The location was very good for our purposes, on the main street close to bus stops or the DART station. The shower was very good and the bed comfortable. It's very suitable and good value for one or two nights if you don't intend to spend long in the room.

Firefly works entirely automatically so don't expect a human touch. The room was quite dark with only a window looking out on a small back yard.

Great location on main street, just over the bridge. Parking a few mins walk away in Herbert St. Car Park. Room was spacious, large comfortable bed, huge TV, clean, decent shower/toilet, local info provided, water refill station available by front door. There was an air-conditioner in the room. The room looked out onto the main street so may be noisy, but I always travel with ear plugs. The room/apartment block is about 5 mins walk from the promenade. I recommend a trip to the Harbour bar for refreshments. Good value for money, clean, comfortable room.

The key code on the front door had been changed before we arrived, without notification. A quick call to the reception sorted the issue. A small fridge would be great - these are lacking in most Irish hotels these days.

Very nice decor, looks like it's been recently renovated. Comfortable bed, fantastic shower. Very efficient check in system via text message and safety deposit boxes. Great coffee making facilities in the room as well.

No lift so you need to pack light if you're on the second floor. No reception desk visible in case there were any issues (not that we needed it). There is no breakfast option for this hotel, for the price of the room I would've thought some sort of breakfast other than just coffee in the room could have been available.

My wife and I had to attend a birthday party in Bray so we decided to stay overnight in the town. I found the Firefly concept interesting - we just needed a bed for the night which was clean, comfortable, and safe. The room was smaller than we had expected but it was spotless and comfortable (we used the air-con to heat the room). The bathroom was exceptionally clean with toiletries provided. A coffee-maker provided hot water if needed for making tea. The hotel is centrally located with all amenities within walking distance - there are some good cafes nearby for breakfast. We liked it so much we have booked it again for our next visit to Bray. Thanks to the 'invisible' staff who make it so appealing.

Close to the railway station and the seaside. Very clean and tidy. Nespresso coffee machine in the room Everything worked as expected concerning the PIN codes on arriving, but I do prefer places with staff and breakfast.

No staff, no breakfast (but I new it, I had no other affordable hotel in Bray and I wanted to try this type of "no staff accomodation") No luggage storage : as there is no staff, maybe lockers could be useful to enjoy the city without carrying heavy luggage.

Extremely clean, comfortable room. Very well designed with all the facilities I needed. Good quality bed linen and towels. Looked very new and well maintained. Very quiet. Great location. Arrangements for entry to the property and room worked well and were very efficient.

Everything else was fine.

Towels only changed once in five days even though we requested them. to many stairs to top floor for older people. People in next room were shouting and laughing at two thirty in the morning with tv on loud. Need notices up to tell people to be quiet as there are other people there.

Great location, convenient to park locally. Easy access re checking in and the room was a great size and lovely design- the air con was very good too. Despite being on a busy street it wasn’t noisy at night and felt very secure.

The bed/pillows were slightly uncomfortable and they were also quite warm despite the air con- it would’ve been perfect for winter but in summer it was a bit hot and hard to get a great sleep

The room was clean, comfortable, had everything we needed in terms of iron & board, hairdryer, hanging space, decent coffee, shower gel etc. Only thing Firefly didn’t have was a luggage storage room but this was sorted by Martello (sister company/other branch) which was 5-10 min walk away along the beach front

Lighting. I’m a performer and the lighting to do my make up was not great. In the bathroom there is the option of two lights in a small space which is great but no natural light. In the bedroom there are bed reading lights (SUPER bright) and warm lighting above, there is some natural light but it was blocked near the mirror and all lighting was all behind me so wasn’t ideal. Seems like a small issue but it’s a bedroom where you’re supposed to get ready..! Was very hard to see if I looked caked in make up or fine..! Also the room was smaller than my colleagues… I had minimal space to move around, walk past the bed. Luckily I have a petite frame but my colleague is a 6ft male so although he offered to swap of course I declined!

Our stay at firefly was outstanding! from helping us with checking in a little early they were really helpful. I also love the idea of a contactless check in and out as it is seamless and really handy! Rooms were really well decorated nicely modern without being too brash! Room was spotless and beds were really comfy and the bathroom was really nice and modern and spotlessly clean also.

found it really hard to say a bad thing about our stay as we loved it so much, i think the only thing is the bed was a little soft for my liking but i still slept well and was very comfy but woke up with a sore back as I'm not used to the softness, but that is being really minor in detail and someone else could love the beds they have!
