Montigo Resort Nongsa

Staff and food at Montigo were exceptional. Staff were all very courteous and responsive to our requests. I thought the concierge provided by WhatsApp was a great idea; there was no need to wait for someone to receive the call and yet the resort was able to promptly respond to our WhatsApp requests round the clock. In addition, the breakfasts provided at Tadd's were of a wide variety and very sumptuous - a daily highlight that our family looks forward to.

The villa has a lot of floor space so it is understandable that some parts were left a little dusty. There was also a small leak from the ceiling at the master bedroom on the upper floor due to rain (which was easily solved by leaving a floor mat underneath), so it would be good if the resort could routinely maintain the property.

bed sheets& towels were all clean. bed is big and comfy! staff tries to keep the floor clean despite the ants trying to swarm at every small food bit they can get. staff are all friendly.

water pressure very low in the shower. everything within the resort is quite highly priced considering it’s Indonesia after all.

A SUPERB experience with Montigo @ Batam! Great experiences and memories formed there, and will definitely be back there for vacation. Very friendly staff (especially Lestari & Welly). We were all greeted professionally, and with their constant smiles and positive attitude and approach, we felt very welcomed and it feels really nice :) During the stay, with buggy services, it’s very convenient. And not to mention, the interior of the 3 Bedroom Villa that we booked, ITS IMPRESSIVE! We have nice staff for house keeping (Erwin & Team - Antoni, Albar, Dindro & Agung) Went to their KTV lounge too, served great food (packaged with pizzas & finger food), fun events like air gun shooting, etc. Overall, very nice people. Spacious and close to nature. Buggy is on time and the all the staff are friendly and always with a smile. Tigo Beach club is relaxing and suitable for families. Buffet spread was the best, it definitely improved from what we had during our last stay in 2022.

Our villa water supply did not work well, pulsating water pressure. It goes off for a few seconds and go back on full blast..a bit frustrating when you are showering/shampooing, especially when you are using the toilet facilities. They do not provide smart tv, which what we had the last round, but the local channels are alot! Pillows were a bit too soft for comfort.

I like the place and ambience and scenic view with the attached pools. Good assortments of restaurants and on site activities, the best of all is the staff. Especially Mr. Saran (Director of Hospitality) and Welly. Arranged as awesome 70th birthday for my mom and cousin .

The swimming pools should be running on a different pump and water system from the shower and tap points. After using the pool, I should not have to wait half an hour to use the shower. If that is the case, then that should be upfront informed so that the guests can plan their activities accordingly.

Lovely place with excellent staff who are always ready to help and assist you with a smile at anytime. The service at the restaurants ,be it TADD's, PENTAI or WARUNG and the spa were great. Our special thanks to Mr.Han who arranged all the activities for us and helped our son when he got hurt. Mr,Yoga,who accompanied and helped us with the bicycle ride and Mr.Pandi who took good care of our son till we were back from the bicycle tour.

The bicycles were in a poor state and broke down and had to be repaired while on the tour.Also very less choice of bicycles for kids.

My family and I stayed 3d2n in a 3 room villa R37. 6 adults 2 kids and 1 baby. It is definitely great to stay in a villa as a family, especially with such a nice sea view. The staff are very friendly and generally quite efficient. Though there are some hiccups, it was still a memorable pleasant stay. We request to have the baby cot during our booking and it is readily in the bedroom upon our arrival. We had in villa bbq dinner, most of the food were fresh, and chef did not overcook any of the food. The lobster is skip, but the squid, beef and lamb were good! The breakfast spread were quite good too. Every day, 70% of the items will be changed.

On the other hand, the villa we stayed was a bit old. The pool wasn't blue, and nails were dangerously poking out the wooden planks at the floor around the pool. First day, I still need to get them clear the drainage at my shower area. By the way, the floor can be extremely slippery when in contact with water, both indoors and some areas of outdoor. Bed was a bit too soft for us too.

Excellent service and attentive to details by the staff. The check in is hassle free and quick. Transport is arranged from Nongsapura Ferry Terminal to the resort. The staff are very friendly and often check in on us if we enjoy the stay so far Special shout out to the staff (Anne, Fellilia, Lestari, Musri, Salsabila & their manager) that surprised us with a song item and decorating our villa for our 1 year anniversary. The staff, Alexa and Chai at Warung restautant even noted that it’s our anniversary and surprised us with a cake when we were having dinner there on the first night. Similarly, Renita at Tadd’s restaurant also noted that it’s our anniversary and wished us when we have dinner there on the second night. Our Villa Manager, Erwin is attentive to address and check in the issues at our room. The team is quick to address issues like smell in the toilet and the faulty light at the mini pool. All in all, really impressed and amazed by the hospitality and service provided. Thank you to the staff for making our stay at Montigo Resort a memorable one.

The resort is adequately well furnished with many facilities, for both kids and adults. However, it's in need of an upgrade and improvement on the amenities as well as its buildings (especially post Covid). Wear and tear is clearly visible but can see the awesome effort put in to improve and renovate the property. Lots to do for the long run but very good service by the Montigo team.

The villas were in better condition than the last time we stayed in 2019. The staff are also helpful, polite, and cheerful. The food was very good.

We had to request for hand towels, extra bath towel and blanket even though the resort knew there was one additional person (1 child) staying with us.

Private pool. Comfortable king bed. Large size rooms. View. Quiet. Fab All Inclusive Breakfast Buffet. Plush Towels. Nice pillows and blankets. Attendants were very helpful and friendly. Welcome fresh drink upon arrival. Airport shuttle Attendants at the ferry were helpful. Airport Shuttle service was excellent. Buggy service ok. Saw 3 bedroom Villas and they are outstanding. We started in the 2 bedroom Villas and the beds were great for 5 pp. Very good service by having direct access to reception thru WhatsApp. Spa looked awesome but did not have a chance to have treatment - missed the chance.

TV needed to be bigger. Rennie says Netflix etc but there was no access. Small fridge. No microwave. More kitchen utensils and glassware. We were a family of 5 and everything was in 4's. Pool/ powder bathroom had no supplies of towels and soaps. Restaurant food was exceptionally expensive even for North America standards. Specialty activities but expensive or reasonably priced ones were sold out too quickly.
