And being outside the town is a little disadvantage- we paid for two taxis in/out of town.. ok, but rather not have to!

The food in gastro bar was lovely...overall most staff were nice . The beds were very comfortable and good size. The facilities for children great the playroom and playground.(playground could do with a bit of maintenance on zipp line and bark to reduce muck as very slippy). Gardeners so nice and friendly and so proud to talk about plants and the gardens. They were so beautifully maintained. Christmas trees were absolutely fabulous 👌.

In the food area there were 1 or 2 who seemed to really dislike their job which in turn affected the manner in how they spoke to guests. the carpet in bedroom and floor in bathroom were not clean. The pool its self was not clean dirty plasters floating in both the kids pool and big poo the kids pool was filthy hair and dirt on the floor of the pool early morning too. The floors around the pool also not clean and this was early in the morning. A mini fridge in bedroom, ours once had one. We had medication to store but no fridge. We should have specified. Bathroom timber work poorly painted and poorly maintained. Bathroom a bit on small side and toilet seat was broken. Wouldn't stay up so when sitting on toilet the back of seat would hit your back.

Lovely setting in the grounds, and internally very nice. All round, a lovely hotel that we will definitely come back to and recommend.

Unclear on time restrictions for child access to pool. Only place telling you is at pool side when too late to know on first arriving that children aren't allowed in during evening. Also when did get, chaos in pool as 3 lanes with swimmers and other half of pool fully taken over by water aerobics, so nowhere to just go and have fun with kids. Bathroom was good, but compared to rest of hotel and even rest of room was a bit dated.

Lovely grounds and beautifully appointed and decorated interior areas (larkspur bar and reception area in particular). Very conveniently located on outskirts of Naas. Very comfortable bed and good quality bed linen, nespresso machine and hairdryer. Lovely hot shower and toiletries provided. Nice sized pool and great sauna, steam room and jacuzzi available to guests. Pippin tree restaurant had a good choice of food on the menu, with wines reasonably priced. Nice touch to have live music from 10pm on saturday night and very accommodating barman who brought coffee over to us even though he was overstretched

Rooms very difficult to locate and confusing room layout, with different lifts etc Service in Pippin Tree restaurant was average, food good quality but lamb rump was overcooked. Plug in bedroom sink was clogged. Room (126) had an interconnecting door through which we cld hear our next door neighbours at 3am in the morning....not acceptable for a 4☆ hotel

this was our second visit to the hotel, unfortunately we were disappointed with our room, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable it actually gave me a sore back and at one point we were waiting on the springs coming through the mattress this was a massive disappointment for us as we were celebrating our 32 wedding anniversary and to be honest it wasn’t as if it was a cheap stay this was a treat for my husband and I which left us feeling very disappointed as we had been really looking forward to our stay.

Staff were excellent, friendly & helpfull throughout the premises. Oak & Anvil had good atmosphere & the Larksper was comfortable with a nice ambience.

In the "BEATRIX" room most of the furniture & room doors squeaked something terrible which some oil would sort. The coathangers in the wardrobe were ridiculous high - needed to stand on a chair to reach them. Bathroom was very small and didn't have anywhere to hang used towels. None of these things would stop us booking the Killashee again but most could be eliminated with very little effort.

The room was very comfortable, particularly the queen sized bed & bedding, and size and facilities in the bathroom. The lounge was gorgeous for relaxing in and the staff were very attentive. The attention to detail in the gardens was really great, they have done a wonderful job - beautiful connection with charities. We also used both the pool and the spa and really enjoyed both. We will definitely return for another visit!

The keycards were problematic at first, but the staff were great in sorting it out and once they worked, they continued to work.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Exceptionally friendly staff, great facilities. Extremely comfortable and very quiet rooms. Loved the Bar on the first floor, really relaxing and comfortable area. Everything about this place was excellent and can't wait to return.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing. The Hotel was just so busy and full to capacity as it was the Easter weekend the staff were just under pressure I would think with so many covers all at the one time. The food was nice but it was just some of the buffet trays were empty and despite waiting a while for them to be topped up I had to have my Irish breakfast minus the Bacon and sausage. Everything else was excellent but had to ask several times for Coffee.
