Pacific Palace Hotel

It was a quick and fast planning happened in the very last moment of the weekend to visit Batam and choice shown in Booking.com was Pacific Palace Hotel. One of my friend was suggesting to book this hotel knowing the rating is already good. We booked it through booking.com and found it to be a great choice. Thanks to Booking.com for their recommendation. The resort is a huge well maintained place. Multiple options to enjoy in their premise. 3 days went in a jiffy and wanted to stay more time if time permits. Location, Ambience, Swimming pools, Kids recreation place, eateries, shops are few specifics to be mentioned to visit and engage yourself. The hotel itself constructed like a ship and you will get that feel when you are onboard into the ship :-). The breakfast buffet is okay with limited options but good. The backyard area is having a great food place to spend time near the backwaters. Rooms: Rooms were older but clean looking. Well maintained mattress and bathroom makes them better. Walkability: Though each of the room blocks and reception area is well connected through elevators. Food & drinks: Haven't tried drinks but food is good. Noteworthy details: Great view, Quiet, Kid-friendly

Breakfast Buffet could have been customised to Indian flavours to an extend. The dishes were too flat to taste without spices.

The room is spacious and pleasant. Counter staff Jan is polite and her English well-conversed. Check in admission and checking out are hassle free & fast. Bellman Rio is knowledgeable to our enquiry and helpful throughout our stay. Although he is bellman and not his job scope, he do have the initiative to assist guests’ need.

Not a complain or dislike, just my 2 cents worth of feedback. Room Balcony dusty and need to be clean time to time. Balcony door need to be maintain as it hard to open and close. The hotel was built uniquely and designed beautifully, but lack of building maintenance (eg. paint peeling). The corridor walls was painted red and caused the corridor to look dark even on day time.

Restaurant location is great directly opposite the lifts at the lobby. Selection was good with many varieties to choose from especially the freshly made eggs. I was there with family over the weekends, they have entertainment by the staffs during our breakfast and invited guests to join them in the dance which was very engaging and fun ! Kudos to the management !

Apart from the disco, KTV and pool, perhaps they could have more outdoor interactive facilities for guests to create the ambience especially the hotel is in the shape of a cruise ship. Overall, it was a great stay for us !

Bellboy was really friendly and introduced some places to us. location was good, is near the habour, but is not walkable due to not much pavement infrastructure, had to grab everywhere but grab is super cheap and since everything is quite nearby, the grab costs less than SGD$3. Massage was quite cheap as well, and was one of the better massages we got in Batam. There's a shady masseur at the other lobby

The facilities were quite old, e.g. lift, gym, pool. while we got the room with balcony, the balcony was facing indoors towards pillar which doesn't feel like a balcony and above is glass panels, so the balcony was super hot and humid.

Like the spacious grand entrance of the hotel. Staff very friendly and breakfast spread was adequate. Surprise to see Jamu also served but enjoy that local touch. The room was cosy and bed is comfy. Great location close to harbour bay and city.

Ironing board and iron condition was so bad. Some ironing board with holes and not able to stand. Iron wire not secured and should be replaced since it is a hazard. During breakfast, was short-staffed and need to wait so long for an omelette and pancake for so long.

I like the whole space in the room.. Especially bathroom.. It's so spacious! Maybe cos i booked Deluxe.. Also my other family have the opposite room from us which was really handy as we can help them with their babies.. And i love the view! We can see the ocean! Really happy for the stay!

Not much qty of teas/coffees as we travelling in couple & the water sprinkles are quite dusty.. So with blows of aircon, the dust may fall or spread in places..

Its a cruise ship stranded on the muddy shore,no wait,its an aged luxury hotel waiting for an infusion of maintenance cash, if your wililling to overlook some of the rough spots its a 👍 great value at $ 47 a nite including a sumptuous breakfast for two

if you can accept it for what it is,and explore the place,this multiple million boondoggle is worth a visit.there is no equal in room sizes.The bathroom alone was the size of our 4 star hotel in Singapore room at $200 a nite.Only 25 km away on the ferry.

It was save to stay. service from the staffs was good and friendly. Breakfast was good. Room service was good. it was my bday so there had a welcome cake for me very nice n sweet of them.

I book a suite the tv in room can’t on call help desk. Technician otw they said but stayed for 2 days but no one came luckily there was another tv in the living area. bathtub had stains.

The breakfast is good with normal verities of food. Would be better if the hotel can include some new cuisine that other hotels do not provide. But it's understandable as the crowd is not there at that moment. Wish your hotel can prosper with more patrons and visitors in the near future.

One of your front desk receptionists during the evening shift is not well trained and did not answer my question truthfully pertaining to the discotheque operation time. But lets not bring down the rest of the wonderful staff due to one girl.

Good location and friendly staff.

I had a deposit with the hotel which I was unaware of since I had paid in full during check-in. The staff was kind to inform me the next day which I had returned to Singapore. However, I am not sure when I would return to Batam again, I asked for the deposit to be refunded to my card which I have not received further updates from the hotel.
