Ideal Beach Resort

The Wi-Fi connection was erratic and we could not make WhatsApp calls. The bathroom did not have any hooks or rods to hang towels and clothes. There was only one plug point for charging electronic appliances. If these are addressed Ideal beach resort will be a superior resort.

Stay was pleasant. Food was good. Staffs are friendly. Awesome stay.

Lovely clean beach, with drink and food available. Beautiful grounds. The pool was large, deep and very clean. The best food we had anywhere in India.

This is a resort, not a hotel. Almost every day fifty to a hundred visitors (mostly groups of men) arrived and dominated the beach and pool. Perhaps we were unlucky because we stayed during a national holiday week but don’t expect to have the resort to yourself.

A lovely place to relax by the Bay of Bengal or to use as a base for exploring Mahabalipuram, Kancheepuram, Chennai, and Pondicherry. The staff is wonderful - very helpful and friendly. The food is excellent with some Sri Lankan options as well as the usual Indian and Continental dishes. The pool is clean and big enough for some real dimming but also designed to accommodate play. There are still some rough edges left by the long pandemic closure, but the management seems to be making headway in attracting local customers to replace the foreign tourists who used to be their main clients. If you’re okay with a few small problems - some outstanding repairs, some refurbishment required- it’s a super place to relax with friends, colleagues and family by the Bay.

Still some maintenance pending after the long shut down.

Sprawling resort by the beach, including a private enclave where you get hard drinks and good food served hot from a kitchen beside. You can bathe in the sea and change in a convenient bath right beside the beach. Rooms are like ke dupleix bungalows with antique wooden furniture and a large bathroom with a bathtub as well as a shower glass enclosure. Plenty of towels and reclining beach chairs in the balcony. Extraordinary food with plenty to choose from, including Sri Lankan delicacy. Complimentary buffet breakfast has over a 100 items. Golf carts to move around and friendly access for differently abled.

House sleepers and a broomstick to clean the floor required, as sand from our shoes made the floor dirty. Also, mosquito repellent to ward off the pest on evenings. Swimming pool water spilled over to the sidewalk on the second day.

Resort is right at beachfront, picturesque location to sit out and enjoy beach view. We chose sea view villa which has stunning sea view worth every penny. Wide range of delicious food. Garden restaurant is the most attractive. Team Raja ji are courteous, felt pampered. Kudos to Kimi ji for her care at the restaurant in tasting different kinds of food.

I gave a lot of thought, but, unable to find any.

The atmosphere was brilliant and the staff were kind and courteous. They were always ready to help and listen to our needs.. The food was was so good and very clean. Had massage at the parlour and it was amazing. Over all it was Great and enjoyable.

Coffee machine was leaking and needs to be replaced.The display of tea/coffee areas should be more clearer and visible

1. Clean private space on beach, had some chairs to relax and those huts to hide away from sun 2. Quick access to beach from the rooms 3. Nicely maintained gardens, pathways 4. Common restrooms were decent enough for a quick shower when you had played enough in the beach sand 5. Well equipped rooms with TV, AC, comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, clean 6. Battery powered cars to take you to room and back to reception 7. Welcome drinks and garland were also a great starting gesture 8. The morning buffet was elaborate with so many options and really liked it

1. The Al acarte menu was not tasty. The biriyanis were stale and very bland 2. Side dishes or so called starters were an absolute rob of money with hardly anything on the plate 3. I know the place is humid, but sitting for the buffet and the dinner was an absolute nightmare. Though there were fans up in the ceiling, the humidity was killing it and we were all sweating throughout the meal. If this place can be air conditioned, it will be such a good experience 5. Pool water was ok, but didnt look clean as much, but no issues on skin after playing for more than an hour 6. There were not enough life saving rings or any sports kit like balls to play with in the pool

Everything was up to the mark. The breakfast spread was also very scrumptious! The restaurant menu also had a wide variety of choices. The beach was very clean with lifeguards stationed at regular intervals who were very diligently keeping an eye on everyone who was in the water.

I was staying in room 406 during my stay at the resort. The room was very big and comfortable. The only problem was that the western closet in the bathroom was mounted very low which made using it very uncomfortable.

the room was very shabby, the furniture was old and damaged, the wallpaper came off the walls and the water boiler smelled like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. at checkout we experienced some troubles because we were charged two rooms even though we just received one room and one key at checking. a misunderstanding in the booking process resulted in double costs and the resort did not in any way try to work out a solution.
